So, as it was our first trip to Hua Hin, we needed somewhere central, and this hotel couldn't have been any closer to Bluport shopping Mall. Literally located adjacent to Bluport on Soi 100/1 - this hotel gets a 10 out of 10 for location.
There are green baht buses that you can catch from outside Bluport to the other mall called Market Village for 15 baht per person. If you cross over the road to the opposite side of Bluport, you can catch a green Baht bus to Khao Takiab beach also 15 Baht ride.
I would describe this hotel as budget to mid range and although clean, the decor is a bit dated and tired looking, especially the main reception area.
The room we had was perfectly clean, and although the decor looked better, there was still a bit of a dated feel to it. The room has a mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary bottles of water, replenished daily. The mattresses are quite firm, but that suited us. The towels would benefit from being replaced with new ones, but they were clean even if they didn't look it.
The reception staff were friendly but could do with more training on being customer solution focused. We enquired about hiring a car and both of the ladies we spoke to were not that helpful and never got back to us with any car rental information.
The breakfast served was varied, and I found the staff in the breakfast room very attentive and caring.
A good selection of Thai dishes, western breakfast ingredients, cereals and fruit galore plus some traditional Thai sweets which was an added bonus for us.
The pool area of the hotel is very nice with a limited number of sun loungers which were quickly claimed by our fellow German travellers! Not a problem for us since we didn't intend our holiday lounging around the pool all day. Too much to see, do, and experience for us. 😀
Overall, I would say this is an okay to good hotel and great for a flying visit. If I were staying longer. I think I would be looking for something a little bit better.

There is a night market nearby, but unfortunately it is across the railroad tracks and you have to go the long way around.
At the water park, my child could not use the floatation ring I brought.
I wish they would at least let us use the type of floats that attach to our arms.
The rooms are clean and the children like the playful bunk beds.

My stay at the Marriott Hua Hin was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The resort’s beachfront location offers breathtaking ocean views, and the lush tropical landscaping creates a serene atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and luxurious amenities.
The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff always ready to assist. The pool area was a highlight and plenty of loungers for relaxation.
The hotel's direct beach access was convenient, and the on-site restaurants provided excellent dining choices. Overall, the Marriott Hua Hin delivers a perfect mix of luxury and comfort, making it ideal for me. I would highly recommend it for a memorable getaway.
With its free-flowing organic design and fantastic facilities, this is the perfect place to unwind and be blessed by the beauty of nature.
Stay in your choice of 380 contemporary rooms and suites, all set around large freeform lagoon pools that flow through the resort. On the ground floor, pool access rooms allow guests to step straight into the inviting water from their private terrace, while the family suites are ideal for multi-generational vacations.

Alternatively, the fitness center is a great place to work out. Light bites and memorable meals can be enjoyed at the bright all-day dining restaurant, beach club or pool bar, and a large, flexible function space creates a stunning setting for out-of-town events and one-of-a-kind weddings.

The floor in the bathroom is slippery, we have asked servicing department and front desk to give us a bath mat for 3 times before the staff can understand. There was a large company to have team building in hotel during our stay. Therefore they occupied most of the beach club, having party in beach club until 1:00 am. Since we are staying in the deluxe seaview room, we are highly disturbed by their music (noise)! It is not convenient for calling grab unless you paid additional 120 baht and order in advance. Breakfast is just average and we have to queue up some times to get our coffee and food since there are more than 100 guests but only have 2 coffee machines and not much food counters.

I recently stayed at The Standard Hotel in Hua Hin with my husband and daughter, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, which creates a refreshing atmosphere perfect for a relaxing holiday. The abundant trees provide numerous beautiful photography spots, and the magnificent tree at the center of the hotel serves as a lovely symbol of the place.
The swimming pool, while medium-sized, is just right for spending quality time with family.
One of the standout features was the impressive breakfast. The staff exhibited excellent service, and I appreciated the option to order eggs; they served them fresh at our table.
However, I would suggest that the front desk communicate better with housekeeping. We were provided with only two towels for our stay, which was a bit inconvenient for three people. Also, note that breakfast for children is priced at 400 baht, which you can pay at check-out.
On a positive note, there is plenty of parking available, and the hotel is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly.
Overall, I highly recommend The Standard Hotel for a great family getaway!

SSonnyThe breakfast here was excellent with a wide variety of selections of decent quality and a fresh juice station. The butlers were nice and friendly. Plenty of amenities were available.
However even at what appears to be half occupancy rate at the property, there were noisy and littering guests around the relatively small property. The breakfast restaurant also got quite busy at 9am.
The villas themselves are relatively well maintained, but there were rusty vent covers in the restrooms. The rooms were spacious but they offered no view. Bedrooms either had no windows or they faced walls about 6 feet away.
Dinner service was slightly intrusive as we were asked 3 separate times how our dinner went. Our dishes were hastily collected and were asked to help pass finished dishes even though we've already asked for the check.
The staff were nice and the breakfast was good but overall we didn't think the stay matched their ask and the experience they intended to provide.
There are other luxury properties in the area provide oceanview villas and better services for the same or less. The management needs to charge less, or get rid of the glaring shortcomings.

AAunchalee S.Location is superb. Right by the sea.
Hotel is small but clean.
Good sevice, good breakfast. Good afterrnoon tea
But not so much activities to do. Not suitable for family with little kids.
UUrban blissThe hotel is an about 5-10mins from hua hin night market or major shopping centres. So you’ll need to commute back and forth if you want to do some shopping or for meals outside of the hotel but taxis ain’t easy to get during busy hours.
We booked two rooms with garden view. The rooms felt a bit old and our boys got really bad mosquito bites all over their face, arms and legs (So beware if you are travelling with kids).
There were many activities for kids (badminton, swimming, mini football, kids room) but you do need to queue for your turn as the hotel was busy.
Breakfast was buffet styled and the food was ok (but nothing too spectacular) with plenty of local and western options.
The spa was very good. I had a deep tissue massage and I just felt so relaxed and slept through half of the treatment.
Overall, a well established resort in hua hin with a more traditional or old-school feel to it. If you are looking for a more modern resorts with newer facilities, then this may not be the place for you.

GgodskitchenThe pictures posted be others didn't do this villa any justice, this place looks and feels much better than that. I was sceptical at first, but decided to go ahead with the booking. Was very surprised by the place.
First of all, the villa is totally cool. Reception is very welcoming. Welcome drinks and friendly smiles makes your long hours drive so worth it. Parking is available with about 20 lots. Security will guide you to your lot, not many llts utilised but stayers.
The walk to the villa is just a short throw, 1 minute. Each and every villa has almost totally privacy. 2 main types ground level or upper level. Ground level has private pool, view from upper level is blocked from view via an aluminum awning louvres. The pool is also blocked from view from outsiders via bamboo structures.
The ground level with private pool is all yours, not share with next door. There is a jacuzzi in the bath area. Huge one in a huge bath area. 2 separate wash basins with separate standing shower and toilet, all sheltered by glass panels. Make up area is big too. Big side bed by the ultra huge bed. Putting 2 king beds describes the size, can sleep 4 adults side by side.
The beach is just a few villas roons distance away depending on which villa is yours.
Photos attached to justify the better than expected uploaded pictures.
There's are also non villa rooms, but didn't explore them.
Breakfast is imho about jist above average, sufficient on international and local delights. But don't buy my words, i travelled far and wide and had high expectations on food. Eggs station, wide selection of drinks and around 10 hot dishes, cold dishes about there too. Restaurant is by the beach. Sunrise view but hot is you sit by the individual shelters, else the main restaurant good.
Overall impressed with the service, from security, to porter, to the reception.
Rooms are clean as it can get, pool with some particles by acceptable, jacuzzi is as good as new. Wooden structures dish as doors and bridges by the pool and wooden decks looks a little wormed out, but some has been repaired, never impacting stay.
Location is far from the night market but if you are after peace and quiet, this is the one. Near takiap. 6min drive to hua hin beach, else 30min walk along the coast.
One of the best villas at its price range. Reviewed based on july 2024.
AAnonymous UserPros:
1) Friendly and helpful staff.
2) Clean room (standard room)
3) Water, shampoo and body wash re-supplied daily.
4) 6 minute walk to a real gym.
5) Lobby and grounds are kept clean and presentable.
6) Laundry next door. Give the money to the laundry attendant in the laundromat and she will make change, then she will load everything in the washer and dryer. All you have to do is wait or come back later. I chose just to pay 40 baht for wash and air dried my clothes in my room.
Cons:
1) Shower is not separate from the toilet and sink. A shower should be the last thing you need to do in the restroom or you will get your feet soaked.
2) Shower is separate in Deluxe Room.
3) Safes are not in the standard rooms but are provided in the Deluxe Rooms.
4) No daily room service. If you want room cleaning, they will charge you.
5) Monthly renter has to pay for electricity and water.
6) Location is not within walking distance of restaurants and other activities.
7) There is a restaurant and cafe at the hotel, but the prices are doubled and portions are small.
8) Breakfast gets cold within 30 minutes because for some reason, they don’t like using warmers.
9) Fitness center is good for a minimal workout, but not for a full workout.
10) Be aware of the price sheet in the room that lists charges for anything damaged, to include a towel.
11) The bed is very hard.

JJohnny EuroReally fantastic hotel. The staff are very pleasant and lovely. The location of the hotel is perfect nestled inbetween the city market and the old night market. If you go out the hotel and turn up soi88 you will get to the local market also within 5 mins. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to the old town beach (you can walk in less than 10 mins). However, the best beach is behind the Marriot hotel, just across from the Grand Hotel. Breakfast is really good and fresh and offers both European and Thai options. The fried eggs are cold tho, so you have to ask the waiter to heat them up. The swimming pool is nice too. Only downside is some of the guests 'reserve' sunbeds then disappear for hours, leaving other guests without access. Overall great place to stay and definitely want to return. All the rooms have sea view!

GGuest UserLocation is about 15mins walk from Hua Hin train station. The hotel is also about 5 - 10mins walk to the night market and about 10 - 15mins walk to the beach. There are food eateries nearby the hotel so it was not an issue when the booking did not include breakfast. Check in / check out was smooth, but the hotel staff explained to me that my booking was for the economy room which is facing the road on the 2nd floor and the windows are directly facing the hotel floodlights. Fortunately, the room has day curtains at the windows to block out most of the light beam and the flood lights are switched off later into the night. The shower comes with an instant heater and the room comes with a kettle and bottled water. There is no toothbrush and no toothpaste and bedroom slippers are not provided. The mattress and pillows are firm but I didn't manage to sleep well at night as there was constant opening and closing of doors loudly along the corridor in the middle of the night and many voices could be heard speaking very loudly.

Very Good
FFengjingrushihuaThe sea view cottage is worth staying in. It is on the fourth floor, with 2 floors on each floor, with a balcony. There is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, it is recommended to choose the lower floor. The upper floor has a wide view, the sound insulation is not too good, the air conditioner is super cold and the sound is loud, the WiFi network is not slow, and the signal is good. The area is quite suitable for a family hotel. There is a big bed, 2 small beds, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 large balconies (the bathroom downstairs is a bit small, so fat people should not enter.) Plus the 1.5m sofa bed in the 1F living room, it can accommodate 6 people without any problem. It’s just that the small room upstairs facing the road seems to have no big windows and is afraid of the dark. Children have shadows in their hearts and avoid the crowd. No toiletries are provided, and towels are also a bit old. It is recommended to bring your own. In addition to not being able to cook, the dinner plates, knives, forks and cups are complete, and they also thoughtfully give dishcloths, bottle openers, and fruit knives. I was stunned.
The pool water is a little green, but still clear, so it doesn't matter if you are not good at swimming. Hua Hin has strong winds and waves in January. The tide is high during the day, so you can't walk along the ChomView coast to play in the sea and sand. The tide will go out after 6 pm. You can walk to Hua Hin Beach in the north and to Khao Takiap in the south at night. If you like to go to the sea, you can check the tide table online. Overall, the hotel has everything you need, and it is a big deal for a small price. It is suitable for people who are not picky. It is very close to the Cicada Night Market (Thursday-Sunday). There is also a cost-effective seafood food stall Pa-Ruay Pu Pen diagonally opposite the night market. It is recommended by a certain audio.
