I will start by saying we are frequent travelers and have never left a poor review for any stay. We booked Cocobay a year in advance and were counting down the days for our arrival. The videos and pictures on social media had us beyond excited to celebrate our anniversary in paradise. Upon check in we were taken to a downgraded room from what we had booked and paid for. The staff did not catch this we noticed and immediately went to the front desk. Had we not noticed they would have charged us for the high level room we booked and allowed us to stay in the downgraded room. Side note, there was hair on our bed and “anniversary” was spelt wrong on the bed (I could have looked past this had we had the correct room). I will start by saying the property is marketed very well but leaves much to be desired. The pools are small with few chairs and the beaches were public. We were told by a staff member we could walk if we wanted to another close by beach but could “get robbed”. The food options are very limited and were the same for dinner and lunch, no top shelf alcohol. There are also up charges for many of the food choices on the menu. This resort is advertised as being romantic and luxury yet people are eating dinner in baseball caps and bathing suit. Little was done to rectify the booking mishap other than them saying it was a big embarrassment. We left after a day to head to another resort and would not recommend to anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing experience.

Just returned from a week long trip to this resort in Antigua, and once again the Caribbean has not disappointed. Beautiful weather, beautiful islands, even more beautiful beaches than I imagined. Truly the best of them! As for the resort, and our 8 day honeymoon at Cocobay, I can only say wow! This is only my opinion of course, every person sees things differently and it only takes one positive or one negative thing to change how you feel about your trip. As for this resort, I give it an overall 5 out of 5 but it’s close to a 4 when you compare the cost to the negatives. Food and staff are absolutely top notch on all levels. Anything we needed, the staff were there to help us get it. Big thanks to Marlin who always pointed us in the right direction! And Siaska always making us a special mix for the day. There is only one restaurant at this resort, but the variety and options were great and there is plenty of delicious delicacies for just about anyone. One thing that really stood out at this resort, over any others I have been, was they had a note with our room number of my allergy to mushrooms, and at every single meal the server took the time to show me what food options I should avoid, or they would offer that entree with no mushrooms, this was without me asking at all! It was part of their overall care of the guests and I was really appreciative for that extra touch. So food and staff- five out of five all day! Now I have to share a few negative things: 1. Food delivery/Room service is extra cost, even if we were ordering from the dinner menu that is already presented to all the patrons and nothing additional or special. I just didn’t feel like I agree with that policy, since we are already spending an extreme amount of money, and now you want an additional $50+ to have the regular evening dinner sent to our room? 2. The alcohol is lower of the lowest bottom shelf ( with the exception of the local Rum, which was amazing). I would expect a resort of this level (and cost) to have some quality liquor, at least a good or even mid-level vodka, like Tito’s. They definitely have some good rum though. And the bartenders were absolutely amazing at making any special drink for you. 3. There are two beautiful pools for guests, but no shade anywhere if you want to be inside them. That’s not too big of a deal, but when I tell you, the heat is some serious heat, sitting in the pool can really help cool you off, but you are still burning without any shade. The entire resort is open air, so the only AC you get is in your room. The heat can get to you! 4. This is a little out of the control of the resort, but the bugs, were insane! I mean we were getting eaten up. Even using bug spray, if you don’t cover every inch of your body with it, they will find a spot and bite the crap out of you. And you never see them, they aren’t mosquitoes. Glad for the nets on our beds, bc they find their way in your room too. 5. The room/maid service often forgot tow

We were in Antigua for 9 nights and had booked 4 nights at Sandals then 5 nights here. Should have just stayed here. The wife was a little worried about the lack of restaurant choice, she likes to stay at hotels that have a big selection - however as she herself said her fears were totally unfounded. A good choice of dishes for each course, for each meal, and if you didn’t like anything they’d offer to cook you something bespoke if it was available. All the food was amazing (although occasionally the portion sizes were a little awry, the tuna salad starter was huge, the curry main not so much… - but both tasty). The room was lovely, with great views, Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Definitely recommended.

My wife and I went here in early June of 2024. For those who are looking for a quick summary, I'll write that first than go into details for those who are doing deep research. Cocobay Resort is in a very beautiful location, the most scenic I have ever seen in my life. After a couple of days, you find out that their key demographic is honeymooners. The reason I say that is the main things to do at the resort is eat, drink, lay by the pool or on the beach, take in the view, and spend time in your room...with each other...... If you are looking to do anything beyond that, you will have to pay. The food was very good (my wife had other opinions). Service was extremely good. The room is complicated to explain. Simply put our view from our room was great, but the rustic cabin had simple flaws that were annoying. It's a great resort, but we felt that it was too pricey for what little it provided. I would still very much recommend it, but know what you're getting. Resort: The resort offers 2 infinity pools, 2 restaurant that one of them you have to pay outside of your all inclusive package, coffee bar that has a very small gift shop, fully stocked bars across from the restaurant and the other by the sunset pool, and 3 beaches. Everything is very clean and well kept. Everything is also open air, so that was a disadvantage for us because the temps were in the 90 degrees with a heat index of 100. That leaves the only way to escape the drenching heat is the water. Pools were well kept and has lounge chairs. Depending on the time of day, half of the chairs are out of the sun. Room: The room is a one room cabin with a bathroom. Everything is wooden, except stuff in the bathroom. There is an air conditioner in the corner of the room and a fan above the bed. The bed faces the patio, so you can wake up every morning to a great view. Bed is a very comfortable king size bed. The doors to the patio and the main door to your cabin have pretty large gaps. Small enough to function, but the only security that you have on your main door is the door knob lock. The gap in the patio door did let a good amount of heat inside. Some of the floor boards did bend as I walked on them. The bathroom, during the day, is a hot box if you stay in there for over 5 minutes because there is no air conditioner near by. It seemed every time I went to the bathroom, I had to take a cold shower to rinse the sweat off of me. The floor in the bathroom got drenched from the shower that we had to designate a towel clean up the puddles. There is a tin roof covering, but no ventilation at the top. That means the fan is blowing the hot air from the cooking tin roof down to the ground. The air conditioner was on full blast the entire day, but little effect until the evening. Pools and beaches: The best ocean water I have ever been in. Very calm and very blue. The beaches are public beaches, but that is not an issue. Plenty of room. The pools are well kept and

Me and my husband were very nervous at first because all inclusive’s kind of have a reputation. However, Coco Bay blew us out of the water. The food was great, the staff were amazing. I also have a decent amount of food, allergies, and they were more than accommodating. The area was always kept clean and the beach was perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough. Our honeymoon will surely be one to remember.

This resort was perfect if you are looking for a total unplug. It was quiet and romantic, beaches are beautiful, staff is wonderful and the food is as great. There is definitely not a ton to do aside from relax and chill out- which is exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend and come again.

We just returned from a 6 night stay. Kemliyn checked us in and upgraded us to a Cottage closer to the Restaurant and pools after she saw I had a issue with a sore leg. She was amazing ALL week long. She was amazing at finding us the best excursions. There is really only one restaurant- - then they have a Panini machine at one bar that makes sandwiches. and they have a restaurant on property that is open to the public called Sheer Rocks - which is not included in the All inclusive package. The pools are very clean and could always find a lounge chair. Bartenders Lisa - Mac Daddy - Derrick and Shiasta were AWESOME!! They were the epitome of service with a smile. I would definitely recommend and would return in a heart beat.
