Talana Hotel

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. we had a really enjoyable visit and would book the hotel again.

Excellent service and atmosphere. Appreciate the extra care taken to ensure we had a good visit. James, Dee and the team are welcoming and very generous with their time and attention. Fabulous breakfast, chef James provided delicious cooked breakfast and got up early so we could make our flight...thank you!!

Really plesant stay. The rooms, although a bit dated decor wise, were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Only downside, was the bar was seldom open and there is no restaurant in the hotel (dinner) There is even a small pool on the terrace. Great location for touring the island

Fantastic stay, looks a little dated but really clean and comfortable! Great breakfast, lovely big bed, Dee and James can't do enough to help. Pool looked great but the weather put us off using it. Easy access to the island by car, free parking a bo9nus. Will go again. 😁😁😁

My husband and I have just had a lovely 5 night stay at the Talana. From the friendly welcome when we arrived, (we were able to get into our room at 10.30am) to the excellent breakfast in the morning. Enough choice for most people. The rooms were cleaned everyday, and fresh towels left. Some parts of the hotel are a bit "tired", but the helpful and friendly staff more than made up for this. The onsite car park is a bit tight, but very useful. All in all, a lovely stay in a very convenient location for exploring Jersey.

This isn’t a hotel. No WiFi, no hot water 2 days in a row, no breakfast before 0830 and all for £125 a night. I have stayed in some basic places and I have no problem with ‘no-frills’, but the Talana isn’t that good. The bracket holding the shower head broke on the first morning. Rather than replacing, they attempted to super glue it back together. The only positive was that I slept well. Avoid

Budget hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and hot shower. Staff were friendly, but had little or no local knowledge, which was disappointing after my data roaming had cost £10 in the first hour of arriving on the island, and the wifi was difficult to find, even in the areas where it was supposed to be available. There was a lot of noise during the night from the workers who seemed to be accommodated in the building (walking, and loud voices). Recommendations: - take earplugs. - research places to eat and drink nearby before you get there. - buy a pay as you go data SIM card for you phone when you get there - an Airtel Vodaphone one cost £5 for 5Gb. - try The White Horse for delicious food and drink at à competitive price. - there’s great food and service at Moitas on the seafront - it’s well worth the money - great freshly prepared food at Thai Smile - spend a day at the zoo - it’s fantastic and so tranquil - you can feel so close to the animals, and the cafe serves lovely food. - use the buses… they’re incredibly cheap! £2.25 per ride, or buy a pass for several days. The number 2 bus passes the Hotel Talana.

Talana Hotel is sort of backpacker special type of accommodation occupied primarily by workers. There is no dining option , no swimming pool in use, no hairdryers or internet. The shower is old fashion not the best . The place is noisy because of the workers living there, difficult to rest and sleep. At some point, there was a dog locked in the room barking all day. I feel sorry for the staff, as they work hard but this doesn't change the fact that it is one terrible place.

My partner and I stayed for five nights and we were really impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the delicious breakfasts. Dee and her husband went out of their way to make sure I had my veggie options and my husband loved his bacon and sausages. The little pool at the back is lovely to cool off in after a day out and overlooks peaceful countryside. Room was spotless with lovely, fluffy white towels replaced daily if required, tea and coffee with little milks restocked every day. There is a big lounge area with free Wi-Fi and a small bar open 6-11pm. Dee is happy to have a joke at breakfast even though she is so busy. The hotel is very quiet and a great base for exploring the island. It would have been nice to have bar meals or snacks available in the evenings for those who, like us, are sometimes too lazy to go out again after a busy day. Would I recommend it? Hell yes, great value, clean, great food
