Loved the hotel! Perfect location to explore the western part of central Tokyo, and is located close to metro lines bound for Shinjuku and Shibuya. The neighborhood is calm and cozy and offers several restaurants and cafés and can easily be explored by foot or using the hotels rental bikes.

Great

Location is about 10-15 minutes from Shimokitazawa station. Not great if you have lots of luggages. It is closer to a smaller station, but the lines to many places are better to be accessed from Shimokitazawa. The area itself is great. Very young with many shops and cafes. The twin bunk bed room was spacious with high ceiling. Although the bathroom is a wet bathroom and on the smaller side. Laundry was fine except the dryer was not very strong so multiple rounds was required and in the end we just dried the clothes in the room. Cafe in the hotel was cute and lively with decent coffee. Overall great experience if one wants to stay away from the crowded areas of Tokyo.

The hotel is very new and clean. I stayed in a bunk bed room. The floor is very high. It is well-equipped. There is a USB plug for power supply at the bedside and a bedside lamp. The waiter is friendly.

It was my second time using it, but the room was stylish and clean. Like last time, I was worried about the presence or absence of a TV and amenities, but if I knew in advance, I could bring my toothbrush, etc., so there was no problem. I would like to use it again.

The position of the hotel was very good: there wasn't any traffic and it was lovely to make some walking in the area. Parking is a option (hotel has 3 spots) in 20 mt to the hotel, metro was near and the hotel was very new. Our room was cozy even it's Japan size, has many usb ports to charge devices and beds were confortable. Definitely a perfect spot in Tokyo. Maybe the shower's tent wasn't good for me: i really hate them, but i understood it is common.

The hotel nestled in a distant suburb of Tokyo .. very far from the Ginza/ station / airport Not ideal for tourist as long travel to any site or shopping area . Tho station close by a very cumbersome long route to most places . Rooms extremely small and basic …hard to find places to eat nearby .. we had to move out as most of our day was spent commuting

Good value and a great location for exploring Shimokitazawa's amazing vibes and vintage stores. After staying in Akasaka for the first leg of our trip and then coming here after Kyoto for our final few days before heading home, it was nice to be in a calmer Tokyo neighborhood that still had access to the east side of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, etc.). The rooms are super sparse and we read reviews so were aware of that going in. Rooms are nothing special and do feel a little claustrophobic tbh--but since it was only a few nights we were ok with it. The free breakfast and amazing coffee area in the lobby was the highlight and it was really nice to enjoy breakfast on the sunny patio that was vibrant and had great people watching. Also loved that the hotel offered discounts at some great small businesses nearby so we did a ton of fun shopping for unique gifts. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Comfortable but somewhat minimalistic hotel located within easy reach of Shimokitazawa station and close to an enormous array of bars, restaurants and shops. Being within 10-20 minutes of major hubs Shinjuku and Shibuya, this is an excellent starting point for exploring Tokyo. I love the small touch of having a record player in each room (with records to borrow for free from the front desk) and no TV. The AC was powerful but silent and, unlike what I've seen some other reviews say, does NOT reset to a predefined temperature or turn itself off. There is a small fridge in each room and - something I particularly appreciate - lots of power outlets, both USB and AC. I had a few minor concerns with the room; since the bins are only emptied every few days, trash piles up easily. I don't need fresh towels every day but I would appreciate having the trash collected at least. This was also reflected in the laundry/vendor room where other guests' trash would sometimes pile up. The shower curtain is a little tricky to position right to avoid the bathroom floor flooding when you take a shower. More places to hang clothes and towels to dry would have been nice. However, all summed up, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Such a disappointing stay. Such an amazing area to explore but would NOT stay here again. AC is centrally controlled- at night, and you can't adjust it at all. there was no option for fan or cooling, just Heat even though it was already so hot in the room. Temperature of heat was defaulted to 26C which is 79F. Even if you turned the temperature down, it would auto change back to 26C. Front desk isnt manned starting at 2300 so was unable to have it addressed. Booked the standard room so we could crack a door or window. They didnt turn on the cooling function again until 1000am. Heat was unbearable and count sleep at all. What a shame

We stayed here on two separate occasions during the same Japan trip. The first time, we got a room with a double bed and the second time we got a room with a bunk bed. Both rooms were small, but the bunk bed rooms are nice as the beds are big and there's space underneath to put luggage. The location cannot be beat. It's on a quiet pathway with no cars and close to all the Shimokitazawa action. The coffeeshop is inside the building and the staff were really friendly. Downside is that there was no bathtub - just a shower.

We had lived in this area 20 years ago and knew it well so that was a key motivation for booking this place. Shimokitazawa is sort of a hip nearin neighborhood with good transportation by 2 different train lines. It has lots of small restaurants and bars and a surprising number of stores selling used American clothing for young hipsters. A few years ago the Odakyu railroad line was moved underground leaving room for a string of new buildings. First surprise is the hotel is over the new underground line - that is not a noise issue but it does mean if you take a taxi it an not reach the front door of the hotel although there is a cross street within 100m. Pluses: real king size beds are available at a modest price, coin operated washers and dryers available, breakfast includes option of decaf coffee - rare at this price point. Only breakfast is Western style with bagels (w/various fillings) and minestrone soup and several coffee options. Hotel looks it it was inspired by Marriott AC Hotel chain with minimal furnishings. Staff very helpful and mostly bilingual. Goof Covid safefty. Great Wi-Fi. No TV
