The hotel was so convenient. Just around the corner from eye hospital. Husband had surgery. Loved the kitchen facilities we heated our dinner didn’t have to go out at night looking for food

First of all, its location is very good, many places can be reached by foot, and there are few Chinese people staying in it, most of them are foreigners. Overall, I think it is good, the place is big for the city. I didn't try its breakfast, so I don't know how it is. It said that there is a kitchen, but you can't cook, there is only a microwave.

The front desk service is very good. If you join the membership plan, you can late check out.

It is a relatively cost-effective hotel. The location of the hotel is not too far from anywhere. It is relatively central. The street is very quiet. The hotel is very quiet, and the service of the lady at the front desk is also very enthusiastic, which made me feel at home after a long journey. Although the interior decoration of the room is not particularly brilliant, it is very clean and tidy, so it can meet my requirements as a business trip.

The room was dirty when we checked in. There was literally an entire face print of make up on the headboard of the bed.Despite advertising online they offer flavoured syrups to go with the pod coffees in room, they had no syrup and ran out of normal pods after our first night and could only provide decaf. For the price paid for this room I would have expected much better than this.

We had a lot of trouble getting anyone to answer the phone at the front desk, tried for three hours before arrival but just gave up in the end. Arrived in pouring rain and there are 7 steps to get into the property, no parking out the front but we did at any rate, too wet to care, disabled entrance is on Phillip St so we found out later. Had to use Wilson parking next door which is so tight no two cars can pass each other and the rate is $70 a night during the week. No lift access on the weekend so we had to walk down the ramps to level 5 with our luggage, not great when you are disabled. Nice rooms but not much in the way of amenities, which was disappointing. No room service or attached dining room or café. Not very impressed.

A joke in terms of basic customer service , down on business for a 7 night stay , will be spending time in the room working ; A diminishing supply of coffee pods , rationed to 2 pods , then 1 pod then zero pods No refills of the cheap Nescafe No refills of any teas Empty body wash for 3 days Drink a red wine … no refill Please make up the room sign nothing Put lock on the door explains I am on a teams call , insists on changing the bed and making as much noice as possible I am an Accor member and this service is just woeful Good location , but far better places to stay

The Sebel, Sydney Martin Place is a very nice hotel. The recent refurbishment of the property was very well done, with my room being well appointed and spacious. To be honest, it was much better than I expected. I will happily return to this hotel in the future.

The morning I was due in Sydney to stay at The Sebel Sydney Martin Place, the hotel cancelled my confirmed booking. The original hotel booking was made & confirmed by the hotel over a month ago. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating to have a non-refundable booking cancelled on the day of arrival like this! I’ve travelled regularly on business for over 15 years and have never had such an awful hotel booking experience. Will never stay with Sebel hotels again, and will actively discourage others to do so. As an Accor Live member, it’s even more so disappointing in the brand

Room initially appeared well presented with good basic amenities and good central location for what we needed. Bathroom with large shower and good water pressure. Bed comfy.Front reception staff friendly and helpful. Parking close by (although a bit of a rabbit warren to get to / from car park, you also may need to tell parking staff that you a a guest of the hotel to get in as it also has public parking and fills up). The negatives I noted that bedside table had a couple marks (looked greasy/ hadn’t been cleaned properly) otherwise the room appeared clean to me. The tea and coffee looked like it was skimped (box showing 4 pods of coffee only had one). Friend in different room had similar experience and their soap was empty. Heard another guest complain about the cleanliness of their room to front reception whilst I was waiting in the lobby. For me the real surprise was being charged for things I didn’t use in the minibar. I rang them once I was home and reception told me it wasn’t an error, and the bill would remain (however they said ‘we will check’). I had one drink, not 3… unless I drank them whilst asleep! This is actually the action which motivated me to review this hotel, so others know to be careful. The charge won’t break my bank account but I feel like I have been shortchanged. I think all the issues with the hotel are with housekeeping, I won’t stay again though due to the minibar charges. If the housekeeping improved (cleanliness, refilling consumables and not charging guests for items not used) it has potential to be a nice hotel.

In Sydney for a wedding very central to where the wedding was held, reception staff fantastic and that's where it stops. Bath room amenities were almost empty as nothing came out when you tried to use it, just as well we took our own, the day we arrived there was only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper, as that did not take long to use I went down to ask for some more so was given one roll even though there was room for 2 rolls on the roll holders, so as they did not replace even the empty holder I went out and bought my own. Another thing they left one face washer for two people and one day they didn't leave any. So top marks for front desk staff and I would give a minus mark to house keeping staff

Very average and difficult to work out where to go. The entry closest to Martin Place has an intercom and you can’t hear a thing. The bathroom was very tired and the water pressure was terrible. Overpriced for what it is…. Was a Travelodge prior, so that gives you an idea of the standard.

Make sure you have a credit card as they wont take cash . There is no room service or breakfast available, all but one nearby coffee shops were closed on a sunday. Its basically a high rise motel, clean if a bit shabby . Bed was comfortable though . Parking at a cost in the parking station next door.

Stayed here for 3 nights prior to a conference held at another hotel out of the city. I have nothing bad to say about this, rooms fine and the hotel is well located in the legal district. There is no in-house restaurant, so room service/breakfast provided by a nearby cafe-did not try it. On request, they extended my check-out time by an hour, and stied our bags at no charge. Note: I am an Accor program member, so will generally stay in this 'family' of establishments.
