The room was really very small. The bathroom was the size of a toilet. Unthinkable for a castle. The comfort rooms do not deserve their name. Good buffet breakfast. Very good restaurant. The setting is superb.

Toilet was blocked. And not fixed during our stay
No staff on reception.

No.availability in the restaurant. Turns out they were short staffed and out staff on the wedding event and not the guests

Op de kamer waren er enkele kleine defecten waaronder de verlichting in de badkamer 1 lamp stuk aan de spiegel, ventilatie / airco werkte niet in de badkamer daardoor ontstond er damp. Het ontbijt was lekker jammer dat het personeel niet zag dat bepaalde zaken aangevuld moesten worden. VB: ei aanvullen daarnaast stond het spek leeg. Bij aanvulling was het spek gekookt in plaats van gebakken. Tijdens het eten in het restaurant s'avonds was terug het personeel die de wensen overliet. 1 uur wachten op je eten, dit kan maar geen drankje serveren tijdens het wachten is erover. De kamer was mooi gepoetst doch lege blikjes stonden nog in de kleerkast. De kamer verdiend ook een deftige vernieuwing . We betaalde €158 voor 1 nacht en hadden wat meer verwacht volgens de sterren van het Hotel.

The hotel is lovely and the staff were excellent, sadly the restaurant was fully booked and we weren't aware we had to book in advance. It seems odd the restaurant doesn't have enough spaces to match the accommodation. We had to walk a couple of miles up the road to get food in heavy rain which after travelling from England for 9 hours to get to the hotel was disappointing. Aside from this everything else about the hotel was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel but beware you need to book your space in the restaurant in advance if you want an evening meal. ******* doesn't tell you this.
