We arrived on the 26th June. First nights evening meal was really dissapointing,restraunts opened at 7pm, Ordered sea bass,at 8pm to be told sea bass had finished. Was served sea bream in what looked like two McDonald’s chicken nuggets instead,tasteless. Thursday nights gala dinner was also dissapointing. Friday evenings meal again poor. We complained to the deputy head waiter,she asked us not to complain to reception or the hotel manager as the kitchen staff were her friends. We duly took our complaint to the reception,the girls on reception were excellent, they informed us there had been lots of complaints over the food. The next night our fourth, the food was suddenly much better,we were informed there had been a meeting of all the kitchen and waiting staff. The hotel is rated as a five star,the improvement in food took it to four star From a poor three. Food remained for the rest of our stay at an improvement,but not five star. Such a shame,the hotel is in a great location, the bedroom was excellent,one of the best beds we have ever had,spotlessly clean,good sized balcony. Pool area is superb,comfortable loungers. Hotel acknowledges they have a labour problem,with high turnover of staff. Head waiter left while we were there. Deputy head waiter seems to be a big problem,four Austrian girls were working there on work experience,really friendly and efficient,yet she was always picking on them. Wonderful hotel,but does not warrant five star rating due to its food. ,
