"Very large apartment, double bed (135 cm) is quite small, old and poorly maintained. Upon arrival, it was set up for one person; they brought an extra towel and a bottle of water, but not the rest of the essentials (toiletries, sandals, etc.). The shower temperature is difficult to adjust; it's easy to get burned."

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe have a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. The services provided by Bruno at the concierge before , during and after our stay have been top notch. He helped us arrange the private vehicle to visit the different tourist spots prior to our arrival and we managed to maximise our 2 days one night stay visiting the souvenir shops, giraffe park and the national park immediately on arrival and the relaxing hotel massage services prior to dinner.
He also assisted us to book the 3 different restaurants and the food were all to our satisfaction.
Thanks again to Bruno for his efficient and attentive service. Our stay could not be better!
GGuest UserThe hotel is newly opened, the whole facilities are good, the price is very high, next to Chinatown and the center. The internal environment of the hotel is also good, and the hotel is basically Chinese. The hotel also arranged a free pick-up service. In addition, the hotel's buffet lunch and dinner are excellent value for money, and there is no need to eat outside. Finally, hotel security is also in place.
It would be better to have a table in the standard room.
YYao bukeyanThis is a relatively new and luxurious hotel in Nairobi. Security is very strict, with security personnel questioning guests at the entrance, dogs checking for explosives, and even armed security personnel checking bags in the lobby. However, there's no need to worry about security; it's purely a government requirement. The staff at the hotel are very nice, from the front desk to the concierge and the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and willing to help with any questions.
The hotel has comprehensive facilities, including table tennis, darts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant offers a rich breakfast and excellent coffee.
The hotel's location isn't very central, so there are no restaurants nearby. You can either dine at the hotel or take an Uber to the nearby village market, which offers both food and shopping. It's very convenient.
GGuest UserThis is a real treasure of a place! The atmosphere is old world charm, the food is fabulous at TATU. The bar is excellent with service and attentiveness to you needs. The gift shop is stellar for some nice jewelry. The facilities are clean as a whistle as they say...breakfast was outstanding with so many choices. The work out facilities are just super great, and the pool is heated. Ok, lastly the ambiance of colonial Africa just fills the air, from the art, to the breezes flowing freely through this wonderful hotel!
MMrV12341234Overall this hotel was good. The breakfast food spread was amazing and the A-la-cart items you could order at dinner were very fancy and delicious.
The staff was friendly and kind (but they often seemed overwhelmed with work). There was a huge walking path in the back of the lot. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel was clean. The gym was small; it included a rack of dumbbells, two or three treadmills, an elliptical machine, and one yoga mat. The water jug in the gym was empty.
We wouldn’t stay here again because there are really nice hotels nearby for 1/3 of the cost. Maybe the food variety wouldn’t be as good as Eka, or less beautiful grounds, but Eka was not worth the extra cost. We stayed two nights and the entire time couldn’t see where the $125 a night value was coming from.
Sadly, the other Nairobi hotel ratings on Trip are lower, like 3.5. An example hotel is Maison Royale. But if you’re looking for a good hotel just a bit less fancy, go somewhere else.
JJIONGThe environment is very good, if only some wild animals are raised. Breakfast is good, set breakfast and dinner, barbecue for one night to watch the show, European dinner for one night. Both are pretty good. At noon, it will be resolved next to the shopping mall. Not too many guests, suitable for vacation.
SSammyjake95Nice hotel. More upmarket than others. Very clean and offers a good service. I would recommend they do some more maintenance however, especially with the men’s steam room. It’s quite run down.
MMaz686We checked in after arriving in Nairobi. The staff at hotel were really polite especially at the front desk. We were able to exchange money which was great and saved us the hassle of searching for another place.
We wanted to go to the Masai Market and asked the concierge how much it would cost for them to organise a car. It was extremely overpriced at $40 for a return journey. We ended up downloading the uber app and paid around $8 dollars for a return trip! Definitely useful to download Uber!
The room was clean enough and we had a great night's sleep as we were shattered from the journey.
DDiaosilaoyeThe facilities are a bit old, a bit... I'm honest, I won't say much. It's very convenient to buy things and eat around. The accommodation and breakfast are really average.
FFay AllcockThe hotel itself is in a great location. However, there are major constructions going on outside our room which started at 8am until 6pm - not the hotel’s fault, however, when we asked to move rooms with one woman and she insisted there was no construction going on, even after showing her a picture of it, so we were denied. We asked to move again the following day with a different worker who was more than happy to help. Our new room was away from the construction, so it was very quiet.
The breakfast was great, I would highly recommend it.
