Even though we stayed here just for one night in March 2023, yet we are carrying wonderful memories of stay and the culinary experience @ this little gem of Hilton chain. I asked for a veg burger for in-room dining to Lijo. Even on phone this guy was very polite, alert and energetic. The burger was really out of this world. Please try this Curried veg burger if you are here. Chef Rajneesh created this burger and he deserves my compliments. For dinner we were well served by a very polite and young *** Jayakarthick. The restaurant manager Vignesh was taking rounds of tables and it was very nice of him to ask about our food experience. We had ordered Meen Mulkittathu ( fish curry ) with Appam. It was high spicy to our taste and we rate it as one of the best. It was made by chef Sanal who deserves our compliments. We ordered Elaneer Payasam as dessert which was also top class. I would also like to thank Chef Arun to carefully note our precise instructions on the food. Mr Sarvanan was also very attentive and took good care of us. We were looked after so well by these gentlemen that it made our evening unforgettable. Thank you Hilton for suo-moto giving 10 per cent discount as Hilton Honors member.

We are regulars at this hotel and always we are welcomed with such warmth that we feel like home coming. The reception team and F&B team ensure to welcome us with smiling face creating the best first impression and feel good factor. Hospitality at the peak. The manager Ankush leads the team beautifully and deserves Kudos for this. This time we want to convey our special thanks to the chef Mr. Amar Nath Singh. We had checked in late and checked out by 9am next day. Since we were coming after an Ayurveda treatment and connecting back home, had many food restrictions. The chef Amar singh was kind enough to wait for us to understand our requirements so that suitable breakfast could be arranged next day. He organised for the best food with no oil, no spices, keeping the restrictions 100% and serving us with absolutely palatable and flavorful breakfast. String hoppers with stew, raddish paratta with lentils. Have no words to convey our gratitude and appreciation for the gesture and out of the way service. An asset to the hotel are such wonderful Members.

We booked this hotel for three nights and its one of the best hotel I stayed recently . Rooms are luxurious with all quality toiletries . The staffs are all humble, polite and always welcome us with a genuine smile. We had only break fast but the food was delicious with varieties . But they can improve the quality of desserts and bread items in break fast buffet. Its just a feed back rest everything was awesome. Special thanks to FO team , ***ger Shinoj , EX Chef , waitress at restaurant who assisted us during BF( Don't know her name ) and all members at CR TVM. Keep up the good work and we shall visit this property again.

Soma Palmshore Resort is situated right on the lighthouse beach and is around 1.5 km from the famed Kovalam beach. Some of the rooms and the cottages have excellent view of the beach. The beach can be accessed by going down the stairs just beside the swimming pool. The property has an outdoor swimming pool at ground level. Had it been on upper levels, it would have provided an excellent view of the beach. The reception area is not very large and lobby is not great either. The rooms are decent with private balconies. The bathroom is also sufficient but the toiletries are not upto the mark. The front office and house keeping staff are cordial, caring and efficient. The biggest letdown is the inhouse restaurant and the food. The restaurant and the kitchen are located at lower level than the rooms. The smell from the kitchen keeps circulating throughout the hotel and one cannot use the common areas inside the hotel because of this smell. The food is below average and very expensive. The restaurant service is slow and the staff are indifferent bordering on rude. The hotel offers free parking but the parking lot is very small, holding 5-6 cars at a time. Overall, not recommended at this price point and is definitely not a 3⭐ property.

Let's start with good things first. The hotel is at a beautiful location, although a little farther, but away from the crowd and noise, at a peaceful place, a visually appealing huge property. The hospitality and demeanor, the behavior of staff is really great, they are very professional, humble and polite. The resort has multiple stay options, including cottages, cottage with a private pool and hotel like rooms too. The cottages look great, but since we wanted to book separate 2 rooms, online portals only provided options to book the Beach Cove side. We stayed for 3 days with a Senior Citizen and a 2 year old kid. Best part of the Stay - Food, Comfortable Rooms, Hospitality. Commute: Avoid the beach Cove side of properties, it is 3 floors below the ground level and very far from the main gate. You may have the partial beach view (can see it from 1KM), but the inconvenience and commute is not worth it. Only way to reach here is to walk and take an old lift. Which even though is good and always has a staff, inconvenient as the rest of the way is very hard to walk for a kid and senior citizen. They provide a van at times until the lift but you can be waiting a long time to get it or some times they can just say they don't have a van. Beach Access: The beach is quite far from the back gate and not as walkable as the reviews and descriptions make it seem. The back gate itself is far. Once you get out of the back gate need to walk far to get to the beach. No commute available and resort doesn't ***age anything to reach there. They expect people to walk. No empathy for senior citizen and kids. The gate access itself is limited till 6PM only, so if you are planning to watch the sunset at the beach, plan to come back walking 3-4KM to the main entrance from outside the property. It is difficult to find an Auto or other private vehicles too. Amenities: Kids play area, 2 pools, Trampoline, Good Restaurant, TravelDesk, Ayurveda therapy, consultation Food: Expensive! Low value for Money!! The Buffet is very costly and very repetitive and bare basic. For once or twice it is okay although you can't have this every day and night. No consistency, what you ordered and liked today, may be bad the next day. No empathy for special instructions like non spicy food etc. Desserts were good. Room service is terrible. The menu has very limited items, barely any options. They don't even provide plates, spoons and bowls and spoons enough to feed all the people. The Chapatis go hard as a Metal sheet in few minutes. Every order needs 2-3 follow ups to get it right. I posted this review although and the service difference on the last day was Humongous! Wish they could ***age crowd and pressure better. We had asked for some Food To Go on the last day, while they pleasantly arranged for the Lunch parcel, the packaging was terrible and the Khichdi spilled over the whole bag.
