Superficially updated MOTEL with clever marketing pictures that don't tell the whole truth or deliver promises.
The Brockport Econo Lodge was chosen by us for the price point when looking at the final cost of our entire itenerary. That was a mistake that will not be made again.
Good: Easy to find, not that far from Rochester (if you are used to Houston, TX distances), well lit, updated security system (all cameras working), very close to food, shopping and downtown Brockport. Breakfast was provided and the staff was very friendly.
Bad: Basically this is an older motel that has been updated superficially but would need major rehab to be able to compete with the property next door. The room was unsealed so whatever the weather is outside is also inside. Same goes for connected door and thin walls. Sadly, we had neighbors who couldn't live without their TV on and we were able to hear their shows and what they thought of them moment by moment (hotel wasn't responsible for them but something to be aware of). Stains and mildew were present everywhere. Water pressure was extremely low and was confirmed during our neighbors commercial break conversations.
We stayed one night and checked out first thing in the morning to pay for a room at the Best Western next to the Rochester Airport which was also 2 stars and an actual HOTEL.
