Great location in the heart of the city, but Wi-Fi only available in the bar area which is on the ground floor. It's a bit of a hassle if you need internet in your room. No hair dryer available.

The hotel is rather inexpensive compared to Sydney regular hotels because the prices here in general is really high when booking Ibis chain can go over usd100 per night This hotel is aud 80 only and have nice spacious room However reception is hard to find when you are here earlier than 12pm and you need to expect sleeping after midnight when the pubs downstairs closed around 11pm or 12am at weekends So it’s cheaper for a reason

Excellent location in the CBD within walking distance to nearest train and tram stations. There's a grocery store in the train station that opens until 10pm No reception, the pub counter is the reception. Barkeep was kind enough to let me check in earlier as the room was ready at that time Shared bathroom has separate for mens and ladies Event hall downstairs (lvl 3) can be very loud when there's party esp in weekends so RIP good night sleep. Other than that this hotel is perfect for the price

Clean room, clean bathroom, towels changed every day. There is some noise from the street at night coming into the room. Reasonable price

Noisy. They have a music private bar in the second floor and if they use it theen you wont sleep until 1am. Other than that, the place ia good.

Above Wynyard station in CBD, big room with microwave, fridge etc. sink in room but toilet and shower in corridor, but sparking clean. Comfy bed and $100 only in centre of Sydney. Can only recommend and will stay there again.

Great location close by city CBD Wynyard train station. Easy to get around, great city sights and sceneries, convenient for shoppers.

Location is super good as it is just like 2-minutes walk away from subway station. If one is ok with shared bathroom, can give this hotel a try.

Best value for the price and location. On the last day of our stay, my brother said there's broken glasses on the floor of men's toilet (shower room), he stepped on it and had a cut, he's lucky it did not hurt him bad. He swiped the pieces of glasses to the corner before we check out. He'll give it a 2.5 star because of the broken glasses. My sister would rate a 4 star, the hotel offers free baggage storage for us. For me, I am REALLY HAPPY for my stay in Occidental Hotel, therefore I would recommend it to budget travellers in groups. 5 star for the price and location.

Basic hotel. Clean but kind of dark because of not much lighting. Located closed to train station. It was ok.

Room was very nice, comfortable and spacious,very popular location with trains and local food business close by,close to the waters of Sydney,had some.small trouble with the shower flooding and wetting all my clothes and such and a very angry guest kicking at our door and scaring my son and I awake that made me feel unsafe and unsecured as a woman with a young child I think that's understandable but everything else was really value for money.The room was undoubtedly clean and fresh would probably definitely stay again as long as the late night door kicker isn't present
