It was our first visit just some days ago in the Chateau de L'ile and we will surely stay here again if we visit the area again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The whole place seemed to be quite out of time and space in a positive way. Very quiet inmidst a park and close to the river yet close to the tramway (7 min walk) to go into the city of Strasbourg. The breakfast was very good for France, witth variety of sausages, eggs, cheese and salmon as well as youghurt, jam, sweet things, cereal. Breakfast until 10:30 a.m. was also very much appreciated;-) The rooms were tidy and clean and there was even a refrigerator. Bathroom with shower and bathtub and all amenities. Check out until 12:00 a.m. is also very nice for vacationers like us. We did not eat in the Restaurant this time but heard from other guests that it is very good. The only thing which we didn't like is that we could not open the window in the night due to many moskitos. Which was a pity as the air outside was so fresh and cooling. However they told us at check-out they will have a solution for that very soon.

Not talking dirt in the bunks (thankfully) but for as new as it seems, the shared spaces are rough. Bathrooms look rough, half the soap and dryers don’t work (not a good thing for hygiene obviously), the showers were always covered in water and hot water, up for debate. Next, the place is loud. Not hostel, a few people are chatting loud and certainly not 8pm, like the room was basically in the bar and the bar was busy (see next item) till after 1. Sure, we could have closed the window to help a bit but with no other airflow in the room, it’s a choice between super loud and hot/stuffy. Loud won. Last off, during my stay, they were hosting an event which meant a ton of people hanging around. Now the event was for a great purpose and that’s awesome and everyone was friendly too but it still meant the bar was basically taken over by locals who knew each other and filled up the community spaces, instead of a traveler or even a general bar vibe. Not a thrilling thing to find out after checking in. All that said, staff was great, super friendly when I checked in and around the place. The bar / restaurant is well done with a nice range of options and decent prices though I didn’t find the breakfast worth the buffet cost. Like the other locations, rooms are nicely done, bunks have good curtains, power, lights, all the makings of a 10/10, but not.

The room was a normal size and the bed was comfortable. Some of the furnishing seemed a bit worn but nothing serious just cosmetic. The shower was lovely. Location is good, only 10mins walk from the main part of Strasbourg there is also a tram stop right outside the hotel which is very convienient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room got cleaned every morning.

We had a twin room. It seems like all twin rooms face the train track so we could hear the sound a few times in the evening. Good quality toiletries are provided. The tram stop is 500 metres walk and we prefer to take Uber or bolt which is just about 10 euros one way. Strasbourg is well known for its gastronomy. Eat well here! I highly recommend L’eveil des Sens! Take a day trip to Colmar or stay a night there. Hotel let us leave our luggage overnight and we packed a bag pack to Colmar for a night.

This hotel location was very clean calming area but 11 minutes far from the centre by train,the staff were friendly and helpful,the room was clean with good breakfast in the morning,but the only problem I really didn't like it was the toilet,the toilet was extremely small, very very small that we couldn't take shower at all because the water was getting outside of the toilet to the sleeping room,I wish if we had good toilet to feel comfortable in the place, otherwise it was really good experience as it was first time to Straßburg,we really love the city and we enjoyed alot. We chose this hotel for economic reasons. The fact that the only night staying and having a car was that it was not meaningful to spend the ”did” figures they ask in the hotels in the centre of Strasbourg, because the King Soleil is in the noise and if you don't have your own means, I would say that it is very unrecommendable: it is a four-star average, perhaps overpriced, but in Strasbourg it is so. It is excellent to park in garage for only 5 euros, but also wanting to avoid this small amount, The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. We had left packs to be kept in a freezer, and had to store a low temperature medicine in a refrigerator bag. And no, lovely, you don't do that! Raise the c. and go to you to pick them up, don't send us the client, even because you could quietly leave the post, being accompanied by another colleague. Or, as an alternative, remove the ”Prestige” not deserved from the hotel's name.

Very comfortable hotel - great staff - I needed two nights for a relatively short stay (at the front and back ends of a bike trip) - and the staff accommodated all my needs very well, including storing my bike bag for 10 days and preparing a ”go bag” for my meal.

ne of the best, cleanest, tidiest and stuff-friendly hotels I've been to! The hotel looks like new. Everything is very clean. The rooms are big (we stayed in a double-bed room), very well designed and structured and one of the most useful details not seen in most hotels is the bench for suitcases so that you may take out your personal belongings without bending. Very well thought! The breakfast was so good that I didn't have to eat until late afternoon 🙂 The location is perfect for anyone, especially for travellers because it's not far from the highway. The room insulation is excellent as well. I had the privilege to meet the owner and had a nice chat with him. I cannot highly recommend the hotel! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
