The location of the hotel is very good, the facilities are modern, the room is not too big, clean and tidy, the front desk is very friendly, there is no Uber in the local area, and the front desk helps to call taxis.

The place is clean, welcoming, comfortable and well located. The service is friendly. The beds were comfortable and noise from other rooms is not apparent. Only downside is the translucent window on the bathroom baths the room in light in the middle of the night if someone is using it and of course everything is audible.

The rain & wind on the windows/metal structure outside was SUPER loud all night & reception couldn’t offer any solution to the problem - poor design of a building by the sea…!

Loved everything about this hotel. Clean, modern, comfortable beds and great location! Steps away from Water Street, George Street and Jellybean Row. Special thank you to Bailey, Jordan, John & Justin who assisted me with all my questions and for their wonderful suggestions. They were very service oriented and friendly. Highly recommended hotel! I can't wait to come back.

We enjoyed stays at 4 Alt hotels over the years including at Pearson airport, Montreal, Ottawa and St. John’s. All the hotels were equally comfortable, our favourite was St.John’s due to friendly and efficient staff; spacious and bright lobby, easy to navigate whether it’s the front desk, lounge, cafe, outdoor garden, etc.; excellent food & service at the cafe and memorable breakfast at Terre (Clara’s breakfast, a favourite); simple, stylish and comfortable rooms; graphic of the puffin was a favourite; floor to ceiling windows made the room feel much larger; ease of central panel control to adjust features; and stayed in a Queen room, and a King room in between visits outside of St. John’s, central location with street, partial and full water views.
