Hotel was easy accessible from Shinjuku station through an underpass. There’s a video from hotel website that shows how to get to hotel using the underpass. There are eateries/restaurants/Lawson/familymart in the hotel. Lobby looks nice and grand. However the room and toilet are kind of old fashioned. Luckily it was still quite clean. The laundry machine for washing and drying were separate. After wash you have to go and manually transferred to dryer :( and you can’t monitor the washing status through tv. 2 other hotels we stayed b4 have this service. The rooms and facilities needed an upgrade. Will not come back again.

We stayed a Sakura Hatagaya 10 years ago with our then- teenage sons. We returned 10 years later and lots of improvements to the hotel. Staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful. They speak multiple languages including Japanese, English and French so I had no problems communicating with them. They are also helpful and when asked questions, provide us with clear communication. Though the rooms are a bit narrow, we like to stay here because it is 2 mins walk from Hatagaya station, to connect to Shinjuku station through the new Keio Line. We I’ve trying out various restaurants around Sakura Hotel. There is a post office around the corner, a chemist, a kombini, 100 yen shop just at the station entrancing and McDonalds both in the station and outside on the Main Street. Hotel is clean, convenient and very very quiet. I have no complaints about the location . If at all, next upgrade Sakura does, please try to get the amazing automated Japanese WC toilets. In that narrow toilet/ bathroom, it would be really appreciated.

This hotel is really lovely - modern and lots going on. Fantastic bakery - great for breakfast each morning.
The rooms are small but have everything you need including a kettle, a small bath/shower etc.
the only major major downside to this hotel is sound proofing - we had to call reception about 4x due to several noisy neighbours but also due to the fact that the walls are paper paper thin. We could hear the chap next door snoring too! The hotel really need to put signage up and doors into the bedroom area (as at the moment it’s connected openly to all the social areas) to tell people to be quiet when walking past bedrooms etc. Theres potential here for it to be the perfect hotel but this made it frustrating especially as we were so tired from our days out in Tokyo! Bring earplugs if you’ve already booked, you’ll be grateful for them….

Staff is polite and check in was a breeze. The room is small as expected as its a room for one person. The fridge does not have capacity to make ice, only for cooling. There is a microwave for common use on the 5th flr. The breakfast is super simple and light. Only soup, pastries, coffee, apple juice, small hamburger for meat, cabbage salad. Not much of choice.

Hotel is not difficult to find but it’s not near train station. The area here is a bit messy with tons of human traffic like tourists and locals. I don’t like the environment here as the crowd at night here seems a bit rowdy with many locals round n old here looking for drinks and entertainment. Early in the morning, like 7am, you will see drunk people stumbling out of clubs, vomiting and even pee on the streets! Yes it’s that messy. Overall I won’t stay here again. Too crowded but young people may like the place for its variety of food n drinks places. Hotel staff is friendly n room is decent size not too small.

Excellent location in Shinjuku, right opposite the Tokyo Metropolitan Building, where you can go up to the observatories for free and get great views.
The hotel itself is quite old now but it’s been refurbished. Lots of rooms so it’s quite busy, but there are staff everywhere to help you. Good value if you can book early enough and get a decent rate.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location and the view of the room. Right in Kabukicho Shinjuku, we found many shops and restaurants easily. There is a convenient store right in the opposite side of hotel entrance. We could see the popular Godzilla from the window of our hotel room.
The room is small and the price was a bit high during our stay, but you got almost everything you need in this tiny room. The room spray offered is a good idea after having yakiniku!

One of the dropoff hotel for the orange airport limousine bus. Note that its the last stop. First stop is Shinjuku Station. So of you don't want to wait and don't mind walking just a little, you can actually stop at Shinjuku Station as it takes another almost 20-30mins to route to the hotel even though its so near.
I proceeded to one of the checkin counters and the front desk staff asked for my passport. She returned me my passport after checking my booking and confirming it. Then she brought me to another counter who asked for my passport again. He too checked my booking and confirmed it. Then brought me to the auto check in machine and guide me to check in which is quite easy. Right from the start the staffs should have just direct me to the machine instead of manually confirming my booking twice. I just find it abit unnecessary 😅
Crazy selection of self service amenities available right beside the lift.
Room was clean but crazily small. My 6feet tall husband looks so out of place in the room and so in the way. 😂 Good thing was the bed is high enough to even put my thick luggage underneath. Excellent idea. 👍 TV has netflix and youtube.
3-4mins walk to the nearest exit from Shinjuku Station.
