Stone Town Hotels with Free Breakfast

Great place in stonetown, Zanzibar. Lovely rooms, with clean, well equipped washrooms. Small but nice rooftop pool, great breakfast buffet with an excellent fresh fruit selection and good location- close to the ferry stations and to the night market. Only complaint is the live music at the rooftop restaurant. It’s loud and distracting from an otherwise great experience. I hope to stay here again!

There are not many places to go shopping in Stone Town on Sand Island. The rooms here are relatively small. If you think you want to live at this price level, there are a lot of surrounding areas, but the conditions are more general and the price/performance ratio is not very high. The hotels in Africa are generally better than those in Southeast Asia. It’s quite expensive. The table in the room is dusty. As a Hilton, I shouldn’t. It can be seen that this hotel spent a lot of money in the past, but the decoration is outdated. Only the bed and pillows are very comfortable, because on the island, there are still some Humid, the hotel has its own scent, but I don’t like it very much, and there is no swimming pool in this hotel

Watch out when booking at this hotel! We arranged an airport transfer upon arrival and transfer to our next Zanzibar hotel for a few days later in advance with Tembo House. While the transfer from the airport went fine, the next transfer to our next hotel was outright scam by the reception guys. To the hotel: we know you have cameras in every angle. Check out when we checked out at 10:15 on Sept, the 14th. We paid our drinks and food by card for check-out. When I asked if we could pay the transfer to our next stay in Zanzibar with the hotel the reception said yes. Surprisingly this payment had to be made in cash rather than by credit card like the final bill at check-out. So we paid 103.500 Tanzanian Shilling to the reception guy (check your cameras at the second reception desk at the main reception). We received a handwritten receipt for the transfer payment. At 13:30 (check your cameras), the time we arranged the transfer, my wife asked at the reception if our driver had already arrived. The same reception guy took our receipt from her and promised to give „a new one“. Meanwhile we were shown to a driver. In the taxi we were sceptical whether the driver knew that the drive had been already paid. He didn’t know anything so I went back to the hotel reception (check your cameras) to request the promised receipt. The reception guy went to the driver and gave him 100.000 Tanzanian Shilling (and kept 3.500 for himself), instead of the receipt (!!!). He obviously (!) planned to keep all the amount and let us drive with the driver so we would have had to pay the amount again! This is outright scam and we hope that this will have consequences for those reception guys before other people fall for this scam. As it seems two reception guys and the luggage guy were involved in this scam. Also, besides, we gave 20.000 Tanzanian Shilling as tip for the whole team to one of the two reception guys. Most likely this money went into the pockets of the reception guy alone (check your cameras) instead of into a team tip box. This hotel would have deserved 4 stars (if there was not this strange smell in the room) but it is not acceptable to be scammed on such a way. So stay away from this hotel!!!

Great location From Zanzibar to Dar es Salem in front of Ferry Terminal Baru, It's convenient. I was happy that the lip reception manager welcomed me. I went to my family. I booked 2 rooms and thank the friendly staff for arranging the room next to my room. There is a fresh fish market nearby. You can walk to it. If you go to Zanzibar the next opportunity It is hotel which wants furniture again I ordered breakfast. I have boiled eggs with fruit and cheese. I ordered The fruit is fresh and the omelet is definitely recommended

Good location, right at the beach, convenient by boat. With a sense of history, the rooms are beautiful and clean. Breakfast is average. Recommended balcony with sea view. The scenery is first class and beautiful.

The hotel itself is a nice ancient building. The food was also very good. Slight disappointments: we were two adults with one child but no bed for the kid (despite the request) so we had to sleep all in one bed. Moreover, though the beach looks very fine, it is unfortunately very dirty with petrol rejections from boats (I just felt happy that my son did not remove his shoes on the beach). Average experience with the team: long waiting time at the restaurant (careful with kids), although, again, it is very good. Upon departure the receptionist was « forcing » to come for check out (3 calls in 10 minutes) which I found really disagreeable (considering that we were in the check out timing and no delay). Conclusion : convenient for 2/3 nights max to visit stone town but would not spend more.

I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.

Cet hôtel est idéalement bien placé dans le vieux stone Town,au milieu des petites ruelles avec ses petites boutiques,près du bord de mer et de ses bons restaurants et du port pour les excursions,nous y sommes restés 2 jours entièrement suffisant pour visiter la ville où on est vite fatigué d être sollicités sans arrêt par des vendeurs des boutiques ou autre …L accueil est très sympathique,on est venu nous chercher à l aéroport pour 20 dollars,15 minutes de transfert .Les chambres sont spacieuses et très originales nous avons beaucoup aimé nous avions une chambre supérieure,bon rapport qualité prix ,bon petit-déjeuner sur le toi terrasse.L hôtel organise des transferts a bon prix.Pour nous les points négatifs :la literie très dure et la douche :peu d eau .

One night in a quick three-day trip to Zanzibar. Wished I could have stayed longer at the Park Hyatt. I had an ocean view room. Great view, quiet location, could hear the quiet sounds of the waves at night, even though closed doors. Great food, good facilities, excellent overall experience.

The beautiful Zanzibar Island has a sea in front of Baru If you take a walk in the morning, it's close. There are a lot of fruits like pineapple in the morning Make your own omelette with various ingredients I like hot toast and cooking The restaurant is nice by the pool on the first floor I was very impressed with the restaurant staff I was happy to speak Korean at the front desk Ex) Oh ㅠㅠ Close to the city and close to the night market If I go to Zanzibar again, I will definitely go back to the hotel. The room is very big ~
