Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay

Stayed for 3 nights from December 31, 2024 to January 3, 2025. Because it was the New Year holiday, the price was ridiculously expensive. It was usually more than 1,000, and it rose to more than 4,000 during the New Year holiday. That's it. The key experience was too bad. The hotel is really just in a relatively good location. It's close to the Circular Quay. The rest is really hard to describe. The room is not big and the decoration is also very average. The most important thing is the bathroom, which is small and poorly decorated. It is simply the configuration of a guest house as described on the Internet. What's worse is the hygiene. On the first night of check-in, I found that there were uncleaned hair on the floor, door and walls of the bathroom. There were also hairs on the bath towels, and the bath towels were relatively old and hard. There were only two bath towels for two guests in a room. This is the hotel that provides the least bath towels I have ever stayed in. I called the customer service number to send two more, but I found that the lower bath towel had several hairs on the two bath towels that were sent. The ventilation system in the bathroom is even worse. As long as one person takes a shower, the bathroom is full of fog, and the mirror, table and door are all damp. It is impossible to dissipate without a few hours. The air conditioner in the room is also too loud. I also reported this to the customer service, but there was no follow-up response. When I booked the room, it was mandatory to book for a minimum of three nights. On the last night, I went to the front desk and asked for a one-hour delay in check-out the next day, but was refused. They said that the rooms were tight. However, I stayed at Shangri-La for the first three nights, and it was the peak period for New Year's Eve there, so they readily agreed to delay it to 12:00. I was speechless.

Pros: Location, two minutes walk to the pier, you can take a boat to various beaches, and the Sydney Opera House is within 10 minutes walk. Cons: Three-star configuration, five-star price. The coffee is instant, the towels are hard, the minibar is empty, the housekeeping is also very simple, and the Christmas tree is also perfunctory. It really faces south, and I don’t feel the effort and sincerity in other aspects at all.
