Although my room was very nice and what I expected, unfortunately my overall experience was not very pleasant at this hotel. The staff at the front desk was not only rude, they actually suggested that I find another hotel during check-in because I pointed out a fee discrepancy (credit card surcharges) that was not disclosed during my booking reservation on Trip.com app. Meriton properties doesn’t disclose before, during, or after the reservation (Trip.com) that a credit card usage fee will be added, and that’s dishonest in my opinion. What’s disappointing is the attitude I get for pointing out Meriton’s mistake. First they pointed to the sign on the front desk, however I didn’t make this reservation while standing in their front lobby. Second, they said I should have booked on their website next time where it’s disclosed—perhaps then Trip.com should remove them from their approved hotel list. Finally, to learn of the policy while I check-in by pointing to a sign at the front desk, and then being told that if I don’t like the policy that “I can checkout and take my business elsewhere”, was the last straw and is the definition of horrible customer service and poor resolution management. They could have handled this issue differently and just said, “we will look into it and try to do a better job of informing our customers of our policy online. We apologize for this miscommunication.” They did email me afterwards with an apology but they still didn’t acknowledge their dishonesty in not disclosing their credit card usage fee on Trip.com app.

They had 3 lifts and one was down, shard by the guests and car park users so you can imagine the wait time was like forever as many others mentioned. The longest I had waited for was 2 mins. The rooms were pretty worn and apparently needed big renovation. My son has sensitive skin and it was soon reflected the cleanliness of the carpets and curtains were quite bad. He had rashes 15 mins after entering the room. I didn’t expect such problem given it’s an expensive apartment. Otherwise the location is great, easily accessible to the attractions.

I stayed at Meriton for 9 nights with my son in Oct 2022. The location is excellent, with the Townhall train station & light rail located within 2mins walk from the building. There is also a Woolworths next block. The major shopping district is within less than a minute walk / located at the next light rail station, QVB station. One of my biggest pet peeve, are the lifts, there are 3 of them and they run from carpark levels all the way till the top floor which is probably in the 50s, we had to wait really long to take the lifts. Meriton apparently leases out their carpark lots too, hence the wait for the lifts is even longer during weekends when there’s a mix of the existing room guests, new guests checking in with their luggages as well as the people picking up their cars from the carpark. It’s just a hot mess. Meriton should really consider segregating the lifts to serve different floors. And have the people who are picking up their cars, to use other lifts instead of main lobby lifts. I like how the room is equipped with a Washer & dryer, was able to have clean set of clothings everyday. I couldn’t start the dryer, called for help and had to wait more than 30mins, the handyman only came after my second call. Although I stayed at the property for 9 nights, the room-keeping was very basic , just a change of new set of towels, bed was made, disposal of rubbish and replenishment of condiments (like coffee, creamery and sugar) and bathing supplies. No vacuuming of floor or washing of the bathroom, hence the room is dusty and the bathroom especially the rubber tubings surrounding the glass door has mould too. Also, the frequency of house-keeping was inconsistent, initially was once every 3 days for first 6 days and then it became everyday. In conclusion, it’s still an excellent place to stay because of strategic location but do manage your expectations when it’s comes to the upkeep of the rooms, the hotel lifts and level of services. By the way, when I was there, the hotel lobby was undergoing renovation, so hopefully the lift situations improve.

Very good. Stayed here for 11 days. It was very convenient and comfortable. Life? Shopping and going to major attractions are very convenient. It is within walking distance.

The location is good, a few minutes to the train station and shopping is also convenient.

The room has a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. It is very convenient to buy ingredients and simply process them at the supermarket downstairs! The washing machine and dryer are also very convenient to use. The location is very good, very close to Sydney Tower and Hyde Park.

MERITON cannot get the room card in advance, it must be at 3pm. You can store your luggage, (not staying for a full week) no cleaning... we deal with the garbage ourselves every day. The reason why I chose this hotel is that I stayed in Gold Coast before and it was pretty good. Ask the front desk for shampoo and shower gel, bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, I wanted to use a pen (but found there was no refill) This is the first time I came across it, mainly because the location is good. It is easy to get in and out. There are many food and shopping malls nearby, and the T8 station is nearby... It goes directly to the airport. It has been a week and the hotel deposit has not been refunded... It's so slow...

The location is very good. There is a big supermarket right outside. It is also very close to Victoria. It is very convenient for eating and shopping. The room is also very large and the washing machine is relatively clean.

The hotel is more dilapidated but the victory is in the city center, within a street there are two stations one is gadigal and one is town hall, in fact, pitt street forward is already QVB, take the tram three stops to the opera house, two It's really convenient to stand to China Town!

Excellent location, convenient transportation, but the windows are not soundproof, and you can hear clearly if someone honks outside
