We stayed at the Brown Seaside for one night on a quick midweek break. Lovely boutique hotel right over the road from Gordon Beach. It's a friendly quirky little hotel. Clean, comfy, and quiet. I wouldn't come with my kids but for the two of us it was just right. Couple of negatives: no coffee or tea in the rooms. You have to go downstairs to the lobby. Sorry, but when I wake up in a hotel, I don't want to have to get dressed and see people. I want to turn on the news and drink my coffee in bed. The other is that we purchased breakfast and only found out when we arrived that breakfast is served in a sister hotel a five minute walk away. For us on this trip it really didn't matter and the breakfast was very good but if this had been a business trip or if I'd been with my kids, i would have been a little annoyed at not being told. But all in all lovely hotel, nice people, comfy and clean and a bit different.
