Comfort Hotel Gardenia Sorrento Coast

It is hard to know where to stay in Sorrento with such a choice of accommodation but we were very pleased with the Hotel Gardenia. Very friendly staff and I would suggest going for the superior double rooms with a sea view at the back and on one of the higher floors if possible. Use of a good sized pool and bar and a bigger balcony than expected. Good for visiting different parts of Sorrento.

Stayed here for 5 nights in September 2024. We stayed in room # 209 which is a superior room with balcony and sea view. I will break the report down under the areas that mattered most to us. Location: Located on the busy Corsa Italia, a 10 minute walk from bus and train station and a 15 minute walk from Piazza Tasso. Although a busy road you hear no noise inside the hotel. Check in / Out: Nice and smooth. The hotel actually rang me on the morning we were due to arrive to find out our arrival time so that they could ensure our room was ready. Overall, all hotel staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. Room: Good size with a large balcony overlooking the pool. The air con worked well and room was very clean. Bathroom was a good size although shower was a bit on the small size. Breakfast: Excellent choice and service. The hotel also offers a "happy hour" in the evenings with discounted drinks and free snacks. Pool: The pool is actually shared with the hotel next store. However, it was never particularly busy and plenty of free loungers. There is a poolside bar that serves food. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily stay here again.

Gardenia hotel gives itself 3 or 4 stars. For a 3 or 4 stars hotel, I give 5 points here on TA. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful. I stayed there 5 nights with my family of four in a family room. We were offered welcome drinks on arrival. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very nice, with several options of fresh fruits, juices, cakes, breads, delicious pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, and so on. Could we say it is something like a full “continental breakfast”? At least very close to it. The waiters, always very well educated and friendly, will bring you hot beverages as you wish (milk, coffee, cappuccino, and so on…) . We were on the 3rd floor, facing the street. Some small noise from buses or trucks could be heard, nothing serious, and not during the night. The glass doors to the balcony will do a great job of noise protection. The view from the balcony was not excellent, facing the street, but it doesn’t matter, we were not there to sit in the balcony of any hotel. We were there for tourism, we didn’t spend time in the hotel during the day. Only for sleeping. Next time I might ask for the same room on the 3rd floor. Parking lot is very convenient if you have a car. EUR20/day. Location is very good, close to good restaurants and like 10 minutes walking from Piazza Tasso and the “old town”, which has several alleys to be explored and is definitely worth a visit, especially at night. Of course there are better hotels in Sorrento. At higher prices of course. But if you’re looking for a nice and clean place to stay, excellent breakfast, be very well treated, good location, this is probably the best option or at least one of the best options in Sorrento. If one day I come back to Sorrento, I will definitely try to book a room again with Gardenia Hotel. To all their staff, thank you for being part of our remarkable and amazing visit to Italy.

We stayed at the Hotel Gardenia in August 2024…lovely family run hotel in great location in Sorrento, the hotel is very clean, has all the amenities you wanted for a great holiday. Rooms were pleasant, spacious and well equipped, we had a large balcony too) Good breakfast to start your day, it caters for all and the service was great. Also a well stocked bar for evening drinks. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels left each day. The staff were always happy to help and nothing was too much when asked, whether that was at breakfast, reception or poolside. Towels were also available for use at the swimming pool. Would definitely recommend Hotel Gardenia and look forward to come back in the future.

Such a lovely hotel. Staff friendly and accommodating, lady on the bar made amazing Limoncello Spritz and free bar nibbles every night!. The hotel was spotless, and our room was great, nice balcony and overlooked the pool. Plenty to choose from at breakfast, fresh homemade lemonade is a must try. Would pick again

The hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Sorrento and easy walking to the centre. Tony and all his team are so friendly and helpful and we had a great stay celebrating a big birthday and 40 years married 😁😁 and this was extremely well recognised by the team at hotel gardenia 😁😁 Everything you need for breakfast and great breakfast team. The cleanliness is immaculate and very discreet to not disturb We would definitely stop here again when we return to Sorrento👍👍
