Wildwood Snowmass

Place was overall not very clean. Definitely not what you would expect from a "resort". Even though I pre paid online i still had to pay 100 at check in and another 25 at check out. Also got a parking citation (just a warning) even though i was in one of the lots i was told i could park in because i wasnt given a hang tag. The bed was comfortable but the walls were VERY thin so i could hear every conversation and footstep around me which made it super hard to sleep. The main light in the room didnt work and they dont have anyway to cool the room down except for opening the window so it gets very hot very quick. Besideds that it was nice to be so close to the ski slope and the mall

No one at check in desk. Called number given in a piece of paper to the view line and no one answered. Tried 3 times. Walked with all luggage to viewline only to walk back and have to check in back at wildwood. I am a Bonvoy member, have started at both properties, and now will never come back. 0 hospitality!

Location location location is the value here. The property and my room were fine (despite all the terrible reviews) unless you’re seeking the bougie Aspen experience. This is a budget hotel by Aspen standards - and you get budget lodging. A room with some dated furniture, an adequate bed, a hot shower, and a TV. But - it’s probably a 100 yard walk to the slopes where it’s a short easy ski down to the Village Express chair. Snowmass Mall is equally close, as was parking. This is the best ski-in ski-out value you’ll find in Aspen. I’ll be back.

We booked online and paid $550.00 for two rooms for one night. At $275.00 a night, in Snowmass, it never occurred to us that it would resemble a Motel 6. The carpets smelled, there was no air conditioning (you couldn't even open the windows for air, because there were no screens on the windows), there were ants in the sink and a dead bug in the bathroom. After taking two elevators and walking around the hallways to our room with luggage at 10:00 pm, we had to reverse our steps to walk a block to their "sister" hotel in order to speak with someone. They was no one at the front desk at our hotel, and their sister hotel did not answer the phone. The sister hotel, The Viewline, was a beautiful hotel and more along the lines of what we thought we were getting. Fortunately, they gave us two rooms at this hotel as there was no way we were sleeping in that disgusting room at the Snowmass Inn. How do they charge $275 for terrible room, and $179 a night at the Viewline? I sent an email to the Snowmass Inn after our stay and have yet to hear back from them. While I am happy they resolved the issue, it was terribly inconvenient and at the end of the day, we spent almost $100 more per room than we would have had we booked at the Viewline. We never imagined that a hotel in Snowmass Village would be so substandard.

Coffee pods didn’t fit into the coffee maker-wrong size/brand Toilet paper holder broken Room decor from the 1970’s and that’s probably the last time it was vacuumed No cups in the room Minimal towels No towels at the hot tub Hot tub was warm not hot so gross and unclean Chairs are wobbly Room next door has a loud noise that sounds like a compressor vibrating or exploding, this happens every hour or so If we had known we were staying in a cut rate hostel we wouldn’t have paid what we paid and would have chosen to stay elsewhere The checkin process was very bad, there was no one at the hotel we had to go to the hotel next door where they then walk back to the slums to do the check in,

It was dirty and run down. No dollys to bring luggage upstairs. Buttons on the elevator did not work. No AC and no opening windows. When you leave the door open at night for air, there is a restaurant downstairs and it is very loud until about 2am. Then the loading dock is downstairs as well, so trucks begin coming at 6am. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful. But the hotel itself was horrible. We could not sleep all night and cut our stay short.

One hot tub was closed. Handles fell off shower, room was dated and things falling apart. Our first room had the exterior lock broken off so we had to go back to check in and wait 15 min for new room. Wait staff was friendly
