NeelarojaThe total atmosphere was really calming and gorgeous! The interiors, every single detail of it was just wow. Not only that, the staff and service were so kind and welcoming... Moreover, the food was delicious and wholesome. Overall, the stay will make you feel like you are actually in Bali and it will be the most soothing+unforgettable experience. Sure will come again.

Anonymous UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was also good. There are plenty of dessert shops and late-night food options right across from the hotel. There is also a very famous strawberry daifuku shop nearby. The room is a little small, but considering the affordable price, everything else was quite good.
However, the soundproofing was really poor, so I would recommend this hotel with caution if you are a light sleeper.
On Saturday night, around midnight, people from 2–3 rooms next door started talking loudly in the corridor and knocking on doors repeatedly. This continued until around 12:30 AM. After we asked them to keep their voices down, they stopped talking loudly in the corridor, but we could still clearly hear repeated knocking, people kicking doors, and someone laughing very loudly. The noise was extremely loud and could be heard clearly from inside the room.
We eventually went downstairs to complain to the hotel staff, but there were still occasional door-opening and knocking noises afterward. The noise continued until around 1:00 AM.
Overall, the hotel itself was quite good, especially considering the price, but the poor soundproofing seriously affected our sleep quality.

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option. However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. They only cleaned 1. I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.
All in all, it was a decent stay. Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.

Guest UserStayed at Hotel 1969 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were polite and kind throughout our stay, especially the concierge, who also acted as our airport transfer driver. Although I did not get his name, he was very responsible and ensured we arrived at the airport on time.
We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading off, which was perfect and satisfying. The hotel location is very convenient, with many coffeeshops nearby.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return again.

宏仔 Horng.The hotel is the most affordable place to stay in Ipoh. The room is huge and has enough space for walking, and the bed is clean and comfortable enough to sleep. There are also a few places to eat along the street and the foods nearby are cheaper compared to the city centre. On the other hand, the hotel's floor is dirty, it's difficult to walk and we feel disgusted. Furthermore, the room unprovided the fridge. Lastly, the funniest place, the room provides us an ironing board but they don't provide an iron.

Anonymous UserFind a fantastic standalone vacation home;
There is a small zoo· 🦌🦜🐒🐓;
There is a small library and reception room 📖;
There is purified water and a small kitchen;
You can also ask the front desk Indonesian girl for feed to feed small animals.
The standalone building we stayed in has two bedrooms and one living room.
The family lives comfortably together. The boss can communicate fluently in both Chinese and English.
Communicate via WhatsApp before check-in, fortunately send invitation letter.
It's very ceremonial!

Anonymous UserIt was ok, very basic. Lots of drinking water.
Cons:
- Bathroom could do with upkeep, massive hole between door and door frame. Should be a full sized door. Not hygienic.
- Two single beds but they are tiny. Not comfortable for two adults to sleep in.
- Small TV, not even a modern TV. For hotels price, should at least have a decent TV.
- Soundproofing not great but was quiet during our time.
- music in hallways was kept on all night, we had to tell them to turn it off...
- we could smell smoke inside our room & bathroom from other people smoking in their rooms
- Breakfast was AWFUL, even if included it's better to go out for food. Hygiene in buffet for breakfast was poor, with flies in the fruit and salad.
- Front desk staff not very supportive or helpful.

Everything about this hotel is great, except it's right next to the highway, which makes it incredibly noisy. I couldn't sleep all night because of the constant traffic. The soundproofing is really, really bad.
They even provided earplugs, which says a lot! 😂
The room decor is stylish and the mattress is excellent, but it's just so, so loud...
Cleanliness: Both the toilet and the room were very clean.

Daniel WSLOverall Rating: ★★★☆☆
The apartment's biggest advantage is its excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options within walking distance, making it very convenient for families and larger groups. The host was responsive and replied promptly when we raised issues during our stay.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell well below our expectations. We encountered ants throughout the apartment—including the living room, sofa, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms—which made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Although the host provided insect spray after we reported the issue, the infestation was so widespread that spraying the entire apartment was neither practical nor a comfortable solution.
Several areas were dusty, the curtains had a noticeable layer of dust, and the bedsheets and toilet rolls appeared old. We were also charged RM60 for an extra bedsheet for two nights, but the condition of the bedding did not justify the additional fee. The sofa showed signs of wear, and one of the ceiling fans was noisy during operation.
For larger groups, please note that when someone showers upstairs, the downstairs bathroom cannot be used properly due to water pressure issues. We were informed that this affects every unit in the building, suggesting it is a known issue rather than an isolated incident.
The facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was unavailable during our stay and appeared to be non-functional, making it more decorative than usable.
The host initially agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee due to the cleanliness issues, but we did not receive any further update after that.
Overall, the apartment has great potential because of its strategic location, but significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, maintenance, and facility upkeep are needed before I could recommend it to others.
Pros
Excellent location with many restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby.
Responsive communication from the host.
Cons
Widespread ant infestation throughout the apartment.
Dusty environment, including dusty curtains.
Old bedsheets, worn furniture, and additional bedding charges that did not reflect the quality provided.
Noisy ceiling fan.
Water pressure issue prevents simultaneous use of upstairs and downstairs bathrooms.
Jacuzzi was not usable, just a decoration.
Compensation for the cleaning issue was promised but never followed up.
