Hotels near 7-Eleven, Taichung

I took my child to stay in July, but when I returned to Hong Kong, I found that the charging plug was forgotten. Later, I communicated with the hotel through email, and the hotel quickly replied that they found the charging head and could send it back at their own expense. First-class service, responsive to requests! The hotel has a parking lot, and parking spaces are reserved according to the order of guests.

One of my favourite hotel!! Breakfast is very nice with a lot of options to choose. Love that there is TV in the toilet. The room is spacious for 4 adults. The downside is that the hotel is in the middle of the road. So it is a bit hard to cross the road if there is a lot of car driving pass.

The room is very comfortable and the view of city is excellent. The location is excellent with a lot of shopping locations around. The breakfast is good with a lot of choices. The corridor carpet is smelly (strong smell of drainage pipe problem).

The location of the hotel is good. We didn't drive. We mainly rely on buses to get in and out. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the bus station. The bus service in Taichung is not very frequent, so you have to wait. There are several restaurants around the hotel. The accommodation experience was good, the hotel was clean and hygienic, and the breakfast had rich food choices. Coffee and fruity water are available in the lobby, which is a plus in summer. There is a free self-service laundry room and gym on the ground floor of the hotel.

advantage: 1. The location is quite good. It is very close to Tai Fengjia Night Market and Lalapo. You can also walk to the market in Cao Wudao. The lights of the market at night add a lot of flavor. 2. The special price for a four-person room is less than 2,000 yuan, which is really great value. 3. The room is clean and basic toiletries are provided. shortcoming: 1. There is no parking lot. On weekdays (Sundays are considered weekdays), you can use the parking invoice to apply for a 100 yuan refund at the counter when checking out as a parking space bet; on holidays, the subsidy is 200 yuan. The definition of holidays must be confirmed with the service desk. 2. The bathroom design is very strange: there is no door in the shower room, there is no lock to lock the toilet, the toilet door is facing the bed, and the bathroom mirror 🪞 does not have a basic defogging function. 3. The bedroom lights are dim and there are no mirrors in the room. 4. The sound insulation is not so good, but it is not noisy.

Location is quite a distance from the city centre. Need to walk 10-15min to find local shops and eateries. Just across the hotel got a good-size supermarket. Bought local fruits for breakfast. No malls, night markets or shopping areas nearby. Room is spacious but rather old that needs upgrading. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but selection rather limited. No yogurt and limited selection of fruits. Overall a reasonable good stay.

We are visiting Alishan, Sun-moon lake so make a stop at Taichung and we find this is a nice hotel and nice room and facilities are well equipt , we like hotel breadfast at the cafe which supply a bit variety of Asian food + American food too. It's a pity we only for a night , next trip I will plan to come back here for few days stay to explore Taitung.

A city hotel with a children's playground and rich brunch. Staying in a superior triple room with no window or bathtub on weekdays in November 2023. The room is novel, stylish and clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff at the counter explained in detail, and their attitude was great, which is worthy of praise. The ice-warm water dispenser is in a small room next to the lobby on the first floor. Breakfast is Phoenix Food Hall brunch, a multi-national buffet buffet. It is served from 7 am to 1 noon. The meal time is two hours. The dishes are diverse and there are six kinds of fruits. Unfortunately, the quality of the fruits is not very good. The specialty is Starbucks Coffee and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel building from B2 to B5. The entrance and exit are on Yanagawa East Road. There are many parking spaces, but the parking lot is not dedicated. When the occupancy rate is high, it may be full and there will be no parking spaces. Tenants can park for free for 24 hours. There is a dedicated elevator in the parking lot directly to the hotel. hall.

Hotel opened ~12mo ago, entire building is new. Whatever growing pains it had, the Le Meridien Taichung has figured most of them out. This brand can be hit/miss depending on city, but the Le Meridien Taichung is a great property. Well-appointed rooms are huge (60 sq m+), even the walk-in shower is huge. Lots of electrical outlets/USB for charging devices. Wi-Fi access points work everywhere in the building. Great views of the Central/East Districts and Main Station, especially at night. Amazing price point for this level of hotel quality. Service is where Le Meridien Taichung shines. Exec Lounge team so helpful, special thanks to Angel, Lisa, Irin, Yang. Concierge helped us with check-in and restaurants (Billy, Wilber, Debbie). And Marriott app chat with Front Desk works great, responded within minutes. Parking in the underground garage (elevators run directly to room floors with your key) with in/out privileges is free for guests. Front Desk will add your license plate number, cameras at gates will read it. Oddly, the Marriott app shows daily fee TWD 2400 which is almost half the daily rate. (Obviously still ironing out some stuff.)

Clean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip. Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊
