GGerriLovely hotel located next to most popular old town street, Cangqiao Street. Also back of hotel is the labyrinth of lovely old waterways. It is set back from main street thru a narrow lane that car cannot access. However is a short lane where you can walk in easily. Or you can call up hotel to pick you up in their golf cart infront of Kong Yi Ji Restuarant on Cangqiao Street (only 5mins away).
Breakfast spread is sufficient and delicious.
Love my hotel room which is large with modern gadgets.
I like to thank this hotel's front desk staff (sorry didnt get her name) who helped me in her off duty time at the side of the hot main street trying to solve my prebooked taxi to Ningbo. The didi rid hailing driver somehow went to wrong pickup address and refuse to budge which eventually i have to cancel it. This wonderful young lady used her mobile app to book my ride cos my app just can't work anymore.
A note on the didi linked to Alipay or wechat, very frustrating experience for a foreigner. It will work fine initially then later keep asking for a new credit card input to proceed. Does not work with the new credit card too. Do setup other rid hailing app. besides didi.
My Ningbo taxi driver said to call this taxi phone no. 95128 in china (standard no. used in whole of china) to get a taxi, but i have yet to try it out.

Zzlf151First of all, the room is quite big, but the toilet has a bad smell, and it stinks if the door is not closed. Secondly, it is inconvenient to go to Cool Play Kingdom from the hotel. It is still a bit far to walk there. The experience of Cool Play Kingdom is average, so there is no need to go there specially. The hotel is close to Mountain Kingdom. It is okay to go to Mountain Kingdom on rainy days. The hotel can buy a two-day ticket, which costs 180 for adults and 90 for children. As for food and beverage, there is a tea restaurant in the hotel lobby, which is poor. Pineapple buns and wind claws are out of stock. The price in Mountain Kingdom is a bit expensive, a bowl of wontons is 22, three steamed buns are 20, and even the waiter keeps saying don't order buns, they are very small. In summary, there is no need to come specially, or there is no need to stay. Several parks are quite small, and you can leave after playing on the same day.

GGuest UserGot there around CNY eve, so things were a bit on the quiet side. Parking was a bit chaotic at first with cars parked all along the entrance, it was not clear where to park until I went inside and asked. Check in was quick and to my pleasent surprise the checkin agent Gary spoke English very well. He was extemely helpful and and accomodating. He even explained that breakfast would be included because of CNY. The hotel was very clean, room was clean. The hotel is at a very good location, central to many important areas in Shaoxing. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Check out was simple and the overnight parking fee was taken care by the hotel. Overall, the hotel has the quality, look and feel that you would expect from a Holiday Inn brand hotel. Would definitely recommend and will rebook in the future. Many families with kids too. Please note if traveling around CNY, certain restaurants etc may be closed for the holiday.

The software is basically not bad, sent a day of breakfast, every night there is mung bean soup white fungus, the basic service is good.
The traffic is more convenient, Shaoxing North Station is convenient for public transportation, and the bus station is downstairs, and it is convenient to buy things.
However, the front desk is not familiar with the train station line in the district, which is a bit unexpected. It is recommended to add more training in the future.
Overall satisfactory.
I think the Super 8 is good.

GGabor87The hotel staff didn't speak any English at all, but they were quite helpful. The room itself wasn't cleaned and there was clearly visible dirt on the carpet, we also got used, dirty and smelly hotel slippers - I asked the staff by using translator to replace it and clean our room because it wasn't cleaned, the promised to do this. They changed our slippers to new ones but the carpet wasn't vacuumed properly again. Apart from that it was fine. Breakfast was nice, rooms are spacious. The check-in and check-out procedure is time consuming because the staff doesn't know English and their procedures are aged - they copied my whole passport with all the previous trips to China and produced a lot of paper in the process for no reason. The check-out was done and we were asked to wait (to check if we used mini bar or something), but no one told us afterwards we can go so we waited for 5 minutes for no reason, I finally asked if we can go and only then the receptionist said yes xD
