Villa Kadriorg is a budget friendly hostel/hotel that is on a direct bus route to the old town. If not for major upgrade works to the tram network then I believe it would also be on the tram line.
I found my room comfy enough, if a little warm. It was a very warm few days in Tallinn though. Sadly, my room was right above a bar playing music until past 10pm. If you needed an early night to catch transport then that might be a problem.
There's free WiFi and a small shared kitchen. The shared showers were a little grubby, but I suspect that is to be expected. There was also a bit of noise from some of the younger guests after 10.
Sounds like I had a miserable stay but that is not so. Just be aware that the price will attract youngsters.
I'd say that Villa Kadriorg is good value for money and a fine place to rest a weary head after a long day walking around beautiful Tallinn.

I stayed 3 nights in this hostel. For me it was good value for the money spent. I suggest to bring ear plugs and in order to travel around to use the e scooters that you can pick up at the station just on the side of the door.

Authentic, reassuring, comprehensive, very clean room, relaxing welcome, with easy access. Very clean shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet. A relaxing stopover for Russia. A pleasant and efficient service, taxi request, is a reasonable price.

The worst thing was that since it was so isolated in summer we couldn't even be in the room, we asked for a fan and it was so small that it didn't do anything. There were insects in the room and between the sheets. There was no TV in the rooms, and the plugs were badly placed. Everything was very dirty, the bathroom always smelled of pee, and the kitchen was missing everything. Other guests were playing music until 3am and the staff did nothing.

great hostel. room was tidy. facilities such as shower and toilet in the hallway were neat and clean. The kitchen was also fine. The hostel staff kept everything clean. reception was also professional and cordial. As an alternative to a cheap hotel in the center of Tallinn, this is a great alternative

I did stay here for one night. I have chosen this accommodation because of area and very affordable price. The hostel staff is very helpful. In the same building located Azerbaijan restaurant with really delicious food. The hostel located in walking distance to the central park of Tallinn. Supermarket Selver also in walking distance. The public transport stops just few meters away

The property was better than expected - clean and relatively new upgrades in the room.
Some of the guests are thoughtless and somewhat taint the experience. They are sometimes too loud and don't clean up after themselves in the kitchen. Maybe another time with other guests might have been better.
