It is in an ideal place for trips to the local areas, but not in the centre of Stratford upon Avon.
The food could have been hotter for my palate, but acceptable. The staff were extremely friendly.
There were a couple of ******* with our room, which we informed the staff about - hopefully they take note.

16th Century building (road side inn).. Re-modernized, with rooms to let..
Very atmospheric pub and restaurant, esp for Christmas time.
Nice touches that bring out the features of the building, esp the the indoor water well.
Room are good, may need some further modernization but very functional.
Incredibly narrow corridors and stairwell. (can see traffic jams happening)

We had a great two night stay and enjoyed breakfast and evening meals.
The menu is much better than your normal pub food and the Indian dishes are worth trying.
Cannot be faulted for the comfort of the bedrooms bar and restaurant, service provided by the staff and quality of the food and drink

Enjoyed our overnight stay at this lovely pub. Food was really good in the evening. Breakfast we thought was average as the evening meal had been such good quality. Rooms were comfortable with a lovely view to watch the sunrise. Not sure about the towels being 'thrown' on the bed, maybe its a new thing. One concern we did have was when we went down for early morning stroll we could not get out without going through a fire exit as the door to the restaurant was locked. Very unnerving thinking that it was locked whilst in bed. Other than that it was lovely

The carpet was dirty, the room was freezing cold. Arrived after 10pm and the heating was turned off and the windows were wide open. No mat in the bathroom, no handtowels, only 2 big towels on the bed.

Lovely place to eat, drink, stay. We were there for 2 nights and enjoyed every aspect of the place. Looked after by a great team. Food was delicious and so varied. Local talented musicians entertain evenings during the week. Very comfortable room and facilities. Thoroughly recommend a stay at The Blue Boar Inn.

Recently visited The Blue Boar Inn with my partner and we had such a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely incredible, I had the Indian menu and my partner had the pub classic menu. We are big fans of onion bhajis and the bhajis we ordered did not disappoint. We ordered the steak burger which was tasty and filling, and also the butter chicken curry, which was packed with so much flavour (my partner liked it too, and he doesn't usually like butter chicken)! We ended our meal with a chocolate gateau and lemon tart, both absolutely divine. The staff were extremely welcoming and very attentive throughout our meal, and the pub itself is very pleasant.

A warm welcome by friendly staff. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Excellent full English breakfast and delicious evening meals. Lovely outdoor seating and conservatory, all with beautiful plants. The bar was busy with locals, which is always a good sign !
