Always get a warm welcome at Redwings. The staff are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants and on the main bus route into Birmingham city. Perfect for a short stay at reasonable prices.

I used this hotel for 2 days business during the B2022 Commonwealth Games. Ideally located as I was flying in and out. Very good transport links although shuttle bus was not running for duration of Games. It will start up again once Games are over. Quick, efficient check-in. Very spacious executive room on 3rd floor, spotlessly clean and well stocked with coffee and water. Good shower and bath which again were spotlessly clean. Air conditioning worked really well and maintained a great temp. The breakfast is good. I have stayed in many hotels around airports and this airy seating space along with a fresh and wide ranging choice of breakfast food and drinks is right up there. Staff were all attentive and very professional. This is the first time I have stayed here but was very impressed and would not hesitate to return.

We'd booked this hotel through a website, but probably could have got a better deal if we'd gone to Ibis direct. The beauty of the hotel is that you are 2 minutes from Departures at Birmingham Airport. When you've got an early morning flight this is a definite benefit, just to get a little extra sleep before you travel. The room itself was a good size. Plenty of space for us and our two large cases. Room and bathroom were clean as well. Even better, no noise from other rooms came through (OK you will get selfish people making noise down corridors on occasion - not much can be done about that I'm afraid). Went to the bar to have a drink which was fine. There is a place to eat, but we'd eaten before leaving home. Check in and check out was really quick as well.

Hotel location is good, but no Novotel is close to the airport. Novotel is walking at the door of the airport glass door for a minute. This hotel is to take the airport light rail for three minutes, then get off the train for ten minutes to walk through the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is about five minutes walk. Remember that the hotel entrance is at the pizza shop. After entering the door, the elevator is on the second floor. It is the lobby, don't go wrong or circle. The breakfast is very suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the variety is very rich. I live here because I want to participate in the cake show every November. The picture is that it is convenient to go to the exhibition hall without going too far, otherwise the mobile phone is tired. Actually, it is also very tired, stop and go all the way. The hotel is actually a Shanghai-like Heshenghui, a big shopping mall. The hotel reception is in the corner of the second floor of the shopping mall. The guest room is inside the corner building built outside the main building. I feel that the floor of the guest room is built instead of cement, but the quality is very good. . There are not many stores in the mall, the British consumption is not high in the country, and there is a little bit of Colombia in the north. It feels high consumption. There are very few other shops. There is a coffee shop costa in the mall. You can buy a sandwich clerk to help you heat up. The huge sandwich is delicious. There is a specialty store in the Swiss Lotus chocolate, and it is more cost-effective to sell chocolate. Finally, the check-out of this hotel is not to check the room, the room card can go directly to the front desk.

Perfect base for a one night stop over before an early flight the next day. The food was lovely in the bar and reasonably priced. Walking distance to the airport and car park so location is perfect too! We used the monorail to go to the NEC/resorts world arena area which has shops,cinema,bars and restaurants. Great if you have a bit of time there as the hotel room is tiny but has everything you need.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean but had dust in certain parts of the lighting and table. The bathroom didn’t smell to good when we got there. There wasn’t much soap to wash your hands. Unfortunately at night time the people next door were loud and at times the door was shutting it would wake you up. The tv remote wasn’t working properly.

I cant thank the staff enough from check in to check out the service was excellent. The ladies on check in were very efficient and helped with car park charges.
The staff were accommodating to provide extra toilet roll finished in room and nothing was an inconvenience for the staff.
I will most likely visit again.

Room was clean and tidy, good value for the money. A good variety of TV channels and free WiFi, you can purchase films at £3.50 each but the selection could be bigger, and in this day and age I think £3.50 to watch a film is a but steep. Was surprise I had to pay for parking when I arrived at the hotel, a token should be given to guests for free parking. I could of driven straight out of the parking area as the barriers were not working, which the hotel knew about but still wanted me to pay the £6.50 for our overnight stay. Hotel reception, bar and restuarant was nice and modern but we only had one drink in the bar due to the prices, Pint of Heineken and half a coke was just under £8, so being just a 5 min walk into the town centre and 2 local pubs just a minutes walk away, we decided to eat out and drink out, saving ourselves a lot of cash. I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but the prices for food were just too high for a hotel restuarant, and nothing on the limited menu that my 13 year old daughter liked. This is a large hotel, so I think it would be good for management to extend there food menu for family's and at reasonable prices, even if it's just the bar menu. Opposite the hotel there are numerous outlets, restaurants, take away pizza, kebabs etc. Hotel is in a great locations. If you like playing pool, there is a Rielys pool bar 100yards from the hotel. Would I stay again? Yes I would, staff were friendly, hotel was clean, had a good night sleep, bed was comfy, shower worked fine, large TV, great location, local shops outside, walking distance into town, my only issue really, was that we had to pay for parking at the hotel, to stay at the hotel, I personally don't think that's ok.

GGuest UserI booked a stay for one date then had to move the date due my one colleague being in the military and we eventually stayed for what we thought at the time was a pleasurable evening with this hotel on the 2nd September 2022. I felt I did call in plenty of time to move the first booking and just wanted to flag this up with them. They have now charged me for two stays and accused me of not moving the booking and not turning up. I earn a low salary due to my current job and there would be no way we would want to pay for two stays when we only wanted one night. They appear to not be concerned with my story and are refusing to refund the first booking As they have no proof it was moved on the phone by me. I did not receive an email confirming the move in dates and assumed all was well from the telephone conversation . Be aware this could and will happen to you if you need to change your room booking . They might charge you for two stays. I can barely afford this at present especially with rising prices in fuel costs. I will not be returning to this hotel group because they have ripped me off. What turned out as a smashing hotel stay has now turned into a really bad negative memory. It was not a corporate booking and every penny counts for me at this time and we are being treated as if the money means nothing , that we have been charged for two stays , for them appears normal. Even if it is wrong . Just to confirm we paid and stayed for the £205.12 Booking for one night , but were not at the hotel for the other fee they have charged which is £286 Again beware of these big hotel groups who are happy to take your money and if a mistake is made on their part, are very hard to get back a fee that they should not have taken .

GGuest UserKay, Joe, Majid, Mukesh, Joe and Adam- wow! Simply outstanding We are staying this weekend as we celebrate a 100th birthday party locally. Mum is also recovering from cancer and chose this hotel for all of us to stay at. We couldn't have had a warmer reception and the service has been second to none. Majid went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect. We would highly recommend!
