Amazing
GGuest UserThis is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Budapest! The hotel is located right in the city center, within walking distance to all the major attractions and trendy spots. Plus, there are supermarkets and plenty of food and drink options nearby. All the drinks in the mini-bar fridge are complimentary, and we even received L'Occitane skincare samples upon check-in. We visited during Chinese New Year, and for a holiday period, paying just over 500 per night was an absolute steal! The room decor is exquisite and elegant, and being a new hotel that opened in 2025, everything felt fresh. The soundproofing was excellent, and the skylight could be opened, which was great for preventing stuffiness. On our first day, we had a slight issue with the bathroom drain, but after reporting it to the front desk, they quickly moved us to a new room. Their problem-solving was super efficient. I'll definitely be recommending Wonder Hotel to all my friends visiting Budapest in the future!
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were quite incompetent. Check-in took forever, and then my friend's room key didn't work. Another friend found a welcome card for someone else on their table upon entering their room. My room was a corner room, which they didn't even ask about, but they were very pushy about getting us to upgrade. We upgraded, and the service was still terrible. Then, at check-out, we thought it would be quick, but a young woman struggled for ages before calling over her colleague. We thought there might be an extra charge, but then she somehow pulled out someone else's room cards, claiming they didn't match ours. Couldn't she just ask us what our room number was? We gave her two room cards, and she somehow ended up with three! We were in a hurry to catch a flight and told them so, but she still fumbled around for ages. Plus, the kettle in the room was broken, and when we asked for a replacement, that one was also broken... It was an ordeal all afternoon; we couldn't even take an afternoon nap. I can only say the hotel is all show and no substance; the interior is rotten. Also, it seems like they sprayed a lot of disinfectant in the room when cleaning, and the windows don't open for ventilation...

FFleurhuahuaThe Marriott's location is absolutely fantastic, but the room size was surprisingly small, and the bathroom made me feel like I'd stepped into a 3-star motel! Perhaps because of the location, our river view room offered beautiful views of the Danube and Chain Bridge, both day and night. Plus, Pier 7 is right downstairs, making boat trips super convenient. However, on weekend nights, the downstairs dance bar doesn't quiet down until 11 or 12, and you can still hear the noise even with the windows closed. If you're sensitive to noise, you might want to consider that, but the view truly is excellent. The hotel's front desk staff were very helpful and even booked a taxi for us to the airport. Overall, the service was great!

GGuest UserThe hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car.
CChristina M GiuffreContinental Comfort in Budapest 🏩
For €260 a night 💶, the “junior suite” delivers big on comfort — a bed you’ll melt into 🛏️, pillows with personality, and a breakfast omelette 🍳 that could win awards. The staff are genuinely lovely 😊, and the building itself has a historic glass dome that makes you stop and stare.
Not everything hit the mark — the “wellness centre” (a sauna that’s more lukewarm hug than steamy escape 🧖♂️) and toiletries that smell like disappointment. Luxury touches didn’t quite sparkle, yet the space was clean, practical, and restful 😌.

GGuest UserThe idea of staying in a castle monastery is appealing, especially if you prefer a quieter side of Budapest. The room was pleasant, but not overly luxurious. The breakfast was simple, and the music was too loud when I woke up.
The location wasn’t convenient for me, and the monastery experience didn’t live up to my expectations. I stayed on the other side of Pest and had a much better time.
FfengyiqiThe hotel is located in the city center. There are shops around. You can walk to the attractions. After all, Budapest has many attractions.
Service: Overall, I am very satisfied. Every staff member will ask if you need help and take the initiative to help with the luggage. The plane arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 in the morning. I waited for more than 10 minutes before the room was given to me.
You must also choose breakfast. There are not many types of breakfast, but they are very delicate. Every dish is very good. There are single dishes and buffets. Breakfast is in the hotel’s own Michelin restaurant on the first floor.
Talk about the shortcomings: I booked a Matilda Suite, but I was given the most basic king-size bed room? ? ? I didn’t react until the third day of my stay, so I didn’t negotiate with the hotel.
The hotel is not large, but the facilities are very new.
The sanitation is still quite satisfactory. Some places that are not easy to see need to be cleaned! Overall, it is still recommended!

AAnonymous UserCheck-in time was flexible; we arrived early and were immediately given a room to rest, which was a huge plus for those arriving on early flights. Our standard room was on the 5th floor, a typical hotel room setup with good natural light and plenty of sunshine. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. In contrast, the bathroom had a much more distinctive design. A highlight was the small spa pool on the basement level, which had a unique vibe, wasn't crowded, and was very relaxing. It's complimentary for guests. While the hotel breakfast didn't have a huge selection, everything was relatively tasty, especially the Hungarian baked eggs, which were exactly to my liking. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended! PS: There was a wedding party on the day we checked in, and the music was quite loud at night, but fortunately, we couldn't hear it much from the 5th floor.
GGuest UserThis hotel is fantastic! The staff are so warm and friendly. The New York Cafe is right next to the hotel's ground floor, which means you don't have to queue for a table during your stay – super convenient, especially in peak season. We also had breakfast there, and the selection was incredibly rich and varied. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
