Sorrento Hotels with Gym

The Hotel Continental was the perfect hotel for our Sorrento-based portion of our vacation. Every single staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the concierge, to the breakfast staff, was kind, considerate, and pleasant. One of the gentlemen who works the breakfast was always singing and whistling, which always brought a smile to my face. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of options. I am gluten-free and dairy free, and they had plenty for me to eat. They had at least five different kinds of milk (regular, soy, almond, rice, etc…) and had a basket of assorted gluten-free muffins and bread. We booked an inside room with a hotel view, and I was nervous about what the room would be like. It was perfect! It was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Surprisingly, our room had a balcony, but it overlooked other hotel balconies. No problem since we were rarely in our room. The hotel is adjacent to a park which has an amazing view of the sunset. We did have cocktails on the rooftop bar one night, but they were a bit pricy compared to the area restaurants, so we only did that one night. The hotel is also within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and the steps to get to the marina, and you could walk to the train station if needed.

We just checked into the hotel with 2 king rooms (since we are traveling with our children and need the extra space). We are Diamond members and have had the pleasure to visit many Hiltons across the United States, Mexico, India, and now Italy, but we found this property to not be of Hilton Standards. The rooms are very outdated. The property itself looks quite tired and needs to be renovated. It looks like a 1980’s hotel without the charm. The lobby is pretty, and for the price we paid we were looking forward to spending 2 nights here. However, after seeing the rooms, bathrooms, and the property itself I feel that there have to be better options. The rooms are a 2 star at best because the bathrooms, tiles and room furniture looked very worn and old. The in room safe is so small and is oddly connected to the refrigerator. The outside door locks with a key. We are here celebrating our daughter’s 19th birthday, and to say that we are disappointed is an understatement.

What a sweet and unusual hotel in a busy little tourist city! From the staff that get to know your name on the first day, to helping with extra needs, we had the best customer care while at the Grand Hotel La Favorita. It's location is ideal, close to great dining and shopping and don't miss their sister restaurant a few blocks away! It's a hidden gem on the main walking/shopping street. It's like a magical garden with fantastic food and more great service. We did talk to a few others who said they get very crowded so dining earlier guarantees better service. Lastly, do'nt miss the rooftop bar with a beautiful sunset!

Sorrento's best hotel by a long chalk rejoices in a great position above Marina Piccola. We come back every year, and can honestly say that this is our favourite hotel for its outstanding staff, atmosphere and ambiance. The super efficient staff are always pleased to welcome us. We always look forward to drinks on the terrace in the evening and enjoying the outstanding views. One of our best meals was at the hotel's Terrazza Bosquet , where the service competed with the food for all round excellence. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Apart from this being a beautiful hotel in an ideal location, the experience is made exceptional by the amazing front of house team. Especially their enthusiasm to ensure we had a great time, and we did! Thank you all for helping us to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Special mention for Sofia, Vanessa, Eduardo, Francesco and Guiseppe. Hope to see you again soon. One constructive suggestion for management is to add an alternative, casual, dining option for the evenings.

The environment is very good, just on the cliff by the sea, the sea view of the Mediterranean Sea is in the bottom of the eye, the hotel breakfast is also very good, although it is not very suitable for the Chinese stomach, but it is quite rich, the restaurant view is also great, get up early in the hotel to have a breakfast, the mood is very good . The hotel has a private beach, but it is not a beach of sand. It is rock. It can directly reach the beach by elevator or down the tunnel and swim directly in the sea. If you don't want to swim in the sea, you can swim in the hotel pool, which is very suitable for vacation. The fly in the ointment, the room always has a taste. When driving the car, because the navigation problem is always open to the hotel, in fact, the hotel to the Sorrento Central Station is also 7 minutes walk, location, landscape, matching, are unparalleled.

We chose well coming to this lovely hotel just on the outskirts of Sorrento. We will be sorry to go home tomorrow but unfortunately all good things must come to an end !!! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff here are fantastic with special mentions for the waiting staff in the dining room, particularly “ Gaetano, Pavel, Roberto and Antonio “. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we came across. The hotel has an excellent shuttle service linking the hotel with the centre of Sorrento that operates from 9am up to 11pm and runs about 10-12 round trips. (I would not recommend trying to walk between the hotel and town, it’s a long way and is dangerous as there are no pavements in parts. ) On one occasion there were too many guests wanting to return from town to the hotel, and the driver made a 2nd run and came back again to pick the rest of us up !!! I would recommend a sea view room as the views over the bay of Naples are great. The hotel has a lovely pool which is surrounded by sun beds which are usually available as guests aren’t allowed to lay towels out to reserve them. By the pool there is a nice snack bar with reasonable prices, eg €4.50 for a beer or €6 for a cheese and Ham Toastie. Breakfast has everything you could want, Cereals, Fruit, pastries and cooked foods etc. If you want for example eggs done a different way just ask a waiter and they’ll do it for you. Evening meals were equally good with a varied selection of fish, meats, pasta, salad and vegetable, not to mention great desserts !!! Our room was a double king size bed with a shower in the bath room, but no bath as such. We have really enjoyed our stay and hope to return !!!

We loved this hotel and location a lot. Our first trip to Sorrento and my partner proposed on a private boat trip in Amalfi so the hotel holds a special place in our hearts. It’s peaceful, the staff are wonderful, food and drinks are very good. Views over the water to Naples are beautiful especially during sunset. The room was gorgeous. The beach bar and loungers by the sea were so peaceful with more lovely views over to the port. Big comfy loungers, massive pool, great service there. We would love to come back next year. We booked a pick up from Naples airport to the hotel via reception for easiness and it was great and quicker than expected. Our room was ready early. The only tiny tiny thing I’d say is a welcome drink would be fab especially for a 5 star hotel, and water topped up more regularly in the rooms but I won’t knock down a star for my thoughts ❤️

The Good Friendly helpful staff and a warm welcome. Exceptionally clean Beautiful stunning views from the restaurant and the rooms across the bay of Naples Easy walk downhill (15 minutes) into the centre of town. (But beware - a taxi ride from the grand harbour is €25. And €20 from town) Private hotel access down to the small fishing harbour via hotel. The Ok Friendly service at breakfast. Good coffee. Nice fresh fruit. Nothing exceptional - would have been nice to have had some different beautiful Italian breads other than same little rolls and sliced (sweet) toasting bread every day. Also a change in the hot Buffett - mushrooms, quality sausages (not hot dogs) roasted Italian tomatoes. The bacon was often undercooked. Omelettes and fried eggs are available on request. We had dinner the first night and didn’t repeat the experience. We are well used to Michelin star dining and appreciate great Italian food. We didn’t find either here. There were lots of staff milling around who didn’t seem to know what they were doing ( they may have been new staff being trained). Lots of whispering going on and we felt uncomfortable. The food was presented well - small portions on big plates and we filled up with bread - we were hungry! Our room had a most amazing picture window and a comfy bed. It was fairly spacious and very clean. There was no comfort to be found in the room however and on the rainy days when we would have liked to retire to our room and read we would have had to lie in our bed. Not good. All the furniture in the hotel looks good but it is hard and angular. This is not a comfortable hotel. Even in the bar area the design is for aesthetics rather than comfort. One early (rainy) evening we attempted to order a bar meal but were told we could only have a snack as the chef was preparing dinner and was busy. The bartender said he could ask the chef if we wanted. We would have gone back to our room and ordered room service from a limited menu but there was nowhere to have eaten any food that might have been delivered. Therefore we went back into town. On the one and only sunny afternoon we decided to go to the beautiful swimming pool Tge water was too cold to swim in - nice at the height of summer but not the end of May. The beds were uncomfortable. Staff bought another couple who were sunbathing food and drink but never came to ask us if we’d like a drink. Very odd. So in summary - some really lovely points but overall we were disappointed. This is no way a 5 star hotel and we would not return or recommend.
