Citadel Narikala Hotel

The hotel is located in a wonderful location, right at the foot of the Narikala fortress, overlooking the city. The beds are comfortable, the linens are clean! The view is simply magnificent! Now about the cons: I reduced one point for convenience due to the lack of parking. At least for planting and disembarking, you need to clear a small area and fence it off with cones. Minus point for cleanliness because there is a strong smell in the toilet. Ventilation of the toilet room is not a solution. Otherwise, the stay is comfortable. I would like to wish to diversify the buffet with more Georgian dishes!

The location is very good. It is only 100m away from Narikala Castle. It is also very close to the European Square and the Peace Bridge. It can be walked in 5 minutes. It is very suitable as the starting point of the city walk. It can also walk to the sulfur bath in 2 minutes and is surrounded by businesses. There are many currency exchange points in the area and hotels. The hotel room has a balcony with a very good view, and the night view is great. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good, the service was very friendly, and the front desk spoke English very well. Disadvantages: The room facilities are not new, the sound insulation is not very good, the hotel is on a steep uphill slope, and you need to climb back to the hotel. Generally speaking, it is highly recommended. The price/performance ratio is very high. The location is excellent. The night view is beautiful. It is worth staying.

Второй раз отдыхали в этом отеле, что говорит само за себя в нашем выборе. Если первый раз отель бронировался через Букинг, то во второй раз на сайте самого отеля - допускается 100% оплата на месте, что по нынешним временам актуально, обратная связь быстрая. Цены, относительно других отелей Тбилиси, и с учётом предоставляемых услуг, разумные. За день до нашего прибытия администрация ещё раз прислала подтверждение бронирования, что дополнительно успокоило перед поездкой. Сам отель расположен в центре старого города. Небольшой. Магазины в пешей доступности. Выходишь, спускаешься и фактически уже в сердце туристической зоны, откуда налево, через 10 мин. прогулочным шагом, через улицу ресторанов, попадёшь к "Театру марионеток Резо Габриадзе", а ещё через 5 выходишь на проспект Шота Руставели. Если прямо - через площадь и мост, попадёшь в другой исторический район Тбилиси - Авлабари (кстати там и вино и сыр, и фрукты, и сладости дешевле в 2-3 раза, ну а пури так вообще))). Направо - попадаешь в район Абанотубани, к знаменитым серным баням и опять же к ресторанчикам. Так что расположение отличное, всего не опишешь... Если чуть подняться (не более 100 м) от отеля вверх, оказываешься в сердце Тбилиси, в крепости Нарикала, а за ней в Ботаническом саду, где отлично погулять в тихой и спокойной обстановке, и где часто проводятся различные национальные фестивали. Администрация и персонал отеля прекрасно общаются на русском языке, доброжелательны и отзывчивы. Внешний вид отеля, как с наружи, так и внутри без замечаний - с историческо-археологическим колоритом. Обстановка новая и функциональная. Номера от стандартных до просторных - какой выберете, но тесных нет; 100% с видом на старый Тбилиси - КРАСОТА! Кровати новые (не скрипят))), матрасы выше всяких похвал, бельё новое, есть чайник, каждый день обновляют пакетики с чёрным и зелёным чаем и кофе, ставят бутылки с питьевой водой. Телевизор поддерживает порядка 15 русскоязычных каналов, В ванной комнате всё работает идеально, принадлежности соответственно. Уборка каждый день - со старанием и ненавязчиво. Звукоизоляция хорошая, во всяком случае мы соседей не слышали и они нас не просили убавить телевизор... Завтраки замечательные! Всё что надо есть - от нескольких каш, глазуньи, долмы, сосисок, тефтелей, наггетсов с курицей или фаршем и пр. на горячее, до 4-5 видов соусов, прекрасной густой сметаны, мацони, 3-4 видов национальных и не только сыров, мясной нарезки, разнообразных овощей, фруктов, оливок, сладостей и напитков. Кофе варят хороший и разнообразный. Эклеры и пирожные достаточно лёгкие и очень вкусные! Народ не толпится и места всегда хватает всем. Одним словом только положительные впечатления.

Indeed, the hotel is located right next to the walls of the Narikala fortress, and to get to it by car, you need to drive along slippery paving stones at a 60-foot incline! The road is very steep. We just didn't take the risk. Parking nearby. Not provided by the hotel! You can leave your car downstairs, but going up with your suitcases is also fun! So I left the idea of ​​checking into a hotel for next time! This happened in November 2023. I flew in alone and naturally ended up in a hotel! The room cost 220 lari. Although this is not the tourist season! The calving was practically empty! But this did not mar my stay. Room on the 3rd floor with a view of the city! This is incredible beauty. Day and night! The room is approximately 25 meters. The bath is great! But the main hair dryer did not work and they kindly provided me with a portable hair dryer. Fast enough. The bathroom amenities were amazing! Only in Tbilisi have I encountered these scents. The room has a large bed with a thick and very warm blanket). The cleanest linen. There was no coffee in the room. But, there was a kettle and 4 tea bags! Sugarless. Balcony with 2 chairs and a table! Ideal for a couple. In general, the interior of the room is minimalistic. But it's clean. Since there is almost no central heating in Georgia (and there is none in the old city), air conditioning is used for heating! In my case, I endured for a long time, because I wanted warmth, but the air conditioner was loud and even though it was -2’ outside the window at night, I was forced to turn it off. Because it made it very difficult to sleep! Regarding breakfast: I really liked everything! Breakfast also has a view of the city. Everything is fresh and very tasty) upon request they prepare omelettes, fried eggs, etc. Cappuccino coffee too. The staff all speak Russian and this is very pleasing. Of course, it is noticeable that the hotel is not new. There are abrasions and damage in places, but this did not mar my holiday, not even a little. In the morning I went up to the fortress with great pleasure. I listened to the guide. I went up to Mother Georgia and went down by cable car. I recommend the hotel for a short stay in the old part of the city. There is no noise from cars under the windows. But from a bird's eye view you will enjoy the landscape of my favorite city, Tbilisi!
