This is such a lovely place to stay. One of our clients is based in Lowestoft so we first came across this hotel a couple of years ago. We keep coming back as we know that we can absolutely rely on a comfortable stay, excellent service and the most incredible food. In fact we love it so much that our latest stay involved a slightly longer drive to our next destination! Jake and Katie clearly care so much about guest experience. Cannot recommend this place enough. Jacqui and David

A wonderful overnight stay with our black lab Jimmy, who thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast bonus sausage! The food was fantastic and the wine pairings were perfect. Our host was very knowledgeable and helpful. I notified them in advance of my husband’s particular health need and they fully accommodated this, thank you so much! And finally, the room was luxurious and comfortable. A real gem.

I booked the private dining room for my daughter’s surprise 30th birthday family meal. From the very first point of contact, Jake and the Auberge team were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We pre-ordered our food choices and every effort was made to cater for everyone’s wishes. I was able to have table decorations delivered directly to the restaurant, and to hang birthday banners in the dining room. The service was excellent, with staff unobtrusively bringing and taking away plates, topping up glasses etc. The food…WOW! What can I say, the food was completely and utterly sublime. Jake was on hand to explain not only what was on the plate but how it was made and where the food came from, most locally sourced and some from their own kitchen garden. The whole experience was perfect. A massive thank you to everyone at The Bull Auberge for ensuring a truly memorable evening was had by all.

We visited for a second time, to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Our first visit was to the restaurant, this was such a fantastic experience we decided this time to stay over. Our room was lovely and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and again a fantastic meal and a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was everything we hoped for and more. The lovely couple that own The Bull Auberge are such a hard working couple and we really enjoyed chatting to them. This venue certainly is a great experience and we will most definitely be returning again in the near future.

Very special place to stay in. Welcoming host, superb food and accommodation. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Generous , luxurious toiletry provisions, shampoo etc. Vegetables homegrown. The garden plants were attractive and well looked after. Friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately, no Limoncello to be seen?? Would have enjoyed a Limoncello spritzer. Very reasonably priced. We will return!

My partner & I have now stayed 4 times, we just love it here. Jake, Katey and Co are so friendly and welcoming and it feels like home from home. The rooms are lovely, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant offers a great selection of locally sourced delicious dishes, cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and served with just the right level of formality to make it feel special and yet still relaxed. We can’t recommend this little gem of a restaurant with rooms enough!

This hotel is a real gem of a find! Even before arriving, the owner of the hotel kept in touch to make sure we had dinner reservations if we wanted them, and double checked we had booked the right room for my elderly father. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, the rooms are a good size and very comfortable. As for the food...outstanding! Plenty of choice for breakfast, and the dinners were amazing. Locally sourced ingredients, freshly cooked, good choice of options. The owner is a really sincere and helpful man - knowledgeable about his product, including a very good wine selection. Helpful with what to see and do in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and we're planning to return to enjoy more good hospitality and explore this beautiful part of the country.

We only booked one night before driving on to Southwold but we really wished we had booked for a longer stay. This country hotel is lovely in every way. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room is really comfortable and the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel looking for a stay in the area.

I had the best meal I have had for a long time when we stayed here. I highly recommend the 'wine flight' too because not only was it paired perfectly with the food, I learnt so much about it from the excellent host Alex. I must add I didnt take this up with the most excellent breakfast, but apparently Pinot Noir is the best with bacon and egg! Loved the attention to detail from Jake and all his team. Thanks you for a lovely stay. We will be back soon.
