Hotels near Datitian, Taipei

Hotel ist in a good location for Shilin night market, not too far from the metro station. It has good parking space, room not very spacious but comfortable. Cannot judge meals since I didn't take any there.

Though it's a historic building, the hotel is beautifully maintained and exudes a majestic charm. I loved finding historical pieces and displays around every corner. We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The first was an economy room, which offered great value with all essentials provided, even a small bathtub, although it lacked windows. The second room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large balcony with views of lush greenery. The location, perched on a hill, might not be the most convenient, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to Jian Tan station (near Shilin Market) and Yuan Shan. The shuttle ride takes about 10 minutes. On our last day, I bought their delicious winter melon cubes, which are amazing when steeped in Oolong tea—simply heavenly! Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d gladly return.

1. The hotel facilities are very new. The room is very large for this price. It is very quiet and I slept very well. 2. The hotel meets the requirements of energy conservation and emission reduction. Although it does not provide disposable items, they are happy to deliver them at any time as long as you need them. 3. Although there is no mineral water in the room, direct drinking water is provided on each floor for easy access. Coffee and drinks are also provided free of charge in the lobby on the first floor. 4. There are night markets, Cosmed, pharmacies, and review stores near the hotel. You can take what you need. 5. The service attitude and professionalism of the hotel staff must be praised. 6. The hotel is far from the MRT, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk. But the flaws do not cover the merits, and it is still a cost-effective hotel. In short, I recommend it to you who need it. If you go to Taipei again next time, I will want to stay here.

If you want to stay at this hotel, you need to be able to tolerate bad attitudes. I checked in at night, and the receptionist was a man in his 50s or 60s with a constant scowl. He was very rude, acting as if I was the one serving him, and seemed ready to lash out at any moment. After dropping my luggage in the room, I went to a convenience store. As I passed by the front desk, he didn't greet me (which is fine), but glared at me like a ********. I was very polite and couldn't understand why he behaved like that at work. I thought he was the only one like this, but the next morning, when I went to the front desk to extend my stay (because my flight was canceled due to a typhoon), the receptionist named Ally also had a scowl. My goodness, what kind of terrible hotel is this? I asked him something, and he seemed clueless, so he went to the back to ask someone. His colleague came out to help, but with the same impatient expression and harsh tone. This is the most unfriendly front desk I've ever encountered. If you enjoy dealing with bad attitudes, feel free to challenge yourself by staying here.

We really loved the pub that is under the hotel, which had daily free beer perks if you patronised them! The beers were really refreshing and yummy! Our stay came with breakfast, which was not bad, but you wouldn't really want to have hotel breakfast every day when there is so much to eat in Taipei. We also loved the hotel concept and would totally return again! Thank you PapaWhale for being a place we want to go back to, after a long day of exploring, every day!

I received the best hotel stay experience in Taipei with this Hotel, very clean and tidy, up to Japanese style word class standard. I also join the hotel group membership with a gift of ice cream. the laundry facilities were great and easy to access at the lobby. This hotel also provides quick path to check out by dropping the key card to a collection box on the ground floor, saving a lot of time.

I always book here in this hotel when there's available room for my travel dates when I have business trip to Taipei. I love the location for its accessibility.

Roughly 5 mins walk to XMD H&M. Room is fairly size in XMD (Near) considered those at XMD to be very small in room sq ft. Lots of tour bus bringing their costumer staying in this hotel, so do expect for long Breakfast Q in the morning. Sound proof not very good as well, students next room is making lots of noises in the middle of the night and clearly can be heard.

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were *********, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the ”living room” area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast. Usual 5 star amenities and comfort that one would expect. However some staff at reception here seemed unfriendly , being unhappy to be disturbed from whatever chores they were doing. I also saw a baby cockroach in the bathroom.
