Very Good
GGuest UserHotel was exceptionally clean & staff was very nice & accommodating. However, our room was not ready until after 7:00 pm. I was promised a refund that never happened & have yet to receive a credit for a mystery charge on my card that I did not authorize.
GGuest UserWork involves odd hours and travel home sometimes is hard. Stayed instead of driving home. Hotel is older but has had renovations. Front desk staff are nice. Rooms are nice. I gave it 3 stars cause of the convenience of check in, staff, clean room. I can’t see it getting any higher star review.
GGuest UserNothing special. Kind of 'you get what you pay for.' I paid $80, I got an $80 room. I did hit a nail at some point either in their lot or up the street. The front desk was kind and helped me find a tire fixer place. There was a strong smell of weed when I was there. I hate the smell of that stuff but some people don't mind. Area is a little shady and I strongly advise against walking around alone at night. I think the 2* rating others left is accurate. This place is what it is. I have since found a better plafe to stay when I come through town.
GGuest UserThe staff is always kind and friendly. We've stayed here before and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the chesapeake/VA Beach area!
GGuest UserI was super upset that the pool was not open and then it had a sign on it from the health department…Not Cool. And the pool had this nasty film on the top yuck. The bedsheets were very comfortable though, but besides that that’s the only positive thing I can say about this hotel stay. I will not be going back here
CCreI enjoyed my stay. There was a stove and refridge if needed. Also the staff was super nice.It was $45 to check in before 12 and 25 to check in before one. I didn’t want to pay it but rest was calling me after working several 12-16 hour shifts. I was upgraded to a king room which was nice. The beds were super soft and the room was super clean. Call down to lobby to get pots and pans if needed or just bring your own. It was peaceful. The only noise I heard was people getting off elevator and walking towards their room. Other than that no complaints at all. Just a suggestion, if you have first responders, drs, nurses checking in to rest just to go back to work for several days give them that $25 early check in fee instead of $45. I wanted to stay an extra night but cut into my funds a little bit. Just for the pandemic or traveling to another hospital. I’ll be back though. I enjoyed the stay.
GGuest UserI'm not going to tell you this is the Ritz. It isn't. But for a quick stop to break up a long drive it does the trick. Conveniently located on Battlefield Blvd with plenty of food and shops. I do know it gets a little sketchy up the street so don't go walking around by yourself at night. It's a bed, TV, microwave, small fridge and a bathroom. AC worked. Front desk always been nice to me the 3 or 4 times I've been here. 2 stars seems a bit low if you set expectations realistically. For what you pay and for what it is, 3-4 stars is appropriate.
