Hotel Las Torres Patagonia

Las Torres is a magical place! I had the greatest time. The staff goes above beyond to make each day awesome! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Seriously every worker was friendly and did a great job. Eco friendly too. I'm so sad to leave. Marcel thank you for dealing with me, you led our group with such different abilities and your laugh is awesome! I bet you won't forget me (Laura). You helped me get to the base when I wanted to give up. Alex thank you for making grey glacier day memorable and one of the best days of my life. The picnic and lookout stops were unbelievable and perfect. To the restaurant staff who made sure I had my calafante sours and were wonderful in every way from breakfast to dinner thank you. To the front desk young lady I will be "waiting for your voicemail" bc when you spoke it was so nice and friendly. Josefa gave me an amazing massage and Rosita my horse (2x) thanks for putting up with me you helped me get to a place I've wanted to see for so long. Carlos (bouquero) I don't Spanish but we understood each other. I'm sure I forgot people but everyone I came in contact with was amazing. The food was great at every meal. The hotel and grounds are clean and pretty. I hope to return someday. Thank you

Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired given the price point. While we did not deal with the in-room theft issues referenced in other reviews, there were significant issues that drove this 2 star review. Food: The drink and food menus were sophisticated - but the kitchen / bar execution to deliver on this potential was simply not there. Service: Wait times of 90+ minutes for food / drinks should be expected, particularly if there are other groups of more than 4 in attendance at the bar (it's common for large groups to stay in this hotel, and they get preferential treatment). This is obviously not ideal for smaller groups who choose this hotel. Guest Management: The inability of the hotel to manage and address persistent 7am children's soccer sessions in the hallway proved challenging, especially with the room doors being the apparent goals in this game. Excursions: The excursion difficulty levels are generous - the hikes that referenced times of 8+ hours generally require 5.5 - 6 hours, maximum. I think augmenting the existing activities with more challenging activities for those interested would be appropriate. Guides: The guides were truly the bright spot of this trip. Engaged, hard working, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with throughout the experience (Natalia in particular). The positive experience with these guides is what drove this review to be above a 1 star review. Trail Management: It's quite shocking to see the trail management that the hotel has been allowed to get away with in this National Park. The "trail" on this property is actually a run-out river bed with trash and littering, which has clearly not seen any substantive management in years.

Great location with staff that try hard. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We were in the new wing. Staff tries really hard but can be a hit an miss. Food is a hit a miss as well. We skipped the dining room after the 1st night and ate in the bar area as the food was more varied and you did not have to sit for hours to eat. We had an all inclusive package and was frustated with the excursion company. No written material on the tours on hand but if you don't book on the first day, the excursions fill and you are left with less than optimal tours. There are no park shuttles so there is no other way to get around. We had a rep that did a poor job of explaining the availabe outings the first day and the tours we wanted was fully booked by the time we spoke with someone more knowledgable. Suggest since they have the guides, add the shuttles that are sitting in the parking lot so all guests can get the top excursions. Outside tours are meant for day trippers so is not an option once you are at this hotel. Given this, not sure if I would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I had a truly magical experience during our 4-night stay at Hotel Les Torres. The Hotel Staff were so welcoming, helpful and extremely well trained. The recently refurbished rooms were excellent, comfortable and well-appointed. The on-site facilities were excellent, although we only had a chance to use the bar area and restaurant as we were away hiking all day. However, if you wanted to have a quiet day, there was plenty to keep you occupied, including the Spa area. The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of choice. We got to know quite a few other travellers during our stay at the hotel and were able to exchange stories and experiences. We did three days of 8-hour hikes around the W circuit, which was hard work but very rewarding. The guides were informative and did an excellent job of herding us along the moderately difficult trails. We were on an all-inclusive package, which was very generous, and despite walking nearly 60 kilometres, I still managed to put on weight! The Hotel is set in such a tranquil and picturesque setting, and I actually had a few tears in my eyes when we left for Santiago. What a shame this perfect Jewell is so far away

Amazing vacation We loved our stay. The location is excellent. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Their food is pretty food and the drinks excellent. Amazing scenery. It was very functional in a place that is remote and difficult to reach, but we were comfortable and happy. If you are going to that part of the world and expect every amenity, then you are probably traveling to the wrong destination. We were visiting here on our way back from Antarctica and had an amazing adventure.

Great service and wonderful scenery We had a great time on our stay. From our first stop at the checkin desk when Gabriel brought us welcome juice to all of the help he provided from the guest services desk - very knowledgeable. That first day we had dinner and Martin was our main server - equally amazing service. We needed that cheerful smile after our long day of travel to the site. Martin continued to be a highlight of our meals and Gabriel was always there to help. We really enjoyed the horseback riding too. As far as nature, it goes without saying. You can't beat the landscape. We drop to Lago Grey. Glad we didn't choose that as the hotel. :)
