The hotel is located within a university campus, a bit far from the city center. The environment and facilities are acceptable. The breakfast selection is average, but all items are quite good, especially the vegetable platter, which was delicious. With such a beautiful view, I initially thought the food would be mediocre, but Dongluyuan's dining truly impressed us. Local ingredients combined with the chef's fusion cuisine skills resulted in two days of trying various dishes on the menu, all of which were delightful surprises! The Chinese restaurant was particularly outstanding! The Western restaurant also had a wonderful atmosphere; the kiln-baked pizza oven was perfectly heated, and the pizza crust was perfectly fermented—better than many chain restaurants! The service was impeccable, with attentive butler service. All our needs were met quickly, and the gentle attitude made us feel very comfortable. The room offers stunning views of the Taihang Mountains and Taihang Pavilion. If I had to make a suggestion, I'd appreciate a separate shower and toilet area in the bathroom, a humidifier for winter, and a chair and small table on the balcony – such a beautiful view would be perfect for two people to enjoy tea together.
