"we have stayed here for 5 nights and the breakfast choice was as great as we have thought after reading the reviews simply because they stick to just fixed items whereas when we stayed in 5 stars hotels in asia, there's always slight difference of options daily for breakfast. the stay was ok, I would stay it feels more like a good 4 stars than a true 5 stars"

We really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located near the Lido area; great restaurants around the hotel and the airport bus stops right outside the hotel (return cost 8 euros)! Staff really friendly also and the team arranged a little surprise for my partner s birthday also. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was really good too with lots of choices. Hotel amenities were good too. All in all a great hotel. We also enjoyed the 30min walk to the old town from hotel but appreciate this may not be for everybody…though plenty taxis and the local bus route are a skip and a hop away.

We didn't like it. It felt like everything was missing. There were no slippers, robes, water (!), 3-in-1 cosmetics, and an empty minibar in the room. For this money, you expect more. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. The room with a view of the city overlooked the neighboring hotel Savoy. The view was good, but you couldn't open the window because there were hoods nearby, and the smells of food were drawn into the room. Paid parking - 11 euros/night. Inexpensive, but again, they could have included it in the price for hotel guests. Good roof

The hotel facilities and location are amazing! The rooms are big and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is good with many options. The only negative point is the lack of detail in the service. The y offer only one water bottle per room and charge for refill, they offer no vanity kit or sleepers. Emitem magnólia could be a top hotel in Madeira if they pay more attention to the details.
Overall we had a good time anyway.

X~tinaCool Ronaldo/football themed hotel. Staff were excellent, rooms - modern and quiet. The hotel is about 15-20 mins walk to the city life. You get a free ticket to CR7 museum with your stay (worth €5).

Dani-11My second stay at Alto Lido this year and it was even better than the first. Staff is professional and polite.
I was kindly surprised with a room upgrade which was beautiful and comfortable. Lovely modern hotel.
I will definitely be back again.

The hotel was good but I think 5-star is a bit too much. It’s a standard 4-star hotel. Location is close to Funchal but having a rental car is a must. Hotel also has a parking lot which is very good considering it being a challenge in many areas

Guest UserThe hotel is located just outside of old Funchal which was about 10 minutes drive away. There are lots of good restaurants near by and nearest beach is appropriately 7-10minutes walk down from the hotel. Good breakfast options. Nice location for a sunset view from the outdoor pool area.

I chose a hotel with an ocean view at an affordable price.
As a result, there was a hotel with very spacious rooms, panoramic window, coffee/tea, a comfortable bathroom with bid, a large balcony. The only moments: a separate bed for the couple and a weak shower. Noise of night waves on the amateur:) We had to close the door on the balcony, though it was quite noisy.
The service is very friendly.
Breakfast is delicious and fresh. There are plenty of baking, drinks, cuts and hot.
I didn't expect there would be a free transfer to the center and back. Absolute plus this hotel because it is not in step-by-step access from the center.
The views, the purity near the hotel, its beach is amazing.
Then we lived in the private sector and a lot of what looked at the island, but the first two nights in Orca Praia remained in our heart 💘

The bathroom facilities are simple, and the deluxe double room has no door. It is inconvenient to dry clothes on the balcony, and the room is too small. The environment and service are good, three meals a day are all inclusive and taste good, and the parking is convenient.
