The Snooty Fox

Just back from a two night stay at this charming Hotel. Snooty it is most definitely not, one of the friendliest stays we have ever had. Angela (?) aka 'Claudia' 😁 is a fantastic duty manager and with her team really makes the stay a fun occasion. Yes some of the rooms don't look as prestige as a corporate hotel as has been mentioned but this is an old building and for us full of charm. Lovely food and a great breakfast. We will be back, TY to you all

Just returned from a night away at the snooty fox ! We really had a warm genuine welcome from all of the lovely staff and then the food … wow absolutely delicious yes the rooms are a little tired but couldn’t recommend this hotel enough on all the important stuff. Thank you and we will be back with the family 😊

Not our first visit to the Snooty Fox, but we hadn't been for a couple of years. And wow, it didn't disappoint! The newly furbished bar and restaurant areas are great. We meant to eat out at least once during our three days, but ended up staying in The Snooty - fantastic menu! Saw the fabulous team, Steve, Richard and Christos. No matter how busy, they always make time to say hi. Met a new member Angela, great fun. Told me where to shop, to my husband's great alarm!!! Such a lovely place to visit, friendly staff, comfortable settings and we loved our room. Very spacious with a great bed. Can't wait to go back.

Just back from a lovely overnight stay at the snooty fox, the hotel is full of olde world charm , we stayed in room 8 which was clean tidy and very welcoming, even had a spa bath, the staff are extremely nice and friendly and very hardworking but still manage to take time to chat to their visitors, can’t leave a review without mentioning the delightful Lotti who served us when we had dinner in the restaurant, what a lovely person she is and an absolute asset to the hotel, our evening meal was lovely and so was the breakfast, we have nothing but praise for the way the hotel is managed and will definitely be returning, thank you snooty fox for a lovely weekend. Very nice afternoon tea with family this weekend. A delightfully authentic old country inn . An extensive menu at reasonable prices. A bar stocked with a fine range of well kept beers and wines . The staff are very friendly, fun loving and professional. All in all a must visit venue , well worth the call.

This hotel is really great, the staff are great fun the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast has plenty of choices and is good quality. The restaurant meals are well worth paying that little extra as we found, the food quality and choice is excellent. I have to say, most of all it's the staff that makes this place. Great fun, friendly and welcoming from the moment we checked in. Will definitely visit again if I am in the area.

We have stayed at the Snooty Fox several times. We always find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant is very good. The food is of a high standard, again the staff are very friendly and attentive. The rooms are lovely. It's a country town hotel with plenty of character. We'll definitely be back again.

We popped in here for a cream tea. The staff member who assisted us was a delightful young Ukranian gentleman who went over and above to help us. A great asset to the Hotel as he made our visit so enjoyable finding time to talk to us and explain the History of 'black tea' as drunk in his country.

For a birthday treat my partner booked for a night at the snooty fox with a special offer off afternoon tea on arrival + dinner b and b We checked in and mention our cream tea and a table was set for us. We sat for around 15 mins and then had to go and find a member of staff to serve us , a pot of tea was brought out but no scones. Avian we had to find a member of staff to bring scones , which as the tea was very nice , the staff were helpful and polite but it seemed they were struggling and needed more help , anyway its was a nice cream tea . Now back to the room which was a reasonable size clean and tidy The bath room needed updating, a bit old and tired . The bed was ok a bit hard but linen nice and clean , pillows are always a problem never like home . Time for our evening meal, nice restaurant a bit of noise from the bar , We both went for mains to start , I had the sirloin steak which I must say was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while, a really nice cut of meat cooked medium rare and not over done like so many , it came with French fries a salad and peas, and I ordered a pepper corn sauce and beer battered onion rings , a simple meal done well very nice , my partner had the lamb dish which she also enjoyed, dessert we both had the panacotta , very nice indeed, oh we had a glass of fizz which should have been with cream tea . Off to bed , as I said before the room was ok a bit noise from traffic ect but you are in the centre of tetbury so that understandable . Morning time we headed down for breakfast , the lady that severed us was very nice although it did seem she had a lot to do on her own . I went for the full English breakfast which very nice , good quality bacon and sausage , from a local butcher I was told . My partner had the vegetarian full English which she enjoyed , I must say the vegetarian sausage taste very good which surprised me a lot , All in all our stay was good very polite and friendly staff great location for a tetbury visit and good value for money . We only live a half hour drive from tetbury and visit often but this stop offer a the snooty fox was a goodly thing to do and we would definitely do it again 😊
