Tossa De Mar Hotels with Free Breakfast

Hotel was clean, rooms are basic and in need of modernisation and repair work, paint spills on metal work on the balcony and the bathroom door was rotten from water damage, we also had towels with holes in. Our room for 3 people was a little small and felt claustrophobic, also the air conditioning didn't get cool enough and it was uncomfortable at night. Hotel is in a convenient location only 10 mins to a bus station and about 15 min to the main shopping area and beach. Hotel staff are very pleasant, the bar on an evening is understaffed and it can take a long time for a waiter to come over to take a drink order. Pool area is clean and there was always sunbeds available, the pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures and did feel too busy at times. The breakfast was good, with plenty of variety but dinner was disappointing. It was very repetitive and in our opinion, too much fish that was often slightly undercooked and slimy or full of bones. The salads and pork were really good but the hamburgers were pink and looked uncooked and the pizzas were seriously lacking in flavour and the bread rolls were often dry. We ate out a lot and there are lots of fantastic restaurants close by with fabulous service and delicious foods. The biggest problem for us at the hotel is smoking, it absolutely stinks on the balcony as everyone seems to be smoking and we couldn't sit outside on an evening as people were sat outside constantly chain smoking, we spoke to other people who said it spoiled it for them also. Some of the entertainment was really good and included Flamenco Dancers and the acrobats. This is a 3 star hotel but needs work to bring it up to 4 star standards. Tossa de mar is a beautiful place that we will definitely return to, but it would be to a different hotel.

We spent a lot of time researching hotels in and around the Costa Brava area as part of a holiday package deal, and we settled on this hotel in Tossa de Mar. Overall, this was a great hotel and we were very happy we'd chosen it. Tossa as a resort if great for families and much quieter (and cleaner/tidier) than Lloret which is further down the coast. The hotel is minutes walk from the beach, with lots of shops around, and a few minutes walk from a big supermarket. The hotel is well presented, and clean, with everything you'd need. Reception staff were helpful and our room was a good size with everything you'd need. The pool gets busy, but we didn't witness crazy people trying to grab sunbeds first thing in the morning. The lifeguard keeps an eye on beds that have been reserved with no one around, and we witnessed towels being removed, which was good. Plenty of sunbeds in and out of the sun, and a small bar by the pool. The spa is well appointed too. The food was good, and quite varied. Lots to choose from and each mealtime was slightly different. The restaurant can get busy, but if you pick the right time you'll have no problems. We stayed full board, so had to pay for drinks, but they weren't expensive. A large beer, equivalent to a pint, was about £3. Evening entertainment was pretty good. I've seen some shockers in other Spanish resorts, but this was good. Singers, a magic act, a quiz and some bingo. A lot of aimed at younger kids, even up to 9/10pm, so if you're after an adults-only holiday, maybe this hotel isn't the best, but we went with 3 kids aged 12-17 and they stayed around for the entertainment too.

Booked this for a solo break to relax and unwind. Really glad I did as location of this hotel is fantastic! Only a few minutes walk to the beach, 10mins to bus station and lots of cafes, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Room basic but had everything I needed, large bathroom and big balcony which you can sunbathe on if you wish. Only downside is walls are very thin however price was very reasonable and I don’t go on holiday to sit in my room! Breakfast was the best meal with a great variety of cooked food, pancakes, pastries and fruit. Lunch was nice (only had this once) and dinner wasn’t bad either- something for everyone. Staff were friendly and helpful, the ladies cleaning the rooms were lovely and they came everyday and did a great job. Evening entertainment didn’t float my boat for what I saw however, again wasn’t fussed about this as plenty of other things to do and also it wasn’t high season when I went so may be different. Pool was lovely, not freezing, very big and there was never any battles for a sun bed, surprisingly quiet for the size of the hotel. If you are looking for good value and not 5* luxury, ignore the negative reviews and book, very reasonable price and cocktails were very nice! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Let's talk about the advantages first, and eat a lot around. In the last 2 days, I found out that going out is a children's paradise, and the children are crazy. The children's paradise goes to the opposite side of the beach and there is a local restaurant (garlic restaurant) that offers seafood platters and good value for money. Going to the beach for 10 minutes, the old street is also there. The hotel has a swimming pool, the water is too cold, and there is a heated pool, upstairs. The room feels like home, simple, if you don't ask for a night. The 5-year-old child was charged 6.04 euros a night for an extra bed and breakfast. Parking is a difficult point. We fell on Saturday afternoon and finally turned 3 laps to find a seat. Look at the next few days, unless you are very early or late, there is usually no parking. Breakfast is simple, bread, egg, cheese, ham, bacon, fruit and vegetable yoghurt, coffee tea, orange juice. There is no water or hot water in the room. Go to the supermarket and buy it, not far away.

Family hotel. Sympathetic staff. The rooms are very well suited, with balcony and air conditioning. The sounds of the room above are not terrible. Telephone with 3 channels (info) in French. The swimming pool is fine. The breakfast is right even if most products are industrial (growing, orange juice, ...). In the negative light, two things: We could not connect to the hotel's wifi in 6 days, whether in the room, at the reception, at the swimming pool or elsewhere. Finally, I didn't appreciate that a woman was bathing with a burkini in the pool, burkini that she then used in the breakfast room and in the city. On the hygiene level, it is not possible. I don't understand that the hotel accepts this.

I liked the hotel so much. I was so impressed because I didn´t expect anything but the hotel was really good! I had 3 nights and it was am amazing stay for me. I decided to spend my birthday in Tossa. The hotel provided (thank the boy at the reception; your care is appreciated a lot) a really good room with the a nice garden view. There is a big and beautiful magnolia grows there. The hotel gave me a birthday present. It was a small bottle of cava. Mmmm. THANKS a lot for attention. It was so nice from your side. The room was big with the perfect king size bed. I had a cleaning service everyday! Breakfast was so tasty and it was a right decision to included it in my stay. The hotel is clean everywhere. There are some paintings ang nice things hanging on walls. Also, there is a swimming pool on the 4th floor. I attach a photo. The atmosphere there is so relaxed. There is a bar there. You can spend some time in the pool taking sun baths, reading books with cocktails! I recommend this hotel for your stay! Don't forget to include breakfast :) Enjoy your stay as I did! First time visiting this hotel and would defiantly recommend people to go. From the first check-in to check out there was nothing one could complain about. The staff were so friendly through all areas of the hotel. There was a great variety of food for everyone and so fresh. The cleanliness was amazing, part of the hotel was cleaned nearly 24 hours per day. The only critic or observation I have is the jacuzzies by the main pool. It was very difficult to enjoy as there were so many children in them and sometimes unsupervised, it would have been nice to use them a little more often. I would like to mention the children. I was dreading going as we normally go on adults only holiday but I must say the children were so good at all time and especially in the restaurants (a big out out to the parents). See the sea view room map without hesitation to book a three-person room with sea view! Say good 180 degree sea view and pool view, came to the hotel but arranged a second floor, there is no pool view, only 60 degrees sea view! Going to the front desk, Complaint told me that the room with pool view + sea view is small. I don't dare to book a foreign hotel in Ctrip next time.

I’m April May we couldn’t believe what good value this hotel is . We opted for a room with a balcony that overlooks the pool . The Rooms are compact but have everything you need . Breakfast lovely and included. We payed extra for parking (€13 per day ) There are a few spaces outside the hotel that were reserved. There is additional parking nearby . Would definitely go back . If you book via their website there is a discount compared to booking sites . All in all excellent value . Great staff . Wonderful stay . Tossa de Mar is a lovely seaside resort for a relaxing holiday

We used to stay here some 20 years ago and its was just as perfect as it was then. We stayed for 4 nights in a spacious, clean, and comfortable room with airconditioning and sea view. I loved the Modernista architecture of the hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a private underground parking nearby but we were very happy with Davids help as parking was quite a challenge with our big SUV. Breakfast on the inside terrace was a perfect way to start the day. We felt really pampered and would love to return another time.
