Stayed for four nights and it was a very comfortable hotel.

Transportation: It's very close to the train station, making travel around the area very convenient. It's also only a 15-minute ride to the Bund. The subway station is about two traffic lights away from the hotel (a 5-8 minute walk). One day, I took my child to Disneyland, and a taxi ride took 45 minutes.

Facilities: You can tell it's been renovated and upgraded. The smart toilet was convenient, and the hairdryer was a Laifen. The swimming pool was bright and comfortable; my child wanted to swim there every day during our stay.

Service: The service was warm and friendly. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, which always put me in a good mood when I returned; the concierge proactively helped with luggage and was very responsive with car services.

Suggestion: During peak breakfast hours, I recommend adding a seating service. Over the weekend, there was a corporate event, and the number of diners surged. It was hard to find a table, and the staff weren't very proactive in clearing tables. I suggest improving service awareness in this area.

Five-star review! Visited the architectural wonder of the world – the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland. My entire stay far exceeded expectations, with every detail meticulously handled. I have to give a special shout-out to my dedicated one-on-one butler, Alisa! We connected on WeChat, and she was incredibly responsive to every request. She even arranged a complimentary cake and desserts for our anniversary, and decorated the bed, showing such thoughtfulness and care. Coincidentally, she was the very butler my best friend recommended to me – talk about fate! I've already booked my next trip with her for next week, and she's helping me plan everything, even trying to save me some money, haha.

Upon arrival this time, I opted for a paid upgrade to the Garnet Executive Scenic Room. Honestly, the price did sting a bit, but the room's view was absolutely unparalleled. The balcony offers direct views of the quarry cliff face and a panoramic view of the waterfall. During the day, you can admire the texture of the mine pit rocks, and at night, without even leaving your room, you can enjoy the breathtaking 'Shan Hai Jing' themed cliffside light show. The viewing angle is superb, and the ambiance is incredible. Every photo I took looked amazing, perfectly showcasing the unique architectural beauty 88 meters below ground.

We chose InterContinental because our child wanted to attend a comic convention. We arrived around midnight on Thursday. We had booked a standard twin room for the first night and an open-plan suite for the second. The young lady who checked us in was polite, but her little 'schemes' were off-putting. She suggested we keep the standard twin room for the second night and retain the executive benefits of the suite, telling me that the open-plan suite only had a king bed. My husband asked her if she knew the price difference between the two room types, and she claimed not to. I immediately declined, telling her that a king bed was fine, and thanked her for her 'consideration.' The spaciousness of the open-plan suite compared to the standard twin room was enough for our family of three, and we could find other ways to sleep. How could she know that the open-plan suite came with executive benefits but not know the price difference between the two room types, especially during a convention? In the past, we've only ever been offered upgrades; this is the first time I've encountered someone suggesting a downgrade. All the other front desk staff who handled our room change and check-out later were very good, and the housekeeping lady on our floor was also great. The hotel breakfast was very good.

Great hotel with amazing friendly staff, this was my fifth hotel I booked in Shanghai during our long 3 weeks stay and it was the best location.  The management did everything possible to make our stay more comfortable and accommodate all of our needs.

This hotel truly exudes a unique charm that comes with a rich history. The gardens and buildings are stunning, and walking through the property feels like being transported to an English manor. Despite their age, the hotel's buildings are incredibly well-maintained and feature high-quality fittings and finishes. The InterContinental breakfast lives up to its reputation, offering a wide and delicious selection.

However, there were some drawbacks. Our room was in Building 2, which felt quite old. The corridors were very narrow, and some walls had a damp, musty look. The 'deluxe room' itself was actually quite small, and its interior decor felt a far cry from what you'd expect in a luxury hotel. The biggest issue was the bathroom light: the bedside control only offered two options – either all the room lights had to be on for the bathroom light to work, or if all the room lights were off, the bathroom light simply wouldn't turn on. This was incredibly frustrating, especially when needing to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and having to turn on all the room lights, disturbing my family's sleep.

Finally, regarding the service: while the hotel undeniably has character and historical significance, I found the staff at the front desk and the bar to be rather cold and lacking in warmth. Overall, it was a unique experience, but given the price point, I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few steps from the riverside promenade, perfect for cycling, jogging, or a leisurely stroll. Although the room facilities aren't the newest, they are well-maintained and convenient to use. I especially loved the double vanity in the bathroom. The room also offered a nice river view. The hotel's fitness center and pool were quite busy, and the 1188 restaurant on the ground floor was even more crowded for the evening buffet, which offered a decent variety of food and drinks. Outside the 1188 restaurant, there's an old villa district that used to be the Shanghai Alcohol Factory dormitory. It's now preserved and converted into an English-style pub, though I'm not sure if it's currently in operation.

Now for some areas that could be improved: The young lady with glasses at the front desk during check-in spoke in a very soft voice throughout, almost mumbling, and showed no enthusiasm. This was a stark contrast to my previous experiences with InterContinental hotels. I wonder if they treat business and non-business guests differently.

I booked a package deal that included a hotel stay with double breakfast and afternoon tea.

The pineapple juice with the afternoon tea was way too sweet for my liking, couldn't drink it all. 🤣
The mini cheesecake, however, was delicious! 🍰
Just remember, the afternoon tea is only valid for the first day of your stay.

I informed the hotel beforehand that we were celebrating my child's birthday.
Thank you for the birthday cake for my little one, it was both beautiful and tasty! 🎂 My husband and I ate more than half of it!

The room was also decorated with balloons and a birthday card. My child was absolutely thrilled! 🛫

The kids' playground is conveniently located on the first floor, section C. You just need your room card to swipe in. It's not a huge space but it's very clean and tidy. You can also see the outdoor pool from the playground.

Initially, my child said it was too hot to go outside, but when we walked into the indoor pool, it was completely empty! Everyone was having a blast outside, so we also grabbed various swim rings and headed out. The outdoor area has several pools of different depths, including an infinity pool – plenty to keep us entertained.

We arrived at the hotel around noon on the first day. After checking in, we went straight to the Chinese restaurant downstairs for lunch. After eating, what else could we do? Head straight to the pool, of course! We played until 6 PM when the outdoor pool closed; we really didn't want to leave! 🤣

It was a happy trip! 🥰 Overall, I'm very satisfied with the hotel. 👍

Last weekend I stayed at InterContinental Dubai Festival City with my family, where we had booked two rooms. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and the hotel’s location is excellent.  Especially its direct connection to Dubai Festival City Mall, which made dining and shopping very convenient.

However, the check-in process was quite disappointing. It took over two hours to receive our room keys, which was frustrating . Given that we had booked two rooms, it would have been reasonable to at least provide one room key while we wait for the other room. This delay suggested a lack of efficiency and experience at the front desk, which was unexpected for a hotel of this standard.

On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent, with a great variety and quality that we truly enjoyed. Aside from the check-in issue, the rest of our stay was very comfortable. The facilities, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all commendable.

This place is so convinience, the location in between dubai marina and jbr beach so you can go everywhere by walk. If u drive it’s easy to park and drive as well. The hotel is clean and the staff as well so friendly.

I recently stayed at intercontinental residence suit for four nights and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel is a bit far from major attractions and public transport, but if you rent a car (which you most probably would) it's not an issue.

The staff at were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, adding to the hassle-free experience.

The room was clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Amenities such as the flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, and complimentary Wi-Fi were much appreciated. However, the Wi-Fi was rather slow and there were no electrical outlets near the beds, so we had to ask the front desk for an extension cord, which they kindly provided.

One of the highlights was the hotel's on-site restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. The dinner menu was equally impressive, with high-quality dishes that showcased the chef's skill.

However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve.The bathroom was very spacious, but the toilet was very close to the wall. The bathtub had a huge margins which made getting in and out very difficult and dangerous, since there was no handle to hold. The shower also was so close to the wall which considering the huge margin of the tub and the slope of the tub made taking a shower an unpleasant experience.

The hotel's common areas, including the lobby and pool, were well-maintained and inviting. The pool area, in particular, was a great place to relax, though it did get quite crowded at times.

In summary, intercontinental residence suit offers a solid 4-star experience with excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location. With a few minor improvements, it has the potential to be outstanding. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to the city.

This time, I stayed with my family and young child, and the overall experience was perfect. It was a truly comfortable and pleasant travel accommodation. The hotel's overall quality is exceptional, with comprehensive and well-maintained facilities. The rooms are clean and tidy, with new and perfectly functioning amenities. The public areas are also neat and orderly, meticulously cared for. You can tell the hotel puts a lot of effort into its daily upkeep, resulting in an extremely high level of comfort.

What truly warmed our entire family was Hesper, the housekeeper from Guest Relations – she deserves a special mention! Hesper is gentle and kind-hearted, genuinely caring and attentive. Her service is detailed and thoughtful, making us feel incredibly welcomed throughout our stay. From check-in, she was proactive, consistently asking about our needs and patiently helping us resolve any issues immediately. She expertly handled many small matters during our stay, proving to be incredibly reliable.

Every day of our stay, Hesper would greet us warmly, showing incredible attention to detail. She was especially gentle, patient, and friendly with our child, actively looking after their needs, which allowed our little one to feel relaxed and happy, having a wonderful time. Thanks to her meticulous and heartwarming service, our family's trip was even more relaxed and enjoyable, with no worries at all. The living experience far exceeded our expectations. Both the soft and hard facilities are impeccable; the environment is comfortable, the service is heartwarming, and the value for money is outstanding. This stay was truly wonderful, and I've already silently bookmarked this hotel. The next time I travel here, I will definitely choose this hotel first, and I sincerely recommend it to all fellow travelers!

The ultimate family-friendly vacation spot, a perfect experience worth revisiting! Choosing this InterContinental in Dameisha was definitely a hit, from check-in to check-out, it was a smooth and comfortable stay!

**Room: Full of childish fun, thoughtful details!**
A huge thank you to the front desk staff for the complimentary upgrade to the Ocean Adventure Family Twin Room. The entire room was decorated with ocean-themed cartoons; the bedsheets, throw pillows, and wall decals all featured adorable sharks and jellyfish. My child shrieked with joy the moment they entered. The bathroom came with a cartoon bathtub and even had kids' water toys. The interactive floor projection created an amazing ambiance, and my child spent ages playing barefoot in the light and shadows. There was also an interactive 'treasure hunt' projection on the desk, which kept my child quietly entertained, finally allowing us parents to catch a break. Kids' toiletries, small slippers, and bathrobes were all provided, with every detail thoughtfully catering to children. 🧸

**Indoor Kids' Playground: Rich variety of activities!**
The hotel's indoor playground is super spacious. The ball pit and giant building block area were clean and tidy, and there were special craft classes daily! We caught the Little Chef DIY activity, where staff patiently guided the children in making food, even providing them with exclusive chef hats and aprons – the sense of ceremony was amazing. In the lobby, there were also clown interactive performances and giant inflatable shark mascot parades. The clown did fancy ball tricks and gave out balloons, and my child chased the mascot around. The atmosphere was incredibly vibrant, keeping us entertained throughout.

**Outdoor Sea View & Water Activities: Absolutely stunning!**
The guest room balcony directly faces the entire Dameisha sea area, with distant views of mountains, sea, and small islands. Downstairs, the tiered pools and water slides lead directly to the beach, and the surrounding palm trees make for fantastic photo opportunities! Out at sea, there was an exciting flyboarding show, with high-flying water stunts that were both thrilling and beautiful – watching the show by the sea breeze was so therapeutic. The private beach wasn't too crowded, making it very pleasant for swimming and walking. The pool had different depths, so both adults and children could enjoy it safely. ✨

**Service and Amenities: Top marks 💯**
The staff were gentle and polite throughout our stay. Whether it was guidance in the playground or room service, responses were super quick. The hotel's amenities are comprehensive, with family activities rotating daily, so there's no need to go out looking for things to do with the kids. The hotel facilities are very well maintained; both public areas and guest rooms were clean and odorless. The air conditioning was powerful, and the soundproofing was effective, allowing us to rest with our child undisturbed.

This is the top choice for a one-stop family vacation, with food, lodging, and entertainment all-inclusive, no need for strenuous travel. The sea view, family facilities, and service are all excellent. It's perfect for both short weekend getaways with kids or a relaxing family trip. It's already on my list for a second visit, highly recommended for families with children!

The room itself was easily a 90 out of 100, though both pillows were quite soft, making them a little uncomfortable. It would be perfect if one of them offered more support. 

From the moment I arrived until I checked out, I was looked after by a dedicated guest service agent. Her genuine smile, sincere care, and attentive service truly stood out. I sincerely appreciate having such wonderful staff – a big thumbs up! Her name was Linda.

During my stay, there was an unfortunate incident: I slipped in the changing room by the swimming pool, scraping and bleeding. Thankfully, the staff quickly came to my aid and handled everything. My wound still hasn't healed completely, and I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to any future guests.

Your hotel really needs to address the slippery floor in that changing room. Please ensure the anti-slip mats cover the entire area without any gaps, so guests don't slip on the uncovered smooth tiles. More 'wet floor' warning signs should also be prominently displayed.
