Very neat and clean place. The host Bungo was patient and detailed, provided recommendations to sightseeing spots and even helped me to reserve a visit that needed pre booking. I like his thoughtful touch of bookmarking the restaurants on the map and sharing them with guests.
The location was roughly 15min by foot to the station but it could also depend on the weather. Western showers available all hours and a private Japanese bath in the evening and nighttime slot. Close to the Omicho market and the castle park.
I tend to be someone that leaves behind something every place I go and they helped me to stop that. Thank you Bungo and the family!

Guest UserHad a splendid stay. Although there was no parking, they suggested a nearby parking lot. Making it easy for us to take a 10 m walk to the station with plenty of food.
Was provided with very clear instructions on how to check in.
The rooms were very clean with nice furnishing. Tatami beds were very comfortable.
Maybe the only con is there are no elevators. So, if u have heavy luggages, bear in mind but they was a staff at the premise during our check in. He offered to help carry our luggages.

This was a wonderful hostel to stay at, and really made me enjoy my stay in Kanazawa. It's right in the middle, beyween the garden, the samurai district and the chaya district, so it was perfect for getting around, and very close to the train station. The people working here are super sweet and they even have some plum wine in the evenings for guests. The staff mainly stays in their sister hostel, however the hostel itself is very secure and the door is always locked. It's always nice for a quick rest as well between wandering, and there's a delicious ramen restaurant a minute walk away.

ZairiantiThe location is extremely convenient as the hotel is directly connected to Kanazawa Station. It was very easy to go everywhere since the hotel is inside the station building itself — just enter the station and take the elevator to the 3rd floor for reception.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful during the self check-in process at the machine. The room was comfortable, clean, and quite spacious. The hotel also provides luggage storage, which was very convenient while waiting for the next train schedule.
It was also very easy to find food because there are many restaurants around the station, plus a 7-Eleven convenience store nearby.

Ayu RayonPerfect accommodation!!
I arrived and the staff explain it clearly, and very helpfull. The pod is nice, for me it's quite spacious. If you have a big luggage they have some section to put it in the share room. Shower room and spa located in the B1F, I did the spa, and it's only me, maybe that was awesome quite time. The welcome drink really nice, lounge room is comfortable and accommodating for eating, drinking and working as well. And for women, they provide hair straightener, I cannot use mine because the voltage issue.

Anonymous UserThis hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

Guest UserThe location is fantastic! Although it's a bit of a walk from Kanazawa Station, the hotel is surrounded by amazing restaurants. All the eateries recommended by the official Kanazawa website are within walking distance, and the hotel is centrally located, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Since taking the bus can be a hassle, I'd recommend walking – it really doesn't take that long, haha!
The hotel environment is also perfectly fine. They don't provide slippers, but since it's a Japanese-style tatami room, you just walk on it directly, so it's no big deal. If you're particular, you can bring your own disposable slippers. Plus, the hotel cleans daily, and even the shoe cabinet is wiped clean!
Just a heads-up: you can't stay in the room during cleaning hours (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM), and check-ins aren't processed then either. You can hang out in the hotel lobby during that time, but honestly, when you're on vacation, shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself instead of waiting around?

Guest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights and Neon hotel really given us a beautiful experience in Kanazawa.
Good location that can lead you to many famous restaurants and shopping.
Well equipped especially washing machine that helped a lot for a family with kids.
The amazing bed offered me sweet dreams every night.
There is only one thing unpleasant.
When we first checked in in Hotel Kanazawa, the staff told me there is no hotel parking lot “ you have to find coin parking please “ then tried to rush me go before my next question ( even tho he was smiling)
But we found hotel parking right next to the hotel less than 1 minute walk.
Other than that everything is perfect!

The front desk staff were friendly and patient. The dining area on the first floor is small, so you might need to prepare time to eat early. They provide takeout containers for guests, and the breakfast was to your liking. The bathroom is small but acceptable; it would be safer for older people if handrails were installed next to the bathtub.

A little far from the station, 2km30min can be walked, is a Japanese-style old house, very tasteful, bathroom toilet only one, room available space is small, there are tableware kitchen utensils can be used, there is a microwave oven and oven water cooker, but also encountered three kind Taiwanese editors.
