Very Good

There are mosquitoes in the room, but it is equipped with mosquito repellent, and the location is near Tanabe Station. The breakfast and lunch boxes are especially recommended. They are the most cost-effective and delicious meals during a few days of hiking. I will stay again next time.
Family run operation good for 1 night. It reminds me of the old truck stop motels in the mid west where the truckers would stop for one night. Saying that it was good for a 1 night stay before I did the Kumono Kodo hike. It was walking distance from the train station, had a hot shower , and. Avoid breakfast . The Japanese customers liked it because it included free parking. The owners were lovely and in loved in all aspects of running the property which I respect . For the price this is a good option for a 2 star property with private bathrooms . It had character .

Small basic hotel near the kii Tanabe train station. Located very conveniently also for the the bus to the Kumano Kodo trek. The rooms are clean, functional and good value. Excellent breakfast (Japanese or Western) served between 7 - 8 am. Booking through the website -apparently with an intermediate local travel agency Kumano Travel- takes a few days to be confirmed.

It is run by a family and has a sense of cleanliness, and the breakfast is delicious, both Japanese and Western. In April of this year, I was transferred from Osaka to Tanabe City, and I was indebted for 5 nights. I also introduced my friend when he came to Tanabe!
