Hotels near Sinheungsa Temple, Sokcho-si

Everything was clean and the staff was so polite. They didn’t rush me out of the room. The photos match the actual room so I was happy about that. The pool and views were amazing. Thank you so much. Will come again. I also loved the location as it’s easy for travelers without cars. I didn’t get a chance to have breakfast as I woke up late but hopefully next time 😊

Excellent price/quality option. Lots of space for things, washing machine, electric stove, large refrigerator with freezer, excellent shower room, Cons: There are only two mugs available. The hotel does not have an ironing board or iron.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was also friendly ^^ It was close to Sokcho Market so I could walk. However, it was a little confusing at first because it was inside Sokcho city and the road was narrow.^^ It was far from the beach^^ The lake view was also very pretty! Breakfast was mediocre to my standards, but the bread was delicious^^ I recommend it if you like being close to the market^^ Lake view from room is attached♡

It was very lovely designed room. The pink room was looking almost same in picture and the room temperature was very warm from the enterance. The room was clean overall but there was a cockroach appeared during our stay. The amenities was reasonable and not a bad quality. The breakfast was better than our expectation and reasonable price too. Big recommend:)

I stayed outthere for one night. The location is perfect for us to take a walk along seaside and gain quick access to seafood restaurants also with 30min driving distance to Shokcho Central Market. Room is clean and they offered room upgrade for free as well. I’m willing to revist there next time.

After looking at the room photos, I paid a high rate for Saturday and Sunday weekend accommodations and visited, but I was disappointed because it was actually a bit cramped. In particular, the living room was stuffy because it was full of sofa tables and dining furniture, and the bedroom had an additional mattress and blanket in the futon cabinet, but the area to lie down on the floor was small, so my husband and 5-year-old son slept in a double bed. I fell asleep listening to the sound of the waves with the veranda door open, but next time I visit, I think I'll be satisfied if I stay at the weekday rate. It would have felt less stuffy and narrow if there was an open wall between the living room and the bedroom, but after sleeping for one night, the bedroom felt quite cozy.

As the title suggests, it was the best resort in the East Coast area, which was the best resort in the East Coast. The resort is now a bit old, and the water park is small, so it is a bit shabby compared to Soccio Hanhua Condon or Dae Myung Ocean World. The only advantage is that there is a private beach, but the water is relatively cold, and it is only a month or two in summer. As a person who visited almost every year, every season, 5 or 6 years ago, I wonder how we will improve in the future ...

We stayed at the Gold Suite Ulsanbawi Rock View! The weather was so nice, so it was so nice to see Ulsanbawi Rock clearly. If you want to get a place with a view, it's better to arrive before 12 o'clock and wait. I checked in at 3 o'clock, so I was only assigned a room at 12 o'clock, and some of my luggage was not cleaned, but they put it in the accommodation in advance and allowed me to go somewhere else. The bathtub was the best. The accommodation bed and tableware are so well equipped that it is a good accommodation for family trips. My parents were also very satisfied.

We (2 people) booked a superior suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an incredible view on the sea. It’s the perfect place to stay to recover from a very nasty jet lag. We slept very well, enjoying each of us our own bed and room. Maybe it was the best view I ever had lying on my bed. The hotel is huge and comes with many amenities, which are well described on the website. In October the water park is closed and the hotel is pretty quiet, which is exactly what I was expecting. I personally would not come here during busy Summer holidays. The staff is very friendly and speaks enough English for helping you to book a taxi. I was happy to be told that they don’t charge any longer a deposit on your credit card, which takes then weeks to be cleared out. Instead they charge the total amount due for your stay at check-in, which I find more convenient. From the hotel (located on a hill), you can walk (along the sea) either on the left to the long sand beach, or to the right to the port, where you will find many seafood restaurants. We ate one evening at one of the hotel restaurants (Natural Soul Kitchen). The food was delicious, refreshing and healthy. To reach the hotel, we took the bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal (Gyeonbu Yeongdong Line, next to Gangnam area). It takes around 2.5 hours. The bus departing from this terminal arrives at Sokcho EXPRESS Bus Terminal, which is close to Sokcho beach and closer to the Lotte resort. Be aware that there are 2 bus terminals in Seoul from where you can reach Sokcho. At Sokcho, there is another bus terminal further north (Sokcho INTERCITY Bus Terminal). Make sure that you depart from the same terminal where you arrived if you have return tickets. We didn’t manage to buy the bus tickets online. Apparently you need a credit card issued in SKorea to be able to process the payment. So we had to go directly to the bus terminal to buy our tickets. If you want premium seats buy them several days in advance. Even if your main interest is hiking in Seoraksan National Park, I think this hotel is the perfect « base camp », as in the morning you will wake up with this beautiful sea view and at night you will fall asleep with the sound of lapping waves. I will come back for sure. The hotel, the sea, the mountains,... I didn't expect to feel so well and so energized there.

原來酒店是最新開的，還沒有準備好英文通告還有房間內設施。還好有職員懂得一點英文。酒店服務員只到晚上12點。另外我住的房間還沒有電話可以聯絡前台，比較麻煩。床單質感有粗糙，有點不太舒服。主要是因為全新酒店味道還很大，塵埃很多帶着小朋友有點不太好。之後去應該會比較好。 值得一提的是天台非常漂亮！ 自駕遊算方便。
