"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

"This hotel is super close to the Colorful Danxia West Gate, only 600 meters away, and it's just a 3-minute drive to the scenic area. It saved us the hassle of rushing early in the morning! The room was spotless, and the smart devices were really convenient to use. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, even recommending the best time for us to view the scenery. Our stay was definitely a five-star experience. This is absolutely the top choice if you're visiting Zhangye to see Danxia!"

"the owner was so friendly and helpful. they brought us to the entrqnce personally. i only found out that there were two main entrances when i arrived. The North and West entrance. I ended up staying at the West entrance. Not much activities at night. The North was a lot more shops and restaurants around the area. One thing I like was the quietness and the hospitality shown by the owner. They provide a lot of water and a fruit platter too. We walked to the entrance the next morning. Only took about 15 min. Problem is the shuttle busses were not so frequent in the morning session from the West gate. One point to consider. Other than that, this place is superb for less noise. Thank you."

"Facilities: Very complete. The hairdryer works great, drying my hair quickly. Disposable bath towels, slippers, and even toilet seat covers were provided. It's only a 700-meter walk to the Colorful Danxia scenic area. Hygiene: Very clean, no strange odors, and everything was tidied up perfectly. Environment: The surrounding area is decent, but the hotel's interior environment is truly amazing! Service: We almost missed our trip to the scenic area, but the owner personally drove us there – so incredibly welcoming. The next day, he even drove us to Kangle Grassland. Overall, I highly recommend staying here! The price is right, the environment is good, and the service is excellent."

From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable. The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels. The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice."

"This stay at this hotel truly captivated me! Upon arrival, I was captivated by its grand and sophisticated exterior. The lobby is both grand and welcoming, with a unique ceiling, eye-catching gold coin stones, and a guide map. The staff were incredibly professional, smiling, and helpful with luggage. The owner provided shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station, and parking was convenient. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with excellent soundproofing, ensuring a sound sleep. It's a great value. I'll stay here again and recommend it to my friends!"

"Let me talk about hygiene first, very good. All disposable bath towels and face towels are given. The quilt is super soft, plus quiet, and sleeps well. Besides, the boss is very good and Lele is happy. I thought it was dry here, and I wanted to borrow a humidifier with the boss. The boss didn't have it. But I actually borrowed a brand new one for us, thank you very much, there was no nosebleed at all. I hope the boss's business is booming"
