This is a lovely hotel with great views and nice rooms. The reception staff are excellent. It is a shame though that the restaurant staff are a bit inflexible in a Swiss kind of way. There is a mix of customer service. If you deal with the normal staff there’s an ‘attitude’ like ‘we are doing you a favour being here’ After Covid-19 when the hospitality industry was shut down it surprises me that there is no consideration for customers who are staying at the hotel. The mood changes when the maitre’d comes out and deals with people at the entrance. It is smooth, no attitude. There is a problem in Switzerland with the standard of customer service. Maybe it needs Gordon Ramsay to visit to give your people a massive boot up the bum. Either take the comments below on-board. Or just stick with what you’ve always done.

The hotel is near the motorway and the bus (towards) is a time relatively fast in the city. Parking is sufficiently available on the left and right side of the hotel (to my mind). The lobby is relatively small but also shares the rooms with the ”Boom” restaurant, where breakfast can be taken. Although the rooms are easily furnished, But sufficiently large and very clean. Wi-Fi is amazingly fast for a hotel of this class. Although there is no air conditioning, but when you take the rooms with view to the street / tanker, it is not too hot in the summer. Also, you shouldn't take the top floor. Rooms at the end of the gang are quieter. In the (rapid) TV you can find enough channels for any taste. There is a small work area in the rooms with some sticks and room for notebook and a few documents. The staff at the reception is friendly, helpful and can provide further information. You can also buy tickets for the public transportation. Breakfast is possible from about 5:30 (under the week). I felt the room as relatively quiet. Even from the street, there was little more of it later evening, so I could sleep wonderfully with open window. From the price-performance ratio, the hotel - right in the Zürich room - is very cheap.

With the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).

I’ve never been so disappointed in my entire life. Today is Christmas Eve also the date of our check in at Five, in Zurich. When we arrived there was no one to help with our luggage or valet our vehicle. So we drove away from the front of the building and proceeded to park in public parking. We carry our three checked bags and our carry ons up a hill and all the way to the lobby, for the valet attendant to finally help us with our luggage and when I mean help I loaded in on the trolly and started pushing it and he kinda of just came and took over after I was already in the building and at the reception desk. After checking in we proceeded to our room, I went to get into the shower after a long day of travel and noticed the shower wasn’t draining and the bathroom was flooding. So we called and they said they were sending someone up. After about 45 minutes and three phone calls someone finally arrived. After they messed with the drain for 15 minutes they told us we needed a new room. So now we have to wait for someone to come and bring us to our new room as they requested. They told us they already check out the room/bathroom and everything was ok. Well it wasn't, this time the shower head was spraying water all over the ceiling and of course now they have to move us to a new room again. This all took about 3 hours which completely wasted our night and our Christmas Eve, I would expect that after all this they would at least would at least buy us a dinner or put us in a better room but nothing, not even a sorry from the front desk for this horrible inconvenience on Christmas Eve. They finally room they gave us didn’t even have conditioner or an outlet for the blow dryer for my fiancé to finally shower in the 3rd same level room.

This was our third time staying at Engimatt and like always has been a very pleasant experience. The staff from the reception to the restaurant are polite, efficient and friendly. We take either a junior suite or a family room. It is spacious with a nice balcony. The bathroom is well appointed. The beds are comfortable. The location is tucked in a quiet corner but close to a shopping mall (Sihlcity) and local transportation (tram stop Waffenplatz). The breakfast menu is super and the coffee is great. I will go back and stay there again.

As excellent as ever! This restaurant is my ****** absolute favorite ****** under the raised Swiss kitchens - it's just not better! Exquisite is the quality of food and preparation. The staff is very polite, trained, always there, enters special wishes and is extremely committed. The entire team, service and kitchen are great recorded. They all ensure a very pleasant atmosphere. Sunday breakfast is available every 1. Sunday in the month. This buffet has everything the heart wants: egg Benedict, rhei, cooked eggs, spice, sauce rosti, beef starter, salmon, roastbeef, regional cheese plate, fresh toast, sauce, bread, tomato buffalo mozzarella, Pancakes and various desserts. But not enough: besides this tasteful a discretion buffet, there is also a * main walk including* (e.g. calfsbacks - so slight as butter - with spätzli and red wine reduction. Also the drinks (O-sap, apple juice, water, coffee, tea, etc.) and a Prosecco glass are included in the price of 65.- Chf per person. It's worth it! This is always a home from home. From the moment of arrival till the departure, everything is amazing. The rooms are quality, the ability to get fresh air is always great. The view from the hotel is priceless, and the amenities are superb. But the thing that sets this apart is the staff. Always happy to accommodate any request, from beers in the foyer taking in the view, to teh amazing food served at dinner. I cannot praise this enough - travelling over 2/3 of the year for work, my visit to this place is always the highlight. So thank you all at the Belvoir - you always make my stay amazing

We stayed in this hotel with our family during a few days and various circumstances were there that made us difficult guests; elderly lady, wishes regaring accessiblity and circumstances. All were acted upon with great help. Even when we had to leave early the hotel-team we nothing but helpfull. TEAM THANK YOU VERY MUCH...

The location is very good, it is close to the city center, and there is a public tram stop nearby.  But we are self-driving tours. There is no paid large public parking lot. The so-called parking lots shown on the mobile phone map are private or supermarkets. In short, he will not give you parking as soon as the supermarket closes. Payment is not paid or paid. But there is also a way to find the  white ground line  meter ． on the street can be parked for free until 9 am, and then continue for two hours . In short, if you drive over, don't look like we stormed  looking for a public parking lot in this area, you can't find it, put it on the street.  There is no picky place to live. There is also a cute small terrace that is to study how to open the iron curtains for a while. It turned out that the switch was on the back of a wooden frame, not on the window. The cleanliness is high, the space is large, the cabinet is very beautiful, and it is also equipped with a dishwasher, which is very convenient. This is our dinner.  Everything is good. If you want to be picky, the two cooking pots are not very useful. I hope to finish these small things. It will be perfect.
