NeelarojaThe total atmosphere was really calming and gorgeous! The interiors, every single detail of it was just wow. Not only that, the staff and service were so kind and welcoming... Moreover, the food was delicious and wholesome. Overall, the stay will make you feel like you are actually in Bali and it will be the most soothing+unforgettable experience. Sure will come again.

Anonymous UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was also good. There are plenty of dessert shops and late-night food options right across from the hotel. There is also a very famous strawberry daifuku shop nearby. The room is a little small, but considering the affordable price, everything else was quite good.
However, the soundproofing was really poor, so I would recommend this hotel with caution if you are a light sleeper.
On Saturday night, around midnight, people from 2–3 rooms next door started talking loudly in the corridor and knocking on doors repeatedly. This continued until around 12:30 AM. After we asked them to keep their voices down, they stopped talking loudly in the corridor, but we could still clearly hear repeated knocking, people kicking doors, and someone laughing very loudly. The noise was extremely loud and could be heard clearly from inside the room.
We eventually went downstairs to complain to the hotel staff, but there were still occasional door-opening and knocking noises afterward. The noise continued until around 1:00 AM.
Overall, the hotel itself was quite good, especially considering the price, but the poor soundproofing seriously affected our sleep quality.

Great location, close to 7-Eleven, a Mamak restaurant, Lotus's, and my course venue. The room price was reasonable, and it even had a fan if you didn't want to use the air conditioning. The bathroom was okay, though I wasn't a huge fan of the glass panel – it looked a bit odd, even though you could draw a curtain to cover it. But overall, it was good. It was also convenient for breaking fast, as it was near a Ramadan bazaar.

Guest UserStayed at Hotel 1969 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were polite and kind throughout our stay, especially the concierge, who also acted as our airport transfer driver. Although I did not get his name, he was very responsible and ensured we arrived at the airport on time.
We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading off, which was perfect and satisfying. The hotel location is very convenient, with many coffeeshops nearby.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return again.

Belong AnywhereThe hotel offers simple and clean accommodations, and although it is an older establishment, it is well-maintained. A cash deposit of RM50 is required, which may be inconvenient for guests who do not typically carry much cash. The presence of numerous dogs along the pavement outside can be intimidating. My room faced the road, resulting in some traffic noise. Aeon is conveniently located across the road, accessible by car, and several restaurants are situated on the same row as the hotel.

GarfieldtangFeeling great back to Mother Nature, with hens, cats, deers, parrot. This guesthouse is greenish and away from downtown. Well maintained by two helpful, friendly kakak. The room is spacious and clean, equipped with hairdryer, water heater and toiletries. Also provided free parking lot. Surprisingly, they sold my childhood snacks. Highly recommended to travellers and families in Ipoh.

carbon.lThis was my 1st time book for this hotel. Went to check in quite late was greet by they friendly and helpful staff. For a hotel around RM100 still can get 2 pax buffet breakfast i would say its generous for the hotel and staff provided. Food was good and also with some choices. Room is clean and nothing to complaint about because is a hotel around RM100. Also quite surpriise for fridge and safety box provided inside the room. Definately will stay here again if i'm staying back at Ipoh. Highly recommend for those budget was not high.

Anonymous UserWorth the price you pay! Great location, just beside the highway. Everything is clean, aircond was functioning well, the room is nice. It’s just that the small fridge is not functioning and the water pressure is kinda slow. But I don’t really mind. The front desk was also nice. I will reconsider staying at this hotel again for a short staycation.

Daniel WSLOverall Rating: ★★★☆☆
The apartment's biggest advantage is its excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options within walking distance, making it very convenient for families and larger groups. The host was responsive and replied promptly when we raised issues during our stay.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell well below our expectations. We encountered ants throughout the apartment—including the living room, sofa, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms—which made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Although the host provided insect spray after we reported the issue, the infestation was so widespread that spraying the entire apartment was neither practical nor a comfortable solution.
Several areas were dusty, the curtains had a noticeable layer of dust, and the bedsheets and toilet rolls appeared old. We were also charged RM60 for an extra bedsheet for two nights, but the condition of the bedding did not justify the additional fee. The sofa showed signs of wear, and one of the ceiling fans was noisy during operation.
For larger groups, please note that when someone showers upstairs, the downstairs bathroom cannot be used properly due to water pressure issues. We were informed that this affects every unit in the building, suggesting it is a known issue rather than an isolated incident.
The facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was unavailable during our stay and appeared to be non-functional, making it more decorative than usable.
The host initially agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee due to the cleanliness issues, but we did not receive any further update after that.
Overall, the apartment has great potential because of its strategic location, but significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, maintenance, and facility upkeep are needed before I could recommend it to others.
Pros
Excellent location with many restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby.
Responsive communication from the host.
Cons
Widespread ant infestation throughout the apartment.
Dusty environment, including dusty curtains.
Old bedsheets, worn furniture, and additional bedding charges that did not reflect the quality provided.
Noisy ceiling fan.
Water pressure issue prevents simultaneous use of upstairs and downstairs bathrooms.
Jacuzzi was not usable, just a decoration.
Compensation for the cleaning issue was promised but never followed up.
