Stockholm Spa Hotels

Great location, central to the train station and various points of interest.  The hotel lobby is very nice, but the rooms could do with updating. Shout out to housekeeping. They were very efficient and cleaned the room to an excellent standard! The Hotel Sauna was very disappointing, the light was broken and the heater wasn’t even hot? Frustrating for a 5* Hotel.

Based on some work colleagues suggestions I tried the Grand hotel for my latest visit to Stockholm. Not coming back to this hotel. Having been at the Eat Hem, the Sheraton Stockholm and the Miss Clara, this Grand is at the bottom of all of them. The rooms are small, the temperature inside them is freezing and the heating system is turned off, the service is poor and the food at the restaurants is extremely average. When I asked for a recommendation for a nice place for lunch they suggested the TAK. Absolutely disgusting restaurant, old, dirty and horrible combination of Swedish and Japanese (both cuisine I love, but not in this format). Lastly, due to a change of my business plans at last minute, I asked the front desk (Ylva) for a couple of hours delay on the check out. They came back stating that, if I wanted it, I would need to pay 30% more. 2 hours for 30% of the full day rate. What a special treat! When I complained about all what was wrong during my stay, 5 minutes later they came back to offer me the 2-3 hour extension for free, once I had already come out of my room. In summary, unpleasant stay, horrible experience in an hotel situated in a special location of one of my preferred cities. What a pity!

This hotel was clean, easy to get to and room was comfortable. Arguably these are the most important things when booking a hotel so I'll start with that. The breakfast was also excellent. Where this hotel falls down is with amenities. I booked this hotel because it included a spa/pool - this was the sole point that separated it from other hotels. The expedia listing doesn't mention that there's a surcharge or that you need to book specific time slots, despite it (incorrectly) having ”(surcharge)” next to things like wifi. The second picture is also showing off the spa. So it was a bit disappointing to find that not only would I have to pay £20 each time to use the spa but also that I the only time I could book was 11am one day. It made the hotel feel like a bit of a rip off and, personally, I think it's false advertising. It was one of the things I was most excited for on my trip and I didn't even get to use that facility. On top of that the wifi (no surcharge, despite what the listing says) didn't work until the final morning of my trip which is quite annoying. I'm not sure I'd stay here again unless they included entrance to the spa to stop it feeling like they're ripping me off.

The location of Haymarket by Scandic is brilliant, with most of the city centre shopping and travel within a few minutes walk. Pretty location just by a colourful and lively market square. The rooms are quite small, and the ones facing Kungsgatan (a busy street 24/7) quite noisy. ' The beds are very good quality and very comfortable. There was a small wardrobe with room for 6-7 hangers for clothes but no shelves or drawers to unpack suitcases. In a small room it was a bit awkward to have to have your suitcases open on the floor to access your clothes. Overall decor quite nice but quite a few loose fittings and bits & pieces in the room (skirting boards, curtain rails) so maintenance seems to have been a bit neglected. Room cleaning was OK, and when you are asked at check-in if you want your room cleaned, remember that you need to ask for this even if you just want the (very small) bins emptied every day. No cleaning means nothing is done to your room at all, which doesn't really work. There should be an option to just to get bins emptied, mini-bar and coffee/tea stocked up. Very good breakfast buffet, with plenty of choice. Prompt service during the week for breakfast but very crowded and busy during the weekend with with empty buffet trays and bowls waiting to be refilled, and guests directed to ”overflow” tables outside the restaurant area far from the buffet. The rack rate is a bit high, I think, unless you are willing to pay just for the location and convenience of being so near everything. A 50% discount via an airline booking was very good value though! I'll happily return, but will try and get a quieter room away from the main street.

An amazing hotel in a beautiful city. Love the schedule of activities from movie nights, relaxation reading in the hanging space to bike hire to name a few. Definitely coming back! Fantastic family rooms with pull down bunks. Great for a family of 4.

My partner and I tacked on some vacation time in Stockholm in advance of a work trip. We chose this hotel due to the location and ratings. We were extremely impressed with the amenities, utilized the sauna/cold plunge spa, and the decently appointed gym. We ended up getting in very early and were provided a room immediately. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We don't have a single negative thing to say about our stay. The only improvement would be better pillows, but that's just personal preference. The location is fantastic and there is much to see within a short walk. The National Museum is right across the harbor, church, Nobel Prize museum, Royal House, Parliament building, etc. You can walk about 20 minutes to the Vasa Museum, and the others in that area. Public transit is very accessible, even the ferries. 10/10 would recommend.

This hotel is super central right next to the central station, walking into the lobby it is very large and filled with music that makes you happy. The staff at the front desk is among the most professional and welcoming I have experienced in Scandinavia. They provided us with all the info we needed and reminded us to book a slot for the next mornings breakfast with a QR code. The room was at the 10th floor and had walk to ceiling windows with a great view of the park. The bed was very inviting and the window area had two comfortable chairs and a table for us to enjoy our evening. Even tho the bathroom looked a bit older it was super spacious and Had both a tub and a shower. A plus also that we had ironing board and an iron nicely tucked away in the room. All tho it was very hot in the city that day the room was cool and comfortable and we didn’t hear any noice from outside or the hall witch is great. There was a cute bar area outside right next to the spa I wan recommend having a drink there. We also tried a burger in the restaurant and it was not to bad. The breakfast was impressing! So many options and you could even choose if you wanted well done bacon or a bit softer style. The buffet was split into two areas making it feel spacious and not that busy. The slot times was a great idea as you can enjoy breakfast without hundreds of people and easy to find a table. Plus for a waffle station with 4 irons! All in all this hotel is a great option when staying in Stockholm! I would gladly come back. Left with a smile!

The breakfast is good, you can bring children, mostly adults, the location of the hotel is great, there is no parking lot. The surrounding attractions are relatively concentrated, self-driving is not recommended, and the parking fee is very expensive.

I always stay at Diplomat when I am in Stockholm. The welcome is very professional, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is excellent and the restaurant offers a wide ranging menu. Ill be back.

Lovely hotel, second stay here and both times were wonderful, thanks to excellent room and helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast, vegan and gluten free options as well. Easy access to city center by metro, or walk about 3km. Supermarket downstairs and another 200m away. Only thing missing was minibar/mini-fridge, would have been plenty of room for one in the room.
