Hotels near Hoss Foundation, Taipei

Room was clean and spacious. Excellent location almost opposite Taipei 101. Service was good and the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Bed was comfy and nothing went bump in the middle of the night!

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were *********, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the ”living room” area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast. Have a short trip at Tai Pei with my wife in last weekend. Noted that this hotel was newly built in 2021 and so close to subway station (3mins walking distance), so we confirmed to book this hotel. Besides close to subway, it also closes to some cultural sightseeing spot, famous restaurants and coffee shop, all of them are within 10mins walk. Interior design of the room is simple with slightly Japanese style and spacious. If the room is clean, simple & relax decoration and big enough are already a good choice of hotel room for me and my wife. And the cost is reasonable. But we didn't try the breakfast, so no comment on this part. Will recommend to others and we may rebook again in next time.

Fantastic stay. Superb location. Clean and modern hotel. Very nice pool to help you digest all the good food you would have consumed in Taipei!

Location wise - this one is just near Taipei Main Station and Ximen Station. Very convenient. The room is small and clean, you get what you paid for. Bathroom has hot/cold shower and bidet (Japanese style) which is really plus points. Only letdown of this trip / stay is the rude and impolite hotel front desk guy. He needs major customer service training. How he responded to me when I inquired if i can leave my luggage while waiting for check in was very appalling. It seems he hates his job or customers on how he responds. His behavior is a clear reflection of the hotel. Definitely i will go back here due to location and convenience but hoping not to encounter the rude front desk guy.

Booked this hotel for our last night in Taipei. It is strategically located across Ximending. It is a self-check in but there are staffs who will be assisting you. During our stay, there are bunch of teenagers who were very noisy, we can hear the noises from our room. Nevertheless, the hotel is good as well as with the breakfast buffet where there are a lot of food choices.

We really loved the pub that is under the hotel, which had daily free beer perks if you patronised them! The beers were really refreshing and yummy! Our stay came with breakfast, which was not bad, but you wouldn't really want to have hotel breakfast every day when there is so much to eat in Taipei. We also loved the hotel concept and would totally return again! Thank you PapaWhale for being a place we want to go back to, after a long day of exploring, every day!

There are two buildings and the one on Google is the one for more than one person's rooms. I wish it was an information I got before arriving so I didn't have to walk around, even though both are really close by. The other building only has a Chinese name on Google map - 西門星辰精典大飯店. Apart from that, my stay was very good! Room is nice, I didn't use the TV so I don't know about its quality. Aircon works wonder and the shower's pressure is top tier ! 🤣 We also got free hot drinks and I do love my hot chocolate from time to time. 😌 Window is useless though, it feels like you don't have one. Location is perfect. Not too far from the subway and some bus stops.

Though it's a historic building, the hotel is beautifully maintained and exudes a majestic charm. I loved finding historical pieces and displays around every corner. We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The first was an economy room, which offered great value with all essentials provided, even a small bathtub, although it lacked windows. The second room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large balcony with views of lush greenery. The location, perched on a hill, might not be the most convenient, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to Jian Tan station (near Shilin Market) and Yuan Shan. The shuttle ride takes about 10 minutes. On our last day, I bought their delicious winter melon cubes, which are amazing when steeped in Oolong tea—simply heavenly! Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d gladly return.

Hotel ist in a good location for Shilin night market, not too far from the metro station. It has good parking space, room not very spacious but comfortable. Cannot judge meals since I didn't take any there.
