Guest UserI love this hotel nestled in the heart of Old MontrĂ©al and Old Port. I had a great room with a wonderful corner view of Old MontrĂ©al, itâs rooftops, the Grande Roue and the little cafes and boutiques below. Room is very comfortable. I love the long modern working desk, the comfy lounge chair, plush bedding and above all the spa multi jet shower⊠Because of pandemic restrictions most of the amenities of the hotel were not accessible. The hotel has such a nice lounge and bar area but I couldnât go there. The gym was also off limits. There is an outdoor courtyard that was advertised as open even in the winter with fire pits but it wasnât accessible during my stay.
My only complaint would be that my room was drafty but I also stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year and I could adjust the heat in the room. I asked for a throw blanket to cuddle in while reading in the lounge chair. They brought me the cuddliest faux fur blanket, I was almost thankful for the draft. Canât wait for my next opportunity to stay here.
In my opinion, this hotel is more geared towards adults (solo/business/couples/adult getaways) rather than families with young children. It has a high-end, modern, chic vibe. However, Iâm quite sure they would accommodate children too.
Photos donât do the view justice. They were taken during a snow storm with poor visibility. Under normal conditions, was really nice and at night, so beautiful with all the lights and illuminated Grande Roue.

The windows in the room are made up of small pieces, the design is a bit strange, there is no view at all, and there is insufficient daylight. The water pipe switch of the toilet wash basin is very inconvenient, and water will flow from the cracks to the ground after washing hands. The electric induction toilet toilet seat is a bit annoying. Shower room is worthy of praise, the shower is very comfortable and the bed is very comfortable. Overall, such a package is still far away from a 5-star hotel. Maybe my expectations are too high!

Very happy with my stay at this hotel. Would highly recommend and will come back to stay.
Excellent location- conveniently located central downtown and walking distance to a lot of places. Within 10min walk to Crew Cafe, Complexe Desjardins, Underground City, Eatons, Notre Dame Basilica and many great restaurants such as Monarque.
Amenities- great! The gym had decent equipment, there is an outdoor heated pool and a sauna. Lobby has a cafe and there is a restaurant and bar in building as well.
Valet parking (in and out privilege) $48/night or self parking $35/night in same building. And a grocery store âAvrilâ just outside the hotel.
Room- very clean and spacious! Modern design, includes slippers, very comfortable mattress with foam pillows. There is a mini bar fridge, electric kettle and a coffee machine. There is also a water dispenser in the hallway to refill your water bottles.

Wahed MokhtarGreat Recovery by Management â Excellent Location!â
Our stay started off on the wrong foot due to a few issues with our initial room. However, I was very impressed with how management handled the situation. They were quick to respond and offered us an upgraded room for our second night, which completely turned our experience around.
The hotel is in a fantastic locationâwalking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. Thanks to the excellent service recovery, we left with a positive impression and would consider staying here again.

QIANThere is an attached restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which provides a continental breakfast. It costs 11 knives per person (approximately). Then you can choose your own food with milk (cold), morning cereals, bagels, bacon, sausages, yogurt and fruit. You can also order your own breakfast.
Good location, 5 minutes walk from Chinatown subway station, 8 minutes walk from Laogang.
No extra bed available.
There is generation parking service.

My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms.
We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow.
For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests.
Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name.
Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings.
I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

We reserved a more expensive king room a very long time ago, but finally we got a double bed room on our first day without any refund, what we got is only complementary breakfast, for a couple itâs extremely bad experience.
We ask for daily cleaning and I do remind the staff at the front desk before I leave the room for journey on a day, but we found that the cleaning lady forget cleaning the room and the lady pass the buck that we put the do not disturb sign at the door handler which is not the FACT!
Also we are care about safe at lobby, but we do found tramp coming lobby for a free coffee at self serve coffee machine, hotel need to address this serious problem as soon as possible, I sincerely hope the hotel can read this review seriously and understand my disappointment.

Service at concierge was excellent. This lady at the breakfast, her name Mayra, should change her job. No customer care at all. She gave us attitude when we checked in to access the breakfast room. In fact we did not go back for the rest of the 3 days. Also, They missed a day to clean out room and to change our towels due to new year eve rush. Lastly, The 5-10 minutes waiting for an elevator every time it is something they need to resolve.
Location is excellent but they should improve in the restorations and modernization of the floors and rooms. Wall paper coming off, in the corridors, paint peeling off in the shower. It looks very sloppy. For CAD$350 per night I would have aspected something better.

This hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and thereâs a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyoneâs tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyoneâs taste palate.
Iâd highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
