I had such a wonderful stay this time, I just have to share! 😁 As soon as I walked in, I was captivated by Amanda at the front desk ≽^⚈⩊⚈^⩼. She was beautiful, had a sweet voice, and was incredibly efficient. She smiled throughout, introducing me to all the hotel facilities and thoughtfully reminding me when breakfast ended and the pool opened. Her attention to detail immediately won me over! Even though I'm just a basic club member, she patiently explained the member benefits and even gave me two drink vouchers to redeem during the day – so nice!!! When I checked in late at night, she thoughtfully asked if I needed a late check-out; truly full of thoughtful details. The room was 50 square meters, perfect for one person! The large French windows offered an expansive view, and the bed was so soft it felt like sinking into clouds – I didn't want to get up even to turn over. The room's overall style was modern and minimalist, with warm tones and soft lighting. The smart control system allowed me to adjust the curtains and air conditioning with a single touch. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and the toiletries were premium Byredo products, exuding luxury!!! The hotel lobby's design was full of character; every photo I took looked like a masterpiece. I absolutely must rave about the breakfast! There were so many options that it was hard to choose. The freshly made wontons were delicious, and there was an endless supply of Western pastries and fresh juices. There were also various egg options to choose from; the Eggs Benedict was the absolute best!!! The pool was also amazing. The constant water temperature was just right; after a couple of laps, I felt completely refreshed. Lounging on a poolside chair, I felt utterly content with life. In short, I truly love this hotel. I made sure to write this review before checking out. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shenzhen!!

We stayed at the Intercontinental from August 31st to September 3rd – two adults and children aged 16 and 10. We chose a deluxe room with a garden view (which actually offered views of both the garden and skyscrapers) with two double beds. From the pictures, the beds looked large, but in reality, they were more like 1.5-person beds. The room itself was decent, but upon arrival, we had concerns about the cleanliness. We asked the staff for a cleaner room. They asked us to wait, and given our initial disappointment with the room, the hotel decided to compensate us with an upgraded room. That's when the magic began, as we found ourselves in an apartment! It featured a beautiful living room, a large master bedroom, and another room with two separate beds. There were two bathrooms and three toilets. It was a very spacious and beautiful room; we can't even imagine how much it costs. This upgrade was arranged by a hotel staff member named Dafne. She was so concerned that we were upset and wanted to make our stay more enjoyable. She certainly succeeded, as the room was simply magnificent. Additionally, we were constantly asked if everything was alright and if we were satisfied. The hotel breakfasts were excellent, with everything you could need. Fresh vegetables, fruits, yogurts, omelets, meats – you definitely wouldn't leave hungry. They also served delicious coffee and many fresh juices. The hotel has a fantastic pool and water park; even at 40, you can still enjoy the slides! It was our daughter's birthday, and Dafne helped us order a cake and arrange a lovely presentation during breakfast. Of course, the hotel isn't new, but it has a great atmosphere, is cozy, and the staff tries their absolute best. We really appreciated the attention. First off, the check-in time was indeed quite long, but it's understandable given it was peak summer season. They even offered drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch! As an InterContinental member, I also received two complimentary drinks at the bar. The hotel's facilities are excellent. I went for a spa treatment while my child and husband went swimming – a perfect arrangement. As soon as I finished my spa, the butler notified me that our room key was ready! There was also a welcome fruit platter in the room. The room's view was absolutely unbeatable! We truly felt at home and enjoyed every moment. However, I actually found the breakfast to be even better than the dinner buffet. The oil-splashed noodles at breakfast were delicious 😋, and the chef who made them had such character, clearly demonstrating his passion for food. I really admire him! Thumbs up to him! 👍 For dinner, the seafood wasn't very fresh; the oysters and crab meat were quite loose. Plus, on the second night, we wanted to try the Southeast Asian restaurant, but upon arrival, many dishes were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing, so we left to eat elsewhere. Also, the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM. Overall, having stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago, returning now with my child, I still highly recommend it! The pool and beach are amazing, offering great privacy for guests! We will definitely be back 😊
