Huaihai Road's Hidden Gem Hotel | Seriously Good, You Guys! Girls! I've found a hidden gem of a hotel, and I just can't help but shout about it! Can you believe it's only around 100+ RMB per person, right in the heart of Shanghai's Xuhui district? The location is absolutely perfect! It's a 2-minute walk from Changshu Road subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed by the attention to detail. A staff member proactively helped me with my luggage and even took it to my room, which made me feel very secure. The room has a fresh air system, so the air quality is excellent! The bedding is so soft I didn't want to get up, and the disposable toiletries are very complete. I especially want to highlight the bathroom. The automatic smart toilet even had a disinfection seal – a clean freak like me was absolutely thrilled! The shared bathrooms are also disinfected after each guest, sparkling clean. At night, I connected my Bluetooth headphones to watch TV; it was quiet and private, just perfect. There's even a laundry room with both a washing machine and a dryer, which is ideal for travelers! The hotel is called 'Yi Zhi Ning Meng Hotel (Shanghai Huaihai Road Branch),' located on the 18th floor of Yunhai Building, No. 1329 Huaihai Middle Road. Truly a high-value, little slice of happiness. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's super convenient for both the subway and bus, just a 5-minute walk from Metro Line 2. There are so many great food options nearby – pan-fried buns, soup dumplings, yellow croaker noodles, you name it. The famous Ming Butterfly Pastries from the International Hotel, which always has a long queue, are also very close, making it easy to grab some. The hotel staff and cleaning ladies were all wonderful and incredibly responsive to our requests. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The room was incredibly spacious. Opening the window, you're greeted with a view of South Shaanxi Road, which really evokes that classic old Shanghai charm. Toiletries were provided, and they were from ALDI. It was super convenient for shopping, and the metro station was less than 5 minutes away, so really close. The bed was huge; two of us stayed there and had plenty of space to stretch out. There was a microwave, but we didn't end up using it.

World’s 3rd largest tower stands at less than 2 kms from this place. Convenient for bus and subway. Self-hired cars doesn’t have parking space.About the interior, 3 bedrooms with only one bathroom. Please be aware of this important fact, as it maybe embarrassing if 3 different families travel together. In my case, bathroom door latch wasn’t working, complaint raised, couldn’t solve the problem. It was definitely inconvenient. For the price paid, stay was ok. Campus seems old. Otherwise house was maintained neat and tidy. No extra checkout time or luggage storage option is available. Check in process was smooth and user friendly by message through WeChat. However, for temporary travelers without WeChat maybe a challenging task. Breakfast is not available as it’s honestly, which is fine. Overalla - Above Average stay experience !

Great review! It's a loft with European-style decor, located in a Shikumen alleyway. I loved the small courtyard, perfect for an evening drink. It was clean and hygienic, with one large bed, one small bed, and a sofa. There's a projector and a smart toilet, plus a kitchen fully equipped with utensils, dishes, and seasonings. A microwave is also available for heating food. The hot water and air conditioning worked perfectly. Disposable towels are available for a fee. There's also a washing machine and a drying rack, which is excellent and very convenient for longer stays! The service was very good, and any issues were promptly resolved. It's not far from attractions like the Bund and museums. Sinan Mansions and Tianzifang are within walking distance, with the latter being particularly close and great for a stroll. The sheets and duvet covers were clean and comfortable. The sofa bed comforter was a bit thick, and the large bed's mattress was quite soft – I personally prefer a firmer bed, but everything else was great. Highly recommend!

I came here for my US visa appointment, and this was pretty much the closest place I could find. It's within walking distance, indeed very, very close, so I didn't need to store my luggage. There's a FamilyMart downstairs, which is super convenient. Other than that, everything else was just so-so. The TV in the room was broken, but since I was only staying one night, I didn't bother asking the front desk to fix it. I think I left my charging cable in the room, but no one contacted me, so I didn't bother trying to retrieve it.

Nice staff and location. Building built in 2009. A bit older. Needs renovation. Apartment smells of sewage most of the time. Bed was uncomfortable. Sheets were making me itchy, but it happens sometimes as my skin is sensitive. Washer dirty, so didn't use.

We were very happy with our stay at Waiting Hotel! First of all, the location is excellent. The hotel is very close to the Bund and Yu Garden, making it easy to reach many of Shanghai’s beautiful and popular attractions on foot. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We stayed on the sixth floor and also enjoyed the view from our window. The rooms are not very large, but they are cozy, thoughtfully arranged, and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. We would especially like to thank the hotel staff for their excellent service and kind attitude. On the day of our departure, we were unable to check out by 12:00, and the staff kindly allowed us to stay until after 2:00 PM. This was extremely helpful for us, and we truly appreciated their understanding and flexibility. We are very grateful to the hotel team for their hospitality, care, and excellent service. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again. We can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai! We arrived at around 3:00 AM, and the staff welcomed us and checked us in immediately without any problems. They were very attentive and even helped us with our luggage. The elevator goes up to the fifth floor, while our room was on the sixth floor, so the staff kindly helped us carry a heavy suitcase upstairs. Прежде всего хочется отметить отличное расположение: отель находится совсем рядом с набережной Вайтань и садом Юйюань, поэтому до многих красивых и интересных мест Шанхая можно легко добраться пешком. В отеле было чисто и уютно. Мы жили на шестом этаже, и вид из окна нам тоже понравился. Номера небольшие, но комфортные и хорошо продуманные, есть всё необходимое для проживания. Отдельно хочется поблагодарить сотрудников отеля за прекрасный сервис и доброжелательное отношение. В день выезда мы не успевали освободить номер к 12:00, и нам любезно разрешили остаться до после 14:00. Для нас это было очень важно и действительно помогло. Мы очень благодарны персоналу за гостеприимство, понимание и заботу о гостях. У нас остались только приятные впечатления. С удовольствием остановились бы здесь снова и можем смело рекомендовать этот отель для проживания в Шанхае! Мы приехали примерно в 3 часа ночи, и нас сразу же встретили и без проблем заселили. Персонал был очень внимательным и даже помог нам с чемоданами. Лифт в отеле поднимается до пятого этажа, а наш номер находился на шестом, поэтому сотрудники помогли поднять тяжёлый чемодан наверх, за что мы им особенно благодарны.

We stayed there for 6 nights. The flat is nice and looks like the pictures. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is not ideal, as it's hard to find the place and the alley is not well lit. It's not far from Nianjing Road and the Bund by metro.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to Shanghai Railway Station. You just have to cross an underpass after exiting the subway. The ladies at the front desk were so warm and helpful, making the check-in process quick and easy. The room was really spacious, and the bathroom was huge too. Plus, there's a laundry room nearby offering free wash and dry services. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
