The hotel is nice and clean, the staff is polite. It has a quite OK parking lot in the back, and have their own bicycles that they lend to client for no charge. It has it's beach, not exactly in front, a bit to the left, which is free as I heard if you also include the dinner in the package. The surroundings are quiet, so if you want to relax, this is a good spot. Everything was nice, I'll mention just a few minuses, but not to discourage people to come to El Cid. - The whole area is mostly suitable for older people or families with small children, as there are buffer strips all along the beach, making the water shallow and warm with exit places from 100 to 100 meters where the water quickly gets deeper. - The top floor has a great view and big balcony with 2 sunbeds, but as it's the highest building around, it's almost constantly windy. - The bathroom needed some small repairs, the sink was leaking for example. - I had dinner only once there, but didn't felt quite ok. Some friends told us that the other days everything was just perfect, so maybe it was just a bad day. It felt like a self service restaurant, very crowded, very noisy, the table too small, everybody was talking loudly to cover the noise they made with the cutlery while eating. In the end they didn't even brought us what we ordered a day before, but something else. Anyway, we didn't argue as we felt uncomfortable to eat there anymore. (This is the main reason I rated the experience 4 bullets instead of 5) But overall, I do recommend the hotel.
