Tell your family this hotel used to be a prison and turn its greatest weakness into something exciting and fun! Don’t let the overexposed marketing photos fool you; this ain’t no bright oasis of light. Late 20th century modernist architecture with a heavy reliance on brick makes the lobby area seem inspired by a 90s high school whilst the absurdly long corridors leading to the rooms make you feel like a prisoner walking to their cell. For all I know this place could be part hotel, part prison because there are basketball courts surrounded by very high fences outside. The room is bunker-like given the large concrete balcony on the floor above taking away much of the light, yet spacious. Good beds. As a prison I would rate this 9/10. Nice staff and cleanliness brings it from 2 to 3/5 as a hotel.
